I hope everyone is surviving the winter storms and rain around the country.

My arms/hands are feeling better everyday. Tomorrow we get to take the band aids off to see what the incisions look like....not sure If I'm ready to see that yet?

I could never look at my incisions at first. Greg always had to clean and put the dressings on them for me. i'm a wimp!!
After a month I finally looked at it. Now they are just scars. Some have faded away, others still are there.

Good luck with looking at yours. Hoep it feels even better tomorrow.

Denise,

I heard about your quake on the news. I cant believe you and Jack slept through it. I know it wasnt huge but usually they sound like a train coming when they hit, I have been woke up a couple of times by that noise.

One time we were sitting in the living room and my rocking chair started rocking all by itself. The kids were young and thought it was a ghost.
10 seconds later a quake hit.

Glad it wasnt big enough to do any real damage to your house.

Well, we took the bandages off this morning to see how it was healing and.....it was as bad looking as I imagined it would be!

The bruising is almost all gone, but the incision isn't pretty. I'm sure in another week it will look better.

Today I'm hurting a little more, but I think it's all in my head because I looked at it?

I'm going to lay back down. I've been really tired and sleepy since the surgery.

Hi all, sorry I haven't be here in a few days, been fighting a really nasty cold. This is the time of year I usually get really sick...it sucks.

Dr gave me so heavy duty antibiotic for the next 10 days so I should be feeling better soon

greg.....I cant belive you became quezzy looking at your wound.....that stuff dosnt bother me......now getting that shot in the knee.....that I wouldnt look while they were doing it......i would have passed out if i did

Greg, I cant look at wounds untl they are at least 2 weeks old!! They look so aweful and yes i think they hurt worse once you see them.

But remember you just had surgery there and it has to hurt before it can heal up to feel better. it has been too soon for it to feel better yet. So even if it hurts worse today, that doesnt mean it wll stay that way

Hows the knee doing now??

Its getting colder this afternoon, wind is picking up so the heavy rain cant be far behind.

I cleaned the bathroom, even the shelves, have the 3rd load of laundry washing and filed a ton of receipts I have needed to put away for a long time. So I did manage to do something today.

Will have to dry the clothes soon.
I am so happy the girls are sleeping as the neighbors cat is walking around outside which drives my dogs nuts!!

We now have about 30 inches of snow piled up. Roads around us are clean and the kids are FINALLY going back to school tomorrow. They also lose their Monday holiday to make up one of the days from this week. That sucks because they really could have held school on Tuesday and today but for some reason called it off - i think because most of the other big districts in the region were doing so.

The worst thing about the snow is that the way they have plowed the roads you take your life into your hands pulling out of a driveway, store parking lot or pretty much anywhere. You almost just have to say "hope there's no one there" and go for it. I wish they'd plow out some of those mounds - specially the one that connects my community to a main road.

Tonight is at home night (AGAIN) and tomorrow night I go see the Pitt-WVU hoops game with friends. Saturday and Sunday mornings, Lizzie swims in a meet and Saturday night Mina and I actually have a date! our babysitter was finally available for a weekend night.

Now we need sun and a slight rise in temps to start melting some of this *$)(#*($#&$#( snow. Rumor has it it may storm again Sunday night. I am choosing to not think about it.

Only 43 days until we have our first stay (and in a one-bedroom!!!) at Bay Lake Tower. Hate wishing time away but....

Philadelphia actually got more snow than we did. However, their city knows how to handle snow removal. And ours doesn't.

Janel took me out to Applebee's for dinner tonight. I had cabin fever pretty bad.

We had a nice night out. She had to cut my steak for me because I couldn't work the knife.

Well its still dumping rain which is better than snow but boring!!!

Nice and sunny here today...but cold....nothing else going on....I only have 6 more working days till I leave for Colorado!!! Then when I get back we start with our new system her at work........not looking forward to that at all.....

So whats everyone's plans for valentines day? I'm going to see Kenny Rogers tomorrow nite....have 3rd row seats....looking forward to the show.
