Hi all,

just got back from a nice ride through the mountains around here.

Luckily I thought to take our camera. Here is what we saw.

We usually see just the female Elk when we are lucky enough to see them, but this time was all males. There were more off to the side.
later i saw 5 more in someones back yard too.

Hello all!

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. Bible school and swim lessons are finally over so hopefully things will settle down a bit around here. I doubt that will happen now until DH and I have an empty nest.

Just got a new pop-up trailer for our reenactment we do every year. Got it cleaned and the kids and I even spent a night in it. It's supposed to rain tonight so DH wants to set it up and sleep out there to see if it leaks. It's a '96 model, but it's in good shape for what we want to use it for.

Kids are utterly exhausted, think we are going to stay inside even though it's beautiful today, and just rest. They are both wanting to go back to sleep and it's only 10:13am!!!

We had a tent trailer for years when our kids were little. It was so much easier than setting up the tent. Plus if it rained when we were out we had aplace to sit and play games that was comfortable instead of sitting on the sleeping bags on the ground. Hope it works great for you.

Your right, as long as you have kids at home it will not slow down. But enjoy it, time passes way too fast and BINGO!! They are grown with kids of their own. It happens so fast once its over.

Well we have clouds and cold this morning but suppose to be 75 today and then we start hitting up in the 90 temps the rest of the week. Its the 5th of July and we really havnt had summer yet?


Had a good 4th here, nice and quiet out in the country, which is good since pixie is terrified of the noise of fireworks.

you never said how Emily's first swim meet was?
Did she have fun? Not too nervous?
I hope she had fun and wants to continue. Swimming is such great exercise and fun for everyone.

Hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday.

Busy busy week ahead. We are going to NY on Friday so I only have a few more days to clean up the house and finish packing.

Since we have 4/10s here I don't get today off, an extra really would of helped but since I took off last week for my replumb, I didn't want to take anymore time off.

Same here, I havent been on posting....these days are just so busy around here. I have been in the yard working all week getting ready for Heather...or the party I should say....as Heather dosnt care if we have weeds or not...anyway...off today and just taking it easy....just a little and thats it. I only have 7 more working days till my vacation..just hanging out at home with Heather and Izzy...

4th was nice and quiet.....we usually sit on our driveway and are able to watch the fireworks from the high school....but it has gotten so built up and all the trees are getting large that you cant really see them anymore so I really didnt see any this year....Oh well!!!

Hey Kathy
She LOVED her first meet and she has since been in 2 other meets. She actually won 3 ribbons in her first meet too! so that made her very excited.

Lizzie on the other hand has been having a tough summer. She is on her second ear infection and this time her eardrum may have burst. She is going back to the doc's tomorrow. She's a kid that never got ear infections (one her whole life) and then now she gets two in a month....with 2 swim teams going...and the year we built a pool. Not fair.

Busy around here. Had a mini meet yesterday with Bill and Shell and Cheri, Bill and Jessalyn over for the day. Lots of fun. I'll post some pics later.

Thats great Emily did so well and is having fun with the meets.

Sure hope Lizzie's ear clears up so. I assume she wears plugs when she swims? I know they can help although they are uncomfortable to wear.

I am jealous you got to see some of the gang, but also glad you all had a good time. Do you know if Cheri and Bill are coming on this cruise?
I know shell and Bill are.

Suppose to finally have a heat wave for the next week at least here.
Only 85 today, the rest of the week, close to 100.
Quite a jump from the low 60's we have been having.

Evening all:

Kathy I wanted to comment on your pics yesterday....they are really awesome.....

Its dark and rainy here right now...which is ok I guess my garden needed to be watered so I will save money and let mother nature do it....

Back to work today and what a crazy day it was....actually I had to work satuarday 9-12. Ok, I knew it was a holiday weekend...so our phones go "over from service" at 9am.....on satuarday's we book just same day appts. so by 10am we had no phone calls....so I take my cell phone and call our number.....guess what...the service had us closed. So we had not patients and no phone calls.....so we all left early..... It was just the fact that we all came into work and we really didnt need to be there....
Not sure where the error was....I think the answering service messed up....

Nothing else going on now but a nice heavy rain.

Mornin folks! Hi mom!

It was a great weekend, first having Bill, Cheri and Jess come to our house and then all of us meeting up with the Durosko clan at their home! (Woo just cant get over how much Miss Emily has grown up). Aside from a nasty sunburn---I think I need spf 350 at this point, everything was just awesome! I vote for more mini nanahead meets----oh, wait...

Glad everyone had a good weekend. Like Kathy, our furry kids were affected by the fireworks. Duesey is terrified of them and it wouldn't be so bad but Coki keeps blowing up M-80's in the back yard, lighting bottle rockets out of her lil paws....she just has NO fear of anything.

Anyways, ...Cpt. Mutt, checking in to see if everyones doin well!!! <salute>

Well we are headed to 95 today. Thats way too hot for Oregon. I am hibernating today accept potty breaks for the girls.

Hmmm, mini nana meet, sounds like a great idea

It hasn't been to hot here low 100s, however, we are going to NY this weekend and they are having an awful heat wave, hottest it's been in 30 years. I just hope it cools down by the time we get there.
