Hey everyone!! Hope you had a great Memorial Day Weekend!

Can anyone give me some insight as to when Disney moves the waitlist for Main seating??? We have a family in our group that has late seating and is on the waiting list.

Any input would be appreciated!

Not totally sure but I think every time an opening occurs they will slot the next person/group on the waitlist in.

Look for a lot of slots to open up at 90 days out when final payment is due.

We were put on the wait list for main dining when we booked this cruise in October 2009. Our wait list came through about two months ago. I found out by looking up our reservation on DCL and seeing that it had changed from LATE to MAIN.

What the prior poster said is true though, I think if you request that all of your reservations be linked that might solve the problem.

Awesome wedding pics!!! Our good friend was sworn in today as an Honorary police surgeon with the NYPD and we were down at 1 Police Police Plaza for the ceremony....very cool. and now I am off to the movies with my mom to see Prince of Persia...can't wait that long to see it on the ship for free LOL!!!

Ha! Sorry! I was typing a fast response before I had to leave and I remembered that someone had given that suggestion earlier, but couldn't remember exactly who!

My husband thinks I've lost my mind getting ready for our cruise! Last night I plopped myself in front of the tv with a big bowl of popcorn and put all my different print outs from this board in a big binder. It is bursting at the seams with great advice from all of you. Maybe I'd better go out and buy another one to fill as we still have 147 (or is it 146?) days to go!

I know lots of Disers do, we did ourselves last year, but no sure if we'll do that this year. Last year, all 6 of us wore matching lime green T-Shirts With a Graphic I had made, ironed onto the front.

We never have before, but after seeing how nice everyone looks in their matching shirts I'm thinking about it, but convincing everyone else will be a hard sell.

We did matching shirts for a day in WDW too. DS16, at the time, wanted me to make him a shirt a totally different color than the rest of us, and have it read "I Don't Do Matching Shirts!" It was a good idea, but I never did get that one made.

I've thought about making them for us, using the graphic for this cruise on Post #1 (was this nenner's graphic?). The kids would do it, I'm sure. DH? Probably not. But I was thinking that instead of a large graphic in the middle (which I would do for the kids) I would make a small version for him and me, placing it where a pocket on a T-shirt might be. I think if I make it a little more understated, he just may do it!

Don't you have all reservations in your group linked together? That should make them have the same dining time as you . . .

Thanks for all the comments! Yes our reservations are linked but the main seating has not come through yet. We are a "linked" group of 13 but 4 of us have late seating! I really hope this works out!

QUESTION OF THE DAY CATCH UP!

Which port are you most looking forward to and why?

This is our 5th cruise. On our 4 previous cruises we have been to:

Nassau twice – and neither time did we get off the ship

Cozumel twice – we vacation here “often” so the last time we only got off the ship for about an hour (mainly to pick up cigarettes and then got back on)

Key West once – we were scheduled to go to Grand Cayman but they had to switch us to here due to docking /weather issues – and we enjoyed it

Castaway Cay 6 times! - we have twice taken “double-dip” cruises because this seems like the heart of a Disney Cruise to us! We can’t wait to see all of the changes when we get there this time!

We won’t wear a “special shirt” but we do wear similar shirts. We (and by ‘we’ I mean me the planner) like to take full advantage of the professional photographers and I always feel pictures look nicer when everyone matches

Yahoo! Just got an email back from our U.S. Senator, Mark Warner, that we will get four free tickets from NASA to visit the Kennedy Space Center the day before our cruise. One of the twins dressed up as an astronaut last year for Halloween (the other was a princess) so she will be very pleased to see all the space stuff. Maybe I'll have to pack that costume in a bag too so that she can wear it again while we visit the place!

We've never done the T-shirts before but I think maybe we will this time. We have had a history of BAD embarkation photos so maybe that will help turn thimgs aound. LOL.

My printer is a few years old (like 5 or 6) now though and is terrible. I need a new one if I am going to be making my own shirts. Ahem.

Judy- those shirts look great!!!! I love the "girl" style shirts, that's one of the reasons I have never gotten into the whole T shirt thing in the past, I don't like how big regular T shirts fit. But I may try that they look awesome!

Beth, that is the Embarkation Day Photo taken just before you get on the ship (after you walk through the Mickey Ears). Shutters puts a nice border around it. But I purchased the CD which doesn't include the borders.

In case anyone cares - there is a CAT 3 stateroom that became available yesterday
I can't afford that at this time - so - here is the info from our TA . . .
(I guess I should mention that we are currently in a CAT 4)

A category 3 opened up. The cabin is 8600 which is a wheelchair accessible room
which means there is no tub just a shower and the balcony has a 4ft solid wall it is also larger.
To upgrade to this cabin would be $5340 more

As much as I would love a 3, I'm perfectly happy with my 6 GTY. I just hope we end up with a clear plexiglass verandah.

I can't afford that at this time - so - here is the info from our TA . . .
(I guess I should mention that we are currently in a CAT 4)

Would love, love, love this (currently we're cat. 5 wheelchair accessible room) but the price tag is more than I'm willing to spend. I can see why this is one offer that you put back on the rack for another shopper.
