Not sure how many is in your party but I think I read that Judy's count is at 43, meaning room for 4 more on the boat! You might want to PM her!

Wow, don't know how I missed you! I've updated the Update now with all 4 of you and PrincessTrisha's Dad. That now leaves only room for 4 more!!! We definately have the boat to ourselves now for CERTAIN!!

A Reminder about the DVD captain Marvins does, and sells for quite a bit. If any are interested we could split into several groups for that DVD. I don't feel ok with us just getting one DVD and copying it for all our group, I'd feel bad for the Captain Marvins Workers. BUT, LOL, I do feel ok if we got DVD's in groups between us, ie: 3 or 4 or whatever of us buy the DVD but each of us who do can split the cost with 2 or 3 other families and I dont' mind being the one to make and ship out the copies. Let me know how you all feel about this. I think we had discussed this earlier on too.

We will for sure buy a DVD. They are good quality and IMO it was well worth the $$$. It does show everyone on the boat, especially when you get your one-on-one time with the rays! If anyone wants to contribute to the cause and get a copy I am down with it, just let me know. But yeah, we will buy one either way!

Judy... we are 10!!!!! So that won't work... I haven't heard from Captain Marvin's yet (but I did mention your name). I am hoping that as we get closer, more folks will join us?!!! It would be great to have 2 boats!

Hey everyone, Can't wait!!!

First Family Cruise - Me and Wife Celebrating 20 years of a great Marriage - My Two Daughters will be 16, One in August 2010 - the other October 2011 and both wanted a cruise instead of Parties.... At least We will have 7 days of enjoyment not 5 hours LOL.. The girls made the decision what cruise line after weeks of research with no interference from us parents. They came back and decided on DISNEY because their (18 month old Sister at the time last November) loves Mickey Mouse. The baby will 27 months old when we go.

We are flying in the day before staying at Port Orleans...

For Nachi, I think the people that count in that number of 100 are those ages 4 and up. So if you only count children's ages 4 and up plus the adults, whats the total number we are at? (3 and unders are free, so I think they don't count in the limit of 100).

I just added 11 more to our count (thanks to pegthelawyer), bringing the grand total of our Magic(al) Party up to 77. This includes babies and toddlers because they are people too! But....if we only count the adults and children who are age 4 and up since they are charged a fee, the number we come to is 74. I think we still have some room for more Disney cruisers if anyone else is interested. Do realize that I have no idea if there are any other non-DIS people who have already booked Nachi. So I will resort to crossing my fingers in hope that we still have room for more people to join us on Nachi Beach. Anyone else interested? If so, contact Island Marketing to check availability.

My DMIL & DFIL just put in a check for availability so hopefully they can get in with us (we told them to do it Monday but they waited). I will let you all know the outcome of that!

FYI- We added our 2 y/o DD to our existing Captain Marvins reservation. So it looks like we are at 55 now. If they split our dis group into two boats I hope the boats at least stay together. I know when we went in 08 the two Capt Marvins boats did split up and we never saw the other boat during the trip. So we'll all have to be sure to request our party stays together.

If I have my numbers right, we've got around 59ish going to Captain Marvin's and 77 (though I know of a few more checking avail) going to Nachi so far. Wow! There is a thread about Nachi on the main DCL forum so you might want to check it out for other comments and some pictures!

Alright gang, since we have been discussing group activities lately it is time to get down to the dirty work and make some decisions about the group lanyards.

For those of you new to the thread, we have discussed purchasing customized lanyards that we can wear onboard to quickly and easily identify other members of our group. These can also serve other purposes including holding nametags, KTTW cards, and in some cases cash/change, pens, receipts, etc. depending on the design we choose. They will be custom screen printed with our cruise name and dates.

We have decided to purchase the lanyards on an each-pays-for-their-own basis. As the head honcho of the lanyard group, I have volunteered to keep track of participants, collect monies, make and receive the order, create name tags, and assemble and distribute at the port or to staterooms.

Pricing on custom items is somewhat tricky and most companies have pretty high minimum orders. Some have setup fees, per attachment fees and etc. I've tried to assemble a sampling of options to give everyone an idea of what we can get and approximate price.

As you can see the minimum orders are higher than our current number if participants- which is 68. Obviously the more we have and the more you order the lower the price (although in our case it is highly unlikely we will boost the quantity high enough to substantially lower these prices).

I've tried to make this as accurate as possible. If anyone has any affiliation with a company that makes custom or promotional products or can make a recommendation I will gladly accept and investigate all suggestions!

When I get some feedback on which type of designs/prices/options the majority would like, then we'll narrow the playing field down and eventually vote on a single design.
