Hi All:

Wow what a wind storm last night as Kathy has mentioned. I've got to fly to LA tonight to go to work this week and it's pouring and windy down there as well. They are NOT used to rain, supposed to be close to 8 inches by weeks end. Hopefully I don't float away. Should be an interesting flight in tonight. Have a great week, stay safe!

Hi Melissa,
I was wondering how you did with all the wind. Glad your ok with no damages.

I believe we are going to get the same tonight where i am. Of course I am right against the mountains to the coast. So we do get their weather a lot.
It is only 45 minutes on windy back roads to the beach from me.

Good luck with that flight. Maybe you should have booked a ship instead of plane to get you there:lmao:

Thought I'd check in before we drive down to pick up Chayce.

He went skiing for the weekend with his cousins. He's becoming quite an avid snow boarder......which reminds me, I need to make sure our accident insurance is paid up.

Have a good night.

Morning all,

WOW the wind was twice as bad last night. It actually moved a heavy dumpster here close to the RV, it almost hit our satellite dish.
The news said many lost power and lots of trees down all over the place. More wind coming tonight:eek:

I know it scared the dogs so Minnie wanted to snuggle by me and Pixie by Greg all night. That was ok because everytime I would almost fall asleep a big noisy gust would come and wake me up anyway.

Poor Pixie was so confused when we didn't give her breakfast today. She crawled under the table and was putting her head into the food bag. Luckily we caught her before she got any food.
Minnie wanted her breakfast too, which she got right after Greg left with Pixie.
Minnie was upset about that too but now is sleeping. YEAH!!

Kathy

Good morning Kathy.

So far your rain hasn't made it my way. I've got clear skies and lots of sun today. :woohoo:

Chayce got home last night and said the skiing was awesome this past weekend....he's already planning his next trip.

I'm suppose to go get him registered to take drivers training this summer.....that's a scary thought! I received my drivers license on my 14th birthday and had my pilots license by the time I was 16, so I guess I shouldn't worry so much.

Keep us posted on how Pixie is doing. :thumbsup2

Morning everyone

Kathy - good luck with Pixie today

Melissa - yeah LA is going crazy with all the rain. We were supposed to get some of it but so far we've only gotten a drizzle (still enough to cause accidents everywhere). Just be careful because they drive crazy in the rain.

I had a nice relaxing long weekend but it sure made it tough to come back to work today. At least it's only a 3 day work week:thumbsup2.

Jeff- pictures please, I really need a DCL fix.

It's along walk and you know men, he said he didnt need directions and he wont ask for them:rolleyes1 I figure if your lucky you might see him by the end of summer. But dont hold your breath;)

Just talked with the vet. Pixies procedure went well. She is still groggy but seems to be coming out of the anesthia good.
We should know on friday if it was cancerous. Greg can get her around 4:30 to 5 today. I cant wait to get her home. I am more stressed than she is:lmao:

Poor Minnie is moping around today. She misses her. I know she is going to want to play when Pixie gets home, but thats not going to happen.

Thanks for the good wishes and pixie dust everyone

Pixie would appreciate it if she could understand.:goodvibes

Denise, sorry to hear about your knee. Have you tried soaking in a hot bath or hot tub?

Kathy, is Pixie home now?

Pixie got home about 5:30 and was pretty groggy still.
Found out the tumor had grown into her leg about half way through her leg.
He thinks he got it all plus some good tissue all the way around it but if results come back bad he may have to remove the pad at the back of her leg above the foot. It had spread up to it on the inside.

She was starving so I gave her just a few bites of food and now she is sleeping. I have pain pills for her twice a day. Since it was so deep it will be very painful for a few days. More than we all thought.

I still dont know how I am going to get her in and out the steps tomorrow. Greg had to lift her tonight. Maybe tomorrow she will be well enough to manage on her own, but I doubt it. wish me luck!!

Gotta run,

Kathy

Ouch! That does sound painful!

I hope she's feeling better tomorrow. :thumbsup2

Poor Pixie.... I sure hope this all comes out ok. I hate to have one of my mutt relatives hurting... The good news is she has the best mom and dad to take care of her.

I hope your knee feels better Denise....I agree that knee pain is just such a nasty thing. I dislocated mine some years back (it involved drinking, a stack of speakers and an air guitar). You dont need to know anything beyond that.:rolleyes1

Btw... I was wrong about the countdown. Anyone who believed my numbers should realize that mutts cant count. (It IS an official count of 297 days til Playa Del Carmen though).

Happy days, kids..... lets cruise.

Morning all,

well I was up all night with a restless pup but we survived. Pixie cant get herself in and out of the RV so Greg has to come home at lunch to take her out. I cant lift her. 86 pounds is too much for me. She is finally sleeping due to pain meds.
Just wanted to say hello before I try to nap a few minutes. I am too old to stay up all night, especially when there's no party:lmao:
Denise, hope your better today.

Both you and Greg need a hot humid climate to help with your aches and pains. After a month in Florida Gregs arthritis disappeared almost completely. As sson as we returned to Oregon it came back. Maybe we should all go together and buy a topical island just for bananaheads:goodvibes

I have 23 cents to start with. Guess we need to start buying lottery tickets:thumbsup2

I think your countdown is still wrong. We are going on the Oasis on Nov 13th and according to my countdown I have 297 days. Aren't you guys going after Thanksgiving???? Try again:banana::banana:
