Hi all,
it's hot here too, although I know Christine is much hotter than I am. However we will be close today since we may hit 100 today:eek:

I am finishing up my :laundy: this morning. I will dry it in the laundry room here, lucky that means no added heat in the RV.

Not much else happening here, just hibernating until our heat wave passes. Next week we will cool to the upper 80's.;)

Hope everyone can keep cool,

Kathy

Hope everyone is having a great Thursday! :goodvibes

Woke up this morning to half of my little town shut down and semi trucks driving past my house which is NOT normal. :confused3 Parents calling asking if we were ok and everything else. There was a bomb threat between the bank and the gas station today in town. :scared1:

http://www.wlfi.com/dpp/news/local/Suspicious-package-found-in-Rossville

We are all fine and nothing was close to our house besides the traffic. What a way to start the morning though! My little town of 1500 people has been all in an uproar today though because of it. Too hot today to do anything else outside so now we are all inside watching Underdog.

Hope everyone else's day is NOT as eventful as mine has been!:lmao:

OK, well, after all that fun stuff, they detonated the "bomb" and come to find out, someone was trying to donate a box of hearing aids to the Lion's Club. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

http://www.jconline.com/apps/pbcs.d...=20100708&Kategori=NEWS&Lopenr=7080801&Ref=PH

The whole town is now having a great laugh about it. :goodvibes

Thats just crazy. I am glad it wasnt a bomb. I bet the person who left the package in the corridor felt pretty stupid :lmao:

We have had lots of scares like that in Oregon too. So far only one was a real pipe bomb, the rest were innocent items. Thank goodness.

Well we didnt get to the 100 they predicted but did make 94 and should be the same today. Starting tomorrow we should be cooler for the next week, only 80's which sounds great to me.

I may not post tomorrow or it will be late in the day as i am going to visit my mom and interview a new possible dog sitter before coming home. I will leave around 8 a.m. and probably wont get home until dinner time, so I will be tired.

Hope everyone is keeping cool where ever you live.
catch ya later,

Kathy

just wanted to pop in and say hi, still busy with school....i have 4 more projects to do (5 more weeks) and i am done!!! WOOHOOO

Hi all,
just got home after visiting my mom and checking out a new dog sitter.
I think the sitter will work. Next saturday we will take the pups there for a temperment evaluation and if that goes well then we will start leaving them now and then so se ehow it will work out for them.

It was cooler, only 92 today.

Got stuck in a bad traffic jam after a terrilbe accident on the freeway. The mom died and her son was life flighted and is going to be ok. Their car was flipped upside down and crunched badly. Dont know how it happened but it was aweful.

Quiet day other than that.

will check back tomorrow,

Kathy

Boy everyone must be busy this weekend. Its so quiet here??

Nice sunny day again today. close to 90 I think?

I am doing laundry and then heading out to the store for groceries today.
Exciting huh:lmao:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend,

Jeff, hows the new pool working out??

Kathy

Morning nanaheads,

well i can hardly believe it but when I visited my oldest DD this weekend I noticed she had a cute BANANA tatooed on the top of her right foot.:lmao:
It had delicate looking bird wings on it and the words Bananabird on it.
That is the nickname she gave her DD when she was little and its stuck with her.
I told her that since her mom is a bananahead it must have worn off on her:banana::banana: I will hopefully get a photo of it to share soon.;)

We are lucky with clouds this morning and only upper 70's today then right back up in the 90s again this week. Since its a bit cooler we are going to BBQ chicken tonight and baked potatoes with corn on the cob. We havnt had a full dinner forever due to the heat.

Hope everyone had a great weekend,

Kathy

Hey where is everyone this week?

Hope your all out having fun.

Suppose to be a good day today as far as weather goes, hope they are right. It actually got cold enough over night that we had to turn on the furnace this morning. Thats crazy for this time of the year.

Well have a good tuesday all,

I'll check back later to see if anybody is around.
I figure Jeff is sitting by the pool in his swim suit with a cool glass of wine instead of posting :thumbsup2

Kathy

I'm kind of around. Can't go to camp for now, still having the insurance there investigating.

Beautiful weather though. :)

Busy weekend for us around here, family reunion and 2 class reunions for me. :)

Hope everyone is doing well. Will try to check in this week while trying to prepare for the weekend.

Pool is great Kathy. Kids love it. Mina loves it. I love it. Neighbors love it. Today was one of the few days no one went in because the kids had a camp today and then it was raining when they got home.

