Joining this waiting room! I booked a quickie trip during free dining 9/29-10/1, but we have our big Christmas trip planned for Dec 16th-22. We are staying the first night at CR with the 40% pin, but that's the last night it is valid, so we are really looking for FD to be extended through the 17th so we can score it for our 5 nights at CBR! I know it was extended till then last year, but since the pin codes are only good till the 16th, it wouldn't surprise me if FD (if offered) is only good till then as well... but here's hoping for some Disney magic!

Joining on the thread...here's hoping they extend the FD! I'll be there Oct. 9-16 for my brother's wedding and could really use the discount. Has anyone heard any rumors about it happening? I know it did last year, just wondering what the likelihood of it happening is...

It's totally random. Disney jsut sends them out both through mail and email, but you have to be sure to be signed up on thre site to better the chances.

Totally off topic question, but how do you figure your 180 days? I'm not sure if we will go or not, but If we do, I want to try and get CRT for DD's b-day, so I may call on the 180 day mark and try and get it. If we don't go, I'll cancel. But I can never figure out how to do the 180 figure easily.

I'm joining in too! Going Oct 17-22. Even selling my UT/Ala tickets because I probably won't have enough energy to go to the game on the 23rd! But it's my fall break, I turn 50 at the end of October and I want to hug Mickey's neck!

My DH knew I was serious about this visit when I told him I didn't care who was playing UT that weekend, I was going to WDW!

I am not sure how FD would work in my specific case---maybe someone can shed some light. I am booked in the AllStar Music-two rooms (4 adults, one child). We are traveling in Nov. and took advantage of the 20% discount with a PIN (thx to this board!) for room only and we were planning on buying theme park pass for 5 days when we arrived. If FD comes out, would I have to go back to the rack rate for the room AND pre=purchase the passes? Is that all? I know I have to run the numbers, but ballpark what would you say the value of the quick service plan is worth??

You might have a FD bounceback from your "quickie" trip that u can use .

Yes, rack rate, and prepurchase tickets. It probably will be a better deal though

Hope you don't mind another body in the waiting room. We're going December 12-18 and I would appreciate an AP discount, any kind of discount. Lack of a discount probably won't deter us from going but it would be nice!

Another QS Plan Question: Can the two included meals on the QS Dining Plan be lunch AND dinner, or must one of the two meals be breakfast? (We are traveling with folks who have a Family Suite, and we were planning on using the kitchenette in the FS for all to have a quick breakfast.

I'm not for sure what you are asking, but the QS meals can be used for any meal of the day, breakfast lunch or dinner.
Each person has an alloted amount, depending on how many nights you stay. All in one room will have those credits put on the KTW card. So if 3 of you are in one room, then everyones credits are on each of your crads. Each time you use a credit, it is deducted from the total the room has. You can use them all in one day, or over the length of stay. They expire at midnight on your check out day.

I'm keeping an eye out for FREE DINING as well. My check-in window is anytime between Oct. 22 - Nov. 6. If they don't release the FD deal, we'll definitely skip WDW this year.

If you're checking in on 10/2, don't you already qualify for the current (for Disney Visa and starting tomorrow for GP) free dining promotion? If you check in that day, which is the last day of the deal, you get FD for your entire stay.

But yes, you will have to book a package to get the deal...room and park tickets (current deal is a minimum of 2 day park tickets).

Soooooo I may be joining in with you all here...I'm calling tomorrow at 7am to book for 9/25-10/4, however DH decided LAST NIGHT to tell me he'd rather go in Dec. if they extend the FD offer. So we're booking now for a "just in case" and will switch it to probably 12/4-12/13 (or thereabouts) if FD does get extended.

I'm slightly annoyed, as I've already made our ADR's and got into EVERY location we wanted. But either way, we're going to Disney World!
