I finally got around to watching Oasis of the Seas Maiden Voyage on Discovery Channel online. It was thrilling to actually see the Disney Wonder in Port at Nassau as the Oasis pulled in! Awesome looking ship for sure, but truly, I'm more excited about the Disney Dream as far as new ships go. And our upcoming Magic cruise, I'm beyond excited about it!
I've now decided what we are all wearing for formal night and semi formal night (I have a black dress for each, but one is still different from the other). Funny thing is I haven't worn a dress in YEARS!!!! Skirts yes, but no dresses, in fact, the last dress I can remember wearing was at my cousin's wedding 11 years ago.

Totally excited about it! about THIS cruise!:)

Hey everyone I just realized I made a mistake when I listed the dining rotations and character breakfasts. I had forgotten they changed the rotations when they changed to the Golden Mickey's (which is now Villians) menu. Anyhow as of 3/6/10 here are the *correct* rotations and CB assignments:

APPLAPL (CB Sunday)
LAAPLAP (CB Monday)
PLLAPLA (CB Thursday)

Sorry I totally forgot about the repeating restaurant on Day 3 thing.

Judy thanks for the reminder on the Oasis show, I've had it on my DVR for a while now! We are booked next year on the newest Oasis class ship, Allure of the Seas which is due out in November. Even though we are excited for the Dream/Fantasy and are Disney FREAKS we  RCCL's Freedom class ships. Now they are taking a page out of Disney's book and adding the Dreamworks characters so that should be fun to check out!

A big HELLO to everyone! We spent the last 13 days driving from Virginia to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons & then up to Montana & back so I had LOTS to catch up on as AT&T has no service out west and I couldn't read while DH drove. Now that our big summer vacation is over I'm really getting excited about the cruise. There is so much to do!

Dawn it was an amazing trip. I was very worried how the kids would do in the car for so long, so many days in a row, but they were awesome & we stopped along the way and saw some crazy things like a 60 foot Green Giant in Minnesota & the Corn Palace in South Dakota. We found fun everywhere we went. The only downside was DH REALLY wanted to see a Moose & we had no luck with that, but we saw lots of other wildlife that surprised us.

So glad you had an amazing time! My mother took my brother and I on a trip from Lynchburg, Va to Seattle, Wa when I was 8 yrs old and I still have great memories from the trip! We sent a week in Yellostone at the Old Faithful Lodge which of course now makes me love the Wilderness Lodge for the memories!
What a great experience for your family!

Come to Ottawa to see Moose! We've had a small handful enter the City in the East End this summer. Unfortunately, Some had to be shot dead as they were panicking in public areas, and were becoming dangerous to people in the area. The sleeping darts they can shoot from a gun, wouldn't stop them!

You must post some of those photos on your face book page, I'd LOVE to see some!:)

Judy, I'll get some pictures posted this week. I just downloaded 5300 pictures from the trip to my computer & then uploaded them to Shutterfly. I'll be looking for the highlights. Maybe next summer we can find some Moose.

What a long strange trip it's been. Vikki and just got back from a 17 day road trip that took us through 11 states 3600 miles and I like to add 5 NASCAR tracks:cool1: After 8 days in AKL we spent a 2 days in Savanna GA then 3 days in the Appalachian region of Virginia. And yes AT&T does suck. We were "off the grid" for the entire time we were in the western part of V.A. we finally had service 20 miles out of town. If it was not for us being Iphone lovers, Verizon would have our business. Anyway, we booked our air today. Continental from Newark was cheaper then Jet Blue. Is anyone going to MNSSHP and Very Merry Christmas?

Anyone staying at BLT before?

Hope everyone is having a great summer

We love road-trips and NASCAR too. Don't get a chance to get to the track, but rarely miss a race on TV. Sounds like you had a great time.

We are staying at BLT for two days prior to the cruise. We check in the 28th, MNSSHP on the 29th, Chef Mickeys the morning of the cruise and then 7 days of fun.

Wow, some great road trips going on! Would love to see some of your vacation pictures!

DH and I often talk about a mammoth road trip across the US and Canada in our first year of retirement - still about 25 years away, so plenty of time to save!

We are off to Spain for a week tomorrow, we are very fortunate in that my aunt lives there, so we are staying with her for a week of sunshine, pools, beach, wine and relaxation :beach:.

Have a great week everyone, and we'll see you when we get back :goodvibes

I am hoping to get a chance to update Page 1 / Post 1 with this info tonight :surfweb:

Now THAT'S a plan!! :rotfl:

How many plan to book their boys for Tea with Alice? Someone just offered me a little boys white suit set in his size (was previously a 1st Communion Suit), and I thought my little guy could dress as a prince in it for Tea with Alice, though I'm not too sure what HE'll think of it. I can't ask him either, because he doesn't know about this trip. Is this Tea event just for Girls?

Add us to the list of people staying at BLT. We are flying in on the morning of the 29th and going to MNSSHP that night.

My son is 5 and since his big sis is going (she is 6) he will want to go too.

With all this talk of summer vacations, I thought I would share my excitement with my Dis friends. I just made plans to goto Magic Kingdom next Thursday :yay: DH and I had planned a week at Vero Beach without the kids next week when an unexpected business trip for DH changed our plans. Now he is leaving to goto Seattle on Wednesday so I was able to split my reservations so on Wednesday we will leave Vero Beach I will be checking into Saratoga Springs and will spend Thrusday at the Magic Kingdom before flying home alone on Friday. I am sad that my husband has to leave 1/2 way thru our vacation but I have ALWAYS wanted the freedom of being in Disney alone and am so excited about being able to see the Main Street Electric Parade and the summer Fireworks show.

We had a great time and the time flew by. It was nice having our car on site. I like on-site transportation but it makes it hard if you need to get to another resort. Try getting to Fort Wilderness from AKL. It will take you well over an hour.

That is still a very sore subject the Disney still has not been able to figure out.

They should send out a e-mail for suggestions.

We are doing MNSSHP on the 28th. The 29th is our 10 year anniversary. We were able to get into Victorian and Albert's.

I forgot to mention, when we were in house of the mouse a few weeks ago, we went to visit the plans for Hawaii. The price per point is not that bad. I think we are going to buy more points on the cruise.

Congratulations on 10 years!!!! DH and I are celebrating our 8 yr Anniversary on 11/2 so we will be on the Capt Marvin boat that day. Have a wonderful time at V&A!!!! I have always wanted to eat there but have not gotten there yet. Also that is great you may buy more points. I would love to buy more but we just finished paying off our SSR contract so we just can't consider buying more for awhile. I am sure we will buy more again sometime in the future. I love DVC so much!!!!

Not that I don't love my DH like crazy, but I think time alone at WDW sounds like heaven. :cloud9: I hope you have a fantastic time!

Are you watching that video trip report on youtube? In it, Ben went to the tea with Alice and got picked to sit at the table - I know Tim doesn't know about the trip yet but maybe he would want to watch that with you and you can see what his reaction is to it . . . :confused3

I know...I am just giddy just thinking about being able to do whatever I want and not have to worry about what DH or the kids want to do or see....plus heavenly ALONE time is something I just never get anymore.

Are you watching that video trip report on youtube?
Does anyone have a link to this? I have not heard of it but would love to see it.
