Oct 30 2010 7 Night Western (PART 2)

:bday: Today is my DH's Birthday as well! I'm making him a Christmas Dinner for his Birthday Dinner!! Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, gravy, and oh yes, Birthday Cake! It's POURING Cats and Dogs out today, off and on all Morning, but it seems quite festive in the house today!
I'm SOooo tired too, had a Family reunion last night with my moms side of the family for her cousins 50th Wedding Anniversary. Most everyone was from out of town. 2nd and 3rd Cousins that I haven't seen in over 20 years!!! DH didn't go, he stayed home with our younger kids. One guy last night, a friend of someone in the family, kept asking me to dance. That was fine, I enjoy dancing, though don't have the opportunity to do it much. Later in the evening, he was disappointed to discover I was married. DAH!!!! Isnt' the ring on my finger a clue????? (He had been asking relatives all about me, instead of me). I had a blast anyway. Our famiy should do this more often!! So wish DH could have come with me though, then the evening would have been perfect!

Morgansmom, I hope your day is as perfect as it can get for you, and I'm sending you some Pixie Dust:wizard: to help you get the ressies you hope to get! party:

YUM...I want to be at your dinner table tonight. Right now I'm making turkey tacos for my brood!

Ugh, I have another yucky nights sleep, up at 5am again to book Palo for parents in law who I don't think would cope with the online booking system very well (it's either that, or get frantic telephone calls from them when they lose their way!) I don't mind really, just hope I can get back to sleep, Monday is my day off!

Good luck everyone, hope we all get what we want :wizard::wizard:

Let's all post after we book to see what happened. I loved watching what went on at 90 days out (or whatever that special date was, I forget). And another shout out to Jeff for posting his "how do you do it" tutorial...I plan to have it right next to me at midnight!.:surfweb::surfweb:

OK. This is our first ever cruise. We are a family of four. We have received our room assignment and are gathering information about what to expect and what to take on our adventure.

What is FE? What is TOT? The laynards that I see with this thread are they specific to this board and these people? Do you purchase them here or on the boat? Door decorations?

Help a newbie out. I have read through a lot of the thread. You folks are really smart and have it together.

Can you catch a girl up?

Hi there :wave2:

Great to have you along. Hopefully you have your questions answered, but just to add, you can decorate your door if you choose - they are magnetic so lots of people make up their own. There are some very kind and helpful people down on the Creative DISigns thread who can help you out.

The first page of this thread is a mine of information if you haven't seen it already, it explains things people have planned and how to join in if you want to!

Just yell if you have any more questions, and:welcome:

:welcome: aboard!! Glad to have you sailing with us! :)

As far as the ToT, if you are interested in participating, let me or lsjones or podsnel know. I know you don't have enough posts to pm yet (you need 10).
It will be a scavenger hunt style event where you start at one spot and get clues (and candy of course) at each subsequent stop. Just let us know how many children and their ages and you will be good to go.

We decided to throw our own ToT since the past few years DCL has run their offcial Tot on port days during port hours. We expect the same for this cruise, so we decided to do our own so that way our kids don't miss out (or heck, get double! :thumbsup2)

As far as lanyards go, yes the time to sign up has officially passed. If you would like to purchase them, let me know and I can put you on a "waiting list" of sorts- that way if someone drops out and/or I have extra you can then buy those. If I can accommodate you, I certainly will! :) They cost $3/apiece. If you think you might be interested and are prepared to pay anytime between now and Sun. Sept 5 (I accept Paypal), just post to let me know and I'll see what I can do. :thumbsup2

Glad to have you aboard!

Hopefully we will all be posting good news! And hopefully the system holds out tonight :wizard:

Just to let you know, I have pm'd you the info for the lanyards, and sent a payment which you will hopefully receive soon :)

Hi all -

I posted a while back to officially join, but haven't been keeping up as I should; I hope to now start some serious planning.

I would like to join the Fish Extender group and the Trick or Treating. What information do you need to make it official?

Thanks!

There is a lot to catch up on, but your focus should be on booking excursions, Palo, Spa, and Flounder's Nursery if applicable. First timer's can book at the 75 day mark which starts at midnight tonight on the east coast so check out the Disney Cruise Line site to see what is available.

My online booking tutorial will hopefully help with the process. Booking is a first come, first serve process so get up-to-speed this evening so you don't get left behind.

Hi,

Let nenner1, lsjones or podsnel know if you want to do the TOT. Also let lsjones know if you want to be a part of the FE group. There still might be space to do the Captain Marvin's excursion in GC, so tjbaggott is the one to ask about that. The other private excursion that lots of Dissers are doing is to Nachi Cocom in Cozumel, but unfortunately that one is all maxed out. Do know that you can book DCL excursions tonight so get on at midnight and book away!

Hi there! :)

As far as the ToT goes, just post here the number of kids participating and their ages, and we'll mark you down! (since you need 10 posts to PM).

We don't really have an age limit for the kids (well...under 18...LOL) but the activities and non-candy prizes will be mostly geared towards the under-10 set. Since it is right before we arrive in port the kids can dress up, or not. Either way is fine. :)

Leslie (lsjones) is in charge of the FE. She will need your stateroom, number of participants and ages. :goodvibes

Great - thank you guys so much!

For both the TOT and FE, I will have two participants: DD(8) and DS(6). We are still in GTY status so I don't have my stateroom yet.

Do we need to bring candy for the TOT??

Yep,

I am staying up to book Palo's and excursions.... Took Tomorrow off from work... Wish me luck!!!!:cheer2:

Good luck to everyone trying for Palo reservations tonight!

And a very Happy Birthday to all who are/were celebrating this weekend!!

Is anyone having trouble getting in? It still says I can't book my DSister's until the 16th.....I know my clock isn't fast. :confused3

Sorry, access to My Cruise Plans is not currently open for this reservation. Access is available 120 days prior to embarkation for Platinum Castaway Club members and Concierge Guests, 105 days prior for Gold Castaway Club members, 90 days prior for Silver Castaway Club members and 75 days prior for all other Guests. Also, please note that access to My Cruise Plans closes 3 days before your cruise departure date. :confused3

Keep trying. That happened to me on our booking day. It was a few minutes after midnight and it was still saying it wasn't August 1st yet. Another couple of tries and I was in. I just went on to see if I could change the date of my Palo brunch, but there is NOTHING available for brunch. Let me know if any availability was showing for any of you tonight.

There's nothing, a few dinners on the first & last nights.
