Hi... we are cruising on the Wonder Feb 21 and have decided to book this cruise when we are on board. It will be 7 of us I think. Me(40th b-day cruise), DH(47), DD(15th b-day cruise), DD(6), DS (4) and DS(3rd b-day cruise).
Looking at 11's 10' and 9's. DD is severely disabled so this will most likely be her last cruise with us :O( however, I will ask about any enhancements to the boat in terms of wheelchair-bound folks.

Btw... I was wrong about the countdown. Anyone who believed my numbers should realize that mutts cant count. (It IS an official count of 297 days til Playa Del Carmen though).

I think your countdown is still wrong. We are going on the Oasis on Nov 13th and according to my countdown I have 297 days. Aren't you guys going after Thanksgiving???? Try again

I was wondering how you did with all the wind. Glad your ok with no damages.

I believe we are going to get the same tonight where i am. Of course I am right against the mountains to the coast. So we do get their weather a lot.
It is only 45 minutes on windy back roads to the beach from me.

Good luck with that flight. Maybe you should have booked a ship instead of plane to get you there

Thanks Kathy! We are thankful no damages, last time we had a storm go through we lost a tree in our front yard and had to have our roof on our RV replaced :-(

Flight worked out great, pilot said as we were taking off that the weather had improved tremendously and we had a very smooth flight. Today it's very windy and rainy and we'll end up flooding down here. It's pretty bad, the worse in the seven years I've been doing this commute.

Hope we don't float away today!

I am Kathy and I have crusied with many of these crazy people a few times before. We havnt booked this crusie yet. We are hoping to come along so I am posting to get aquainted with everyone new just in case we do get to go.

No kids with us. Sounds like a large group thats coming, thats great. The more people the more fun it is. 3 birthdays to celebrate ! A cruise is a great way to celebrate your birthday

Pixie got home about 5:30 and was pretty groggy still.
Found out the tumor had grown into her leg about half way through her leg.
He thinks he got it all plus some good tissue all the way around it but if results come back bad he may have to remove the pad at the back of her leg above the foot. It had spread up to it on the inside.

Poor puppy.....I really hope things turn out good for her.

I hope your knee feels better Denise....I agree that knee pain is just such a nasty thing. I dislocated mine some years back (it involved drinking, a stack of speakers and an air guitar). You dont need to know anything beyond that.

Both you and Greg need a hot humid climate to help with your aches and pains. After a month in Florida Gregs arthritis disappeared almost completely. As sson as we returned to Oregon it came back. Maybe we should all go together and buy a topical island just for bananaheads

Well I purchased my carpet last nite...having it installed on the 29th....next new furniture for the room and its done......cant wait to see how it looks painted and carpeted.

Morning all,

wind and rain all night again. I am really getting tired of this.

I got a bit more sleep last night. Pixie wasnt as restless, thank goodness.

Greg changed her dressing today and said it looks good. No signs of infection or swelling. yeah!!

She is sleepy this morning but that is from the pain meds. She is drinking and eating a bit more late last night, so hopefully today she will be even more normal. Then it will be ahrd to keep ehr from running. She is suppose to take it easy on the leg until tuesday when we remove the bandages for good.

I guess she will have to beon a leash everytime we go out to slow her down. She doesnt understand so she will run, then hurt afterwards. Crazy doggie.

Denise you will have to take a before and after photos of your room to show us. I would love to see the difference inhow it looks when its done.

I think it's great that they are still going to Haiti. At least 250 people are still making money for their families. It's been suggested that when you go there maybe leave behind some extra shoes, clothes and water. Also, maybe pay a little more for the stuff in the market. Even though I'm not going there until the end of the year, I'm planning on doing as much as I can to help them out.

Hey all

Kathy - I hope Pixie is making a strong recovery.

Lizzie and I are leaving in a couple of hours for our daddy-daughter weekend at WDW. Staying at the Poly. Planning to hit the MK tonight, DHS for extra magic hours tomorrow morning to ride Toy Story and then on to Epcot for the rest of the day.

Sunday is Magic Kingdom, swimming and Extra Magic Hours at MK at night - how great is it that EMH is from 8 to 11 p.m. We can handle that better than the crazy 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. EMH.

Monday we are heading home late afternoon but will hit a park (MK or Epcot) in the morning for sure.

Dining reservations at Tutto Italia (lunch), Grand Floridian Cafe (dinner), Kouzzina (dinner) Whispering Canyon (lunch), Kona Cafe (breakfast) and Liberty Tree Tavern for breakfast before the park opens on Sunday so we can hit the ground running. Liberty Tree is doing characters for a short time only because of renovations at Crystal Palace. Not sure which of the lunch and dinners we will keep as it will depend on where we are at that moment in time.

Ready for a REAL commando assault of WDW unlike anything else we've ever tried.

Um, Kathy? If Greg's lifting Pixie in and out of the motorhome, how is my bathroom going to get done?!

Well Shell it's like this:

I hate to ruin your self esteem but the dog is more important than your bathroom. I know thats hard to believe but it's true. You'll just have to keep running out behind the bushes for a bit longer. It might be a good idea to take a shovel and bury some of that stuff so the neighbors dont complain too much. I'm sure Verna knows how to handle a situation about an outside bathroom if you need help.

Have a great time. Weather should be good now. I am anxious to see The Crystal Palace when they finish remodeling it. They have been working a long time on it, so it's a major remodel.

Its been dumping rain all night and still is. I cant even see out my window its coming down so hard.
Greg needs to head out to his moms once more after work today and will be back sunday. Peter is coming to stay with me in case i need help with Pixie although she seems to get around much better now. Once the pain pill wears off you can tell she is in pain still. I hate that. We only have 5 days worth of pills so I hope the pain is better by then.

Today we should get her test results, momday at the latest. I hope they call today. I hate waiting.


Anyone besides Jeff have plans for the weekend?

Just an fyi.....I will not have a computer at home for 1 week until my family room is put back together.....believe me.....this is going to be a challenge to say the least.....

We are sailing in two weeks on the Princess Crown!! I am so excited, never been on Princess before.

My sialing days may be over, we are buying an RV!! Should have it delivered next week after we get home from Aspen skiiing.

That's so funny....we just sold our RV and have been enjoying cruising more.

You'll have to let us know how you enjoyed Aspen. I haven't been skiing in years. My son Chayce goes snowboarding almost daily, but that's because we only live about 10 miles from the ski resort.

How's Pixie doing this morning?

I've been running errands all day. Finally got home and found Janel home early. She was sick, so I gave her some Nyquil and sent her to bed.

I think I found me a deal on airfare into Barcelona for our cruise in December....$219 each way doesn't sound to shabby! I'll sleep on it tonight and probably book it tomorrow.

I need to call the airline to make sure I can choose my seat now and not have to wait until check in.

I'm off to bed....Good night.

Dont worry Greg my bloomers arn't in a tizzy yet
But it's close to it.


Pixie is doing pretty good over all. But when the pain meds start to wear off you can see in her face she is feeling the pain. She is eating normal again and almost no limp at all. Just hate the wait until Monday for the test results now.

The pups got uncovered last night and it got cold in here, wish I had set the furnace a bit higher, because they got up just before 5 a.m. wanting me to cover them up.
So I did and they slept until 6 a.m. and by then the meds were wearing off Pixie and so I had to get up and give her medicine. Of course by then they needed to "GO" outside. So by the time I got back in i was too awake to go back to bed.
So much for actually sleeping in for once.


No plans for today. Just keeping an eye on Pixie and staying home. Peter came to visit so I do have some human company which is nice.
