Maybe you guys can start a CABANANA SWAP on the thread.
IF they are too costly.

Most people probablly wouldnt want to stay in it all dayany way...RIGHT:confused3

The price lists come out in a couple days...with the NEWcruises Ship prices:confused3

More than a swap I was thinking about a share. I doubt everyone would be in it the whole day. The only issue might be if you wanted to eat in the Cabana, As long as that could be worked out I think some folks could share it for the day. I will wait to see the cost before I even thing about using one. I spend most of my time in the water visiting with the fish anyhow. Lois

That is a great idea...

Dh and i probably wouldnt mind gettin gout of the sun for a few and not having to go back to0 the ship to do it.

I think CABANANA SHARE could be the way to go!!!!!!!!:cool1:

Below is from the AllEars.net web site. It tells you about the cabanas. I think that they sound so cool. If it's allowed, I'm sure that there will be alot of sharing going on. Alot of co-cabanas you might say. :thumbsup2

SAD DAY here in the Dizzi Household......

Just got back from the Doctors andhave been told definitley my DD has scoliosis......

She will have to wear a beak bracefor at least a year and a half.

THANK GOD!!!! She is allowed to take it off for one hour a day to do cheer i think we would have had some HORRIBLE ISSUES if i had to take her out of cheer.

SO now does anyone know if she can ride all the rides with a back brace on??
We are going to Universal and MNSSHP soon....

I will ask out on the main boards too but if youguys have any info i would appreciate it!

I work with folks who have various physical challenges, Scoliosis being among them. Some have back braces. For what it’s worth, I’ve never seen one that I think would interfere with riding anything at Disney that I know of.

Linda,

Thanks

She goes to get fitted i guess is the word on Wednesday. And i dont know how long it is to make it???

But she is ery con cerned about how well she will sleep in it.

I was so shocked at how her xray looked and how crooked her little spine was.

On a better note...........Anyone look at the new info today about the cruises.
I guess my Dh will be happy he has wanted an ALASKAN CRUISe for sometime.
I dont think i will like it but......How can one not like a DISNEY CRUISE,so i guess we will both be happy!!:thumbsup2

Oh no, I am sorry to hear about that! I know that will be rough for her! :sad2: On a good note though I agree with Linda...I would think she can do anything at WDW, after all it is not an injury the brace is for, it is more for shaping and correction so I would not think any short rides at Disney would interfere with the long-term prognosis..... but of course I know the Dr. will be able to answer that better than me! :rotfl2: I haven't been on the theme park boards, do the DIS Dr's agreee? ;):rotfl:

are coming out tomorrow. I'm so excited! I can't wait to see when the repositioning cruise will be.

I thought everybody here would be all excited about this. Between the announcements and the new Castaway Club tiering I am suprised there has not been more converation about this here. FWIW, I am underwhelmed with the Alaska announcement. Not really our cup of tea, at least for now. We weren't planning on heading to the west coast until '13 so maybe by then they will manage Hawaii...that is the one must do for us in the next 10 years or so and I would love to do that on DCL...alas...not yet.

We were really hoping for more information on the Dream. Itineraries (or at least examples....I hear possibilities of 7 night Caribbean cruises) and prices would have been nice. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Tomorrow is the day I make my ADR's for my WDW trip in December!!!! Hope I get most of what I want. Lois

Lois, how did it go?

Have a great weekend, everyone! :goodvibes

I got everything I wanted for our ADR pretty much when I wanted. My first two day the ressies are later than I wanted but I think it will be OK. I am so excited I am now less than 90 days out. Disney here I come again!!!! Lois

I do not know about the rest of you, but I am totally excited about Disney in Alaska:goodvibes:goodvibes. Vikki and I were talking about going back next year but now we might go in 2011. With the new repeat cruisers benefits, our friends can book before the 28th, so we might be on the phone with her so both of us can get on. I wonder, will disney still do the fireworks show:confused3

Well off to the NY Renaissance fest with other disney fans. We found out it is Pirate weekend pirate:

Les

Lois,
Congrats on getting the ADRs you wanted. That is always one of my favorite parts of Disney planning. What are some of you favorite dinning spots?

DH is over the moon about the Alaskan cruises. 2011 will mark our 10th anniversary and it looks like I may be celebrating it on a glacier. I don’t know that I like the symbolism of that one!:lmao:

Les,
Have fun at Ren Fest.-Hazza

Linda

I think we will save as many points as we can and see what comes up with the new ships.

I think if we really want to do an alaskan cruise a different ship might be better and use our points for something else.

We are looking at a cruise for this coming weekend just leave friday back monday.

We wantd to do soemthing fun for DD before she gets her brace on and there is a cruise we are watching on vacations to go, hopefully it goes down a littel more...right now it is $159 leaves from Miami.

There was one last weekend for $119 hoping it goes down to that.

I do not know about the rest of you, but I am totally excited about Disney in Alaska:goodvibes:goodvibes.

We were hoping for Hawaii, Alaska would be our second choice but not a roundtrip. We always wanted to do a southbound Alaskan itinerary that started with a train ride through Denali National Park so I guess we'll wait to see if DCL offers point-to-point in 2012.

The good news is we just worked out the details to meet some friends from San Fran who are also DVC Members. The current plan is to stay at BCV the week prior to the cruise and then a week with you guys.

For 2011 we are focusing on the Dream, probably a 5 day, but we are hoping she'll do 7 days too. I have no information that says she will, just hoping since the Magic and the Wonder will be gone during the Summer months which is when we usually cruise.

Linda

We really enjoy Mama Melrose at Hollywood Studios, Coral Reef, Tappen Edo and others at Epcot, Liberty Tree Tavern at the Magic Kingdom, and Yak n Yeti at Animal Kingdom.

This year we are trying for the 1st time 50's prime time, LeCelliers and Tonys Town Square. I believe we made good choices. Now I just need Ride Max to have everything in place to make our plans. That will not be until 11/1/09. The reality is you don't want to make them too soon as Disney likes to make changes right up to the last miniute. Lois

Le Cellier was far and away the best meal I've ever had at Disney!

We were luckly to get our 5:40 PM ressies. I pushed it out to the last day we planned to be at Epcot due to the fact that many DISERs on the December thread had been unable to get anything there. I have heard from many that it was a great place. Free dinning has made it more difficukt for everyone to get ressies.

We had free dining last November and I was willing to work my entire trip around going there. I had heard such good things about it. We were able to get it for our first full day in WDW, so I was pleased! Enjoy!

.....all this talk about food - WOW! Now I AM HUNGRY :lmao:.

Heading off to my ABD trip - cya in about 2 weeks!

P.S.
Gonna 'attempt' to do "Live reports" via my below listed trip report.
