We're tentatively planning for October 15-24. We actually would rather have a discount than free dining, because we think skipping the dining plan might be our best option.
I think you have less occupancy in early september as most kids are back in school and parents don't want to pull them. Also, early september is still very hot/humid.

Prior Poster: What is the "3 for 4"?
We are booked in two rooms at ASMu with the Pin discount, but if free QSDP comes out I think we would be ahead to book that and go back to rack rate on the room. With the prices of food on property, would be nice not to have to think about the prices each time!
Any opinions on the best week to go after Columbus Day and before Thanksgiving week ?
Going 10/7-10/11/2010... Booked Club Level at Yacht Club. No discounts codes or anything. Going anyway even without a code and can't wait. My question is: I know there is a discount out there now for 20/30/40 off, but I think there are black out dates in there which is why I didn't bother to ask if I could get that. Does anyone know if I call Disney and ask if I am eligible for the %off If they would apply it. Also IF Disney comes out with FD for Disney Visa would I be able to apply that to my ressie even if I didn't use the Disney Visa for my deposit??? I usually stay DVC (i own at AKL), but decided I wanted to stay at Yacht Club Club level because it's in the Epcot area for F&W. Any help anyone can give would be appreciated!
FD or room discount I can't wait to go even if I get no discounts!!!
Thanks in advance Disney Lovers!!!
Hi - Yacht Club Club Level sounds fantastic!! You're right about the blackout dates for the 20/30/40 pin covering Columbus Day weekend. We're going (no pin for us either) from the 9th through the 15th, so I was hoping for a pin to defray some of the cost. The pin is not good on the 8th, 9th, or 10th. One CM I spoke to said that Disney does not always exclude that weekend in their promotions, however, and he said that he wouldn't be surprised if future public discounts include that weekend.
I don't have a Disney Visa (I'm thinking about getting one, though!) so I can't asnwer your question about free dining and the Disney Visa. I would think that you would be eligible as a card holder, though, regardless of how you booked your trip.
October can't come soon enough!![]()