We are starting to prepare for our upcoming cruise. :cool1:Crazy that we are leaving in just a little more than 3 weeks. :dance3: Just switched our Rome excursion yesterday. We had booked the DCL excursion that had the kids activity (a puppet show) in addition to sightseeing and lunch. But it also had a 90 minute bus ride each way and the total time for the excursion was nearly 12 hours. And it missed the Pantheon.

So we switched to another excursion - with all the same sites, plus the Pantheon - and a train ride instead of bus - which sounds fun too -- and it is closer to 10 hours instead. No kids activity but the girls were like "ewwww" when we talked about the puppet show. So hopefully that was a good choice. We've never been on the ship for more than 7 days so this 11 nighter is very exciting for the ports AND the time on the ship. Trying not to wish the time away though because when we get back kids only have a week before school starts.

Trying to decide what to do in the fall - we are booked on the traditional Nanahead :banana::banana: date but alas we are the ONLY nanaheads...so we are considering switching to the Oct. 30 sailing. Girls think it'd be cool to trick or treat on the ship. Or we may cancel altogether. We shall see.

I'm off to Boston on business tomorrow. Hope to come home with a new client. :thumbsup2 Have a great week everyone.

Morning all,

Hi Morgan, I know your busy now so it was so nice of you to drop by.:goodvibes

Hi Jeff,
I figured all of you had been enjoying the pool. Sure hope you can make this cruise. We are doing our best to come too. Cant wait to see the Dream plus a few days at WDW as long as we are coming that far.:thumbsup2

I think you made a great change for excursions. As the girls get older things like puppet show may sound childish to them where 6 months ago it was a cool thing to do. That ewwww from kids means I am growing up dad.

My kids were very vocal about that. I wanted to keep them little and innocent but that didnt happen. Soon they are teen agers then everything the family does is ewwww:lmao:

Hope your cruise is awesome!!! Due to Gregs work schedule we had to cancel our 14 day TA cruise but thats ok, there is always next year and in its place we booked 11 days at WDW this winter. So I still will get my Disney fix this year.:thumbsup2
Luckily they extended the free dining plan recently nto December so we got that oo. So the money we saved on food will go towards this cruise's savings.
Maybe a few extra souvenirs??

Today is heading for 84 so I better finish the laundry before it gets too hot,

later all,

Kathy

Greetings everyone!

Decided I'd better pop in and see what was happening on the Nana thread.

Not much going on our way. We've all been quite busy this summer with work and all the kid's activities they're involved in.

We've been sparred from the high temperatures the rest of the country has been experiencing, but then this is Idaho where our 4 seasons consist of: almost winter, winter, still winter and construction/irrigation season. :rotfl2:

Take care,

Greg

Hi Greg, its about time you said Hello!!

I thought maybe you were on a trip or something.

Glad all is well, drop by a little more often, ok!!!

Hi Kathy,

Nope, no trips for us.....yet.

We're still planning for our Med. cruise in December. I was on the phone with British Airways for several hours yesterday because they canceled 2 legs of our flight and re-booked us on other flights. The one leg worked, but the other wouldn't work with our plans to visit Budapest. After 3 calls and many hours of negotiating we finally got flights that work except I've had to re-route us through Vienna now.
I told the kids that since we're going through Vienna, Austria on our way to Budapest I expect them to starting running through the mountains and break out singing "the hills are alive....with the sound of music!" Chayce just looked and me and said "yeah, like that's gonna to happen?" Then he and Nicole started laughing! :rotfl2:

Well ,your the parent and you need to set the example for the kids. So tell them to turn on the cam corder and record YOU singing through the mountians:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:
I bet more than one person has done something like that:lmao:
I would if I was there. Of course my voice would even scare off the Yeti but that wont stop me.

Glad you got it all straightened out with flights, I HATE it when we get flights all set and then they notify us they have made changes. GRRRRR!!
Luckily DH does the calling to get it straightened out. Guess he is good for something:rolleyes1

Evening all:

Been kinda busy this week myself.....just finishing up last minute cleaning things....now just hanging out and waiting for Heather to get here....she should be here in a bout 3 hours....:yay: I cant wait to see Izzy:love:...poor baby, they were supposed to be here last nite, but Izzy woke up around 1am with a fever, so Heather ran her to the ER....double ear infection. So she decided to wait an extra day and let the medicine kick in.
Talked with Heather around 1pm our time today and she was in Nebraska...Izzy was doing ok....she said she was sleeping, she had given her another dose of her medicine....so I'm sure she will be awake when they get here....she probably slept most of the ride here.....

Nothing else going on here....
