Oct 30 2010 7 Night Western (PART 2)

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to remind everyone that signups for Lanyards are officially closed! We had a wonderful participation, and I look forward to seeing all of you onboard wearing them!!!
PM's with amount due and payment info and all that jazz will probably start going out this afternoon! :thumbsup2

And for those of you following along, part 3 of my RCCL cruise video is now up.
Watch it HERE! :goodvibes

Thanks everyone. I'll probably have a nightmare tonight about that! The good news is, two doors down from us, the people there put a Bathroom sink at their curb with a sign on it saying "NEW, and FREE". It was white, and we've been wanting to redo our bathrooms. I went and knocked on their door and ended up chatting with both couples there for a bit. We've been in this house for almost 4 years and I've never met this couple before. Well now we know each other and her DH mentioned the pile of branches on our front lawn. So I told them about DH's Adventure. Then the guy there, went into his garage and came out with this POLE, that is for trimming branches. It's got a clipper at the end, and it extends up to the 2nd story of a home. So he went over to my house and trimmed up the rest of the branches brushing up against the side of the house. WOW, How awesome was that? I thanked them profusely,
And now I've got a brand new sink! (It belonged to her dad who bought it a few months ago, but wouldn't fit on their vanity, and it was too much work for him to cut a bigger hole and find a doohicky to extend the water pipes below to reach the new facet space. Instead of taking it back to the store, he gave it to his daughter and told her to find a home for it). So now when Dh's hand is better, we can start renovating our main floor powder room! :)
Something good always comes out of something bad :) How awesome is that!!

Judy, that is so wonderful to find good people still willing to help out. Love it! Glad you DH is ok and make sure he is not anywhere near the roof in October!!

I just checked my reservation on the DCL site and discovered that our 5GTY status is no longer. Our room assignment is #7054.:yay::yay::yay::yay:

I just had to share because it's a Disney themed production....The Missoula Children's Theater is in town & DD (6) was cast as a Monkey. She's very excited :cloud9: & we have a busy week of rehearsals before the big show on Saturday. DD (9) was very happy she wasn't cast. :confused3 She's says now she gets to watch the show.

That sounds so cute!! Your poor dd9, but what a great attitude she has about it. Good luck with all of the rehearsals :goodvibes

I'm pleased! Two flights up for food and two flights down for Kids Club. Hmmm.... I wonder if I triggered something yesterday when I got into my reservation and finally filled out the information on our flights. I hope you find out soon too! :)

OMG! After I read your post, I went into our reservation and it still said Cat. 6 GTY. I then filled out our flight information and our other cruise docs and then I went back to the reservation page. And Wham!, a room had been assigned! :woohoo:

Stateroom 6560!!!!! :cool1:

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm not sure if it worked or if it was just an amazing coincidence, but I'm going to give you credit anyway.

I checked too! All my online documents have been filled out, BUT we are not flying so I didn't do the flight info. Can I put in a dummy flight info?

I don't know. It says the Flight Info is actually an optional form to fill out. And the form can be edited at any time, so its not set in stone.

Wondering if Kristieuk had filled out her forms before getting her Cat. 6 GTY assignment a few weeks ago.....if so, we all may be on to something!

I just checked and we are still GTY 11. I went ahead and filled out all our documents but still no room assignment!

Well now, I'm not sure - I know some of the online check-in information only opened up at our 90 day mark, but I am pretty sure the flight information could be completed before that time. I am wracking my brain to think when I filled the flight info in, I am sure it was a while back and before the 90 days. They have been booked since last year, so I would have filled it in as soon as I noticed it was required..We got our GTY assignment in about May, it could well have been the trigger. I wish I had paid more attention to whether there was any link now!

It's an interesting thought - good luck everyone still awaiting assignments :wizard:

Why don't you give them a call . . .

How is Martyn doing?

I think I can wait a little longer. I'll mention it to my TA. I would love to know which room though, hmmmm.

As for the DH? As of yesterday his back and leg were really hurting (muscles), which is understandable, after a fall like that. He stayed home from work yesterday, and is home again today. He still has not seen a doctor, errrgghhhh!

On another note, I took my van into the mechanic yesterday for two minor fixes, and two estimates. The digital dashboard light doesn't work, so we can't read the mileage or oil level, so a replacement light or fuse is needed. The reset button for that digital dashboard is broken, so that needs to be fixed. The lift gate hydraulic system broke while in Florida last fall, and I know THAT will be costly to fix so I've finally got it there to get an estimate on that (we can still use it, we just have to hold that heavy lift gate open ourselves). The BIG worry though is the creaking noise that comes from the whole front end, especially when breaking. It seems to have to do with the suspension and DH thinks it's the ball joints or something like that. And he seems to think that is around $800.00 to fix, and to the 2 minor things, we could well be looking at a $1000.00 job right now. :scared1: That could dampen my spending moula for this trip, ....... But if it's an issue with the suspension, thats kind of a necessity to get fixed, especially since we are driving to FL for this trip. Maybe, we'll rent a vehicle??????
