Hi all, I just wanted to introduce myself! My husband lurks on disboards and told me about this thread.

This will be our first cruise! We go to WDW every year but never a cruise.

We live in northern Virginia, I am Amy and my husband is Jason. We have 3 kids,(ages at trip time) Mallory (7), Tabitha (5), and Quinn will turn 2 (weird to say since he isn't even 1 yet!) during the trip on November 2.

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! We have a little girl (Sarah) who will be 6 in February so she'll fit right in with Mallory and Tabitha. The excitement is already too much to take and we still have a year to go.

We are from central NJ and you will find many more from NJ because it's Jersey Week (Teacher's Convention) the week of the cruise, but that's okay because we New Jerseyans as a whole are pretty good folks.

The thread has been pretty busy and I expect it to only get more so as we get closer.

Well, I still have one pack to unpack after this years cruise. I can not believe it has been almost two weeks now. This girls have fall break the 19th and 20th this month. This school year seems to be going by so fast. I hope the time for next halloween gets here just as fast.

Welcome Amy and Family! This is our first cruise too! Newbies have been made to feel very welcome! We are from Virginia too! (Shenandoah Valley - between Staunton and Harrisonburg!) We are incredibly excited - and I'm sure you guys are too! Look forward to getting to know you here.

We are from Brandon, FL which is near Tampa. My favorite characters are Alice, Minnie, Sally, and Jack. DH likes Mickey (especially Sorceror Apprentice), Grumpy, and Goofy.

You guys were on the 9/26 right? We were originally booked on that cruise, but had to change it when my cousin decided to do the wedding thing on the Oasis which never came to be. (LOL...I guess...we can laugh at it now )
It has changed several times...but it isn't going to change again!! So did you have a great time?

Hope you are all doing good out there. Brendan turns 10 tomorrow, I can't believe he is that OLD already! He is sick too , which stinks since we are heading over to WDW this weekend. Never fails. Usually I am the one sick on vacation, I just got over a nasty sinus infection so I thought we'd be in the clear this time...heh...

That should give everyone enough time. We are a large sailing group, so I am anticipating a large number of participants for our FE, I'll post a sign up thread soon!

I think that sounds great! Anyone who books after the deadline can be "optional". We have had some last minute cruisers on my other cruises- we were some of them one time. I think 2 months out is perfect!

Funny thing: I am a Systems Analyst, certified computer and network technician, software developer, and have been coding web applications for 15 years, but FaceBook is very confusing to me. It is the least intuitive web site I have ever tried, and often don't use.

Okay, off my soapbox. The good news it is a great way to get to meet everyone.

Hi...schimj here, DH of TifffanyD. We're looking forward to this cruise already...even though we have one coming up in 3 weeks We'll also be bringing my parents along on this cruise. It'll be their first sailing with DCL, but they have been on a non-DCL cruise before. They're not that experienced in Disney stuff...but we're working on that. We recently took them on their first WDW trip (over Labor Day Weekend), and they really enjoyed it.

Thanks! I have no idea where any of those places are tho - we have only been here a year. And most of our exploring has been more in the central FL region
