Hi Beth,

Please add 13 more folks to the beach party in Cozumel!! :cool1: We are 7 adults and 6 kids under the age of 11.

Let me know about the Treasure Hunt, etc... so I can help if needed. I am sure the kids will want to be included in that.

Thanks!:)
Kristen

Jennifer I have this same problem with my just turned 9 year old. Drives me nuts.

I should mention that my 9 year old is growth delayed and still wears a size 6 or a size 7 slim. So, she would still fit in the Gymboree stuff, but now only wants to shop at Justice!

No peanut allergies here!

On a related note, schimj and I finished our FE gifts this past weekend! Well, unless more than 35 cabins sign up, then we will need to make a few more :cool1:

Oh, Justice. We went there for the first time this weekend. Oh my. I told Morgan she had to spend her own money. Turns out, she's cheap with her money, not so much with mine :) She did get some cute sneakers for $10 and an adorable tank top.

This is the only place my girls want to shop now too, My 6 year old can't wear a 6, it falls off, but a 7 slim is fine, :confused3 I just don't get it.

We should start a petition to ask Gymboree to make bigger sizes!

Gymboree also has Crazy 8 & their sizes still fit.

I ALWAYS go with a 40% off coupon. However last time we were there & the girls were trying on clothes DS (3) picked up a stuffed animal and started playing with it. Unknown to me or DH there was a vial of perfume around the stuffed dog's neck and he broke it. Now we are the proud owners of Stinky Dog

Hi Kristen,
Glad that you can join us. It should be a fun day at Cozumel beach full of Magic cruisers. Could you PM me and let me know the gender and ages of those in your party under the age of 18 (names not needed) so that I can add them to my totals at the front of our forum?

With the addition of Kristen's party of 13 we are at "105". By my calculations it looks like Nachi has reached capacity. I'll email Katie at Island Marketing to see if they agree. Maybe we should bring some mouse ears to hand out to our servers. Wouldn't that be a hoot?!

No joke. The 40% off coupon is a must. They do have some cute stuff, I must admit. Except I wish they did not sell candy or stuffed animals there since DS always insists when he sees the stuff and it's hard to explain why his sister is allowed to buy something but he is not.

Coupon? They have coupons? How do I get these coupons?!

I think you just have to get added to their mailing list. Then they send periodic post cards and catalogues with coupons.

Also, if you give them your child's birth date, they send out a 40% off birthday coupon that month.

Thanks, I went online and signed up for their emails!

The Gymboree polka-dot outfits are ABSOLUTELY adorable! :rolleyes1

Justice is great about their coupons. Don't ever go into one of their stores without one! LOL!!! ;) We've even been able to use just a code before (like an online coupon code) in the store without an actual physical coupon or printout or anything! Sav now gets a lot of her clothes from American Eagle's kids store- 77kids. Love their $7.77 sales!!! I also like them since they have sizes 2-14 (2 as in 2T) so it makes it easy to buy matching dresses for both girls for pictures.
(I know the next step is Abercrombie and Hollister and such....ay!) Brendan was just talking the other day- how excited he is to be in the "pre-teen" club onboard (i.e. Ocean Quest). Wow, they grow up so fast!!!

Nachi should be great- all to ourselves (save, what, 7 people? LOL!!!) :rotfl2:

Earlier today I emailed Katie at Island Marketing inquiring about whether or not the beach at Nachi was maxed out. I also asked if there was enough staff at the ready for our large number. Here is her reply:

"You are correct, we are fully sold out for your date and no longer accepting reservations. We will be sure to have plenty of staff on hand. Because we limit reservations we are sold out quite often so are very used to having a full house. We appreciate your emails and for passing along information to our valued guests. We look forward to a wonderful day at Nachi Cocom."

So there you have it. Nachi is full. I am astounded by the response by people on our cruise. From a few of us speculating about possibly going there, to some tentative commitments, to now maxing out the beach. Because of all the cruise ships in port that day, Cozumel will be crowded no matter what sandy beach people choose. What we've done is found a beach to call our own for the day.

As we get closer to departure there will be more details about the "10 and under" treasure hunt. I am gathering ideas about activities for the actual hunt (do feel free to PM if you have some thoughts) and tjbaggott is helping me with great ideas and with gathering the actual "booty" to be found so feel free to PM her if you want to help add to the loot.

I am crossing my fingers that our day at Nachi will be a sunny one...but then again, who cares as we will all be on vacation in the Western Caribbean!:cool2::cool2::cool2::cool2::cool2:

Can't wait...this is going to be a blast!

We love Justice too. I agree, never go without coupons. I bring my extras with me in case someone in line doesn't have a coupon.

Been off the boards for awhile popping in now and again to catch a quick glimpse of what is going on. Summer with the girls has been very busy. Schools starts here in 2 1/2 weeks.

It will take me a bit to catch up on the boards, but we made final payment and are set to go. We are still cat 9 gty and no quads are showing up as available so I'm curious to see how it works out.

Linda

What's a quad?

A quad is a room for 4 people. There are no rooms for 4 people until you get to a Cat 4 which I don't think they would bump us from a cat. 9 to a 4, although that would be dreamy. Just getting anxious about where we will be.

I checked today for two adults and two kids and was offered Cat. 11, Cat, 8, Cat 6, Cat 5 and Cat 4. Previously, there was nothing but Cat 5 and 4's. I'm guessing people have cancelled? Or have they just opened up blocks of rooms?

I am Cat. 6 GTY and anxious to see where we get placed too.

Does any one know what day the pirate menu is?

Pirate Night/Menu is day 5 Cozumel (Wednesday), as long as they don't change things up. There has not yet been a regular Eastern/Western cruise since the rollout of the Villains menus/show, and while I would suspect it should be a straight switch out for Golden Mickey's, it is possible they might change things up a bit. We'll have to wait and see and hopefully we'll find out any changes from those that cruise before us on the 10/16 Western.

Actually there are quads in every category, even Cat. 12! (Cat. 7 only has 2 quad rooms, the SV rooms). Cat. 4 rooms are the ones that hold five (quint). So while you are GTY 9, you have a lot of opportunity for an upgrade since you would be eligible to occupy any quad room in Cat 8-4! Good luck!!
