Oct 3 - Dec 30 FD & Code Watch (Only)

Patiently (well not really!!) waiting for another code or public discount. I received the Monster PIN and the 20/30/40, but when I called they did not have availability for my dates/resort. The 40% off is a better deal for us than the FD. Here's to hoping!!

I just got off the phone with Disney Reservations. I was asking about any pin codes that would be attached to my name. I had one that was for Free Dinning Dates Oct 3-Nov. 23. He tried to apply it to my reservation and had to put me on hold to talk to someone. He could not get the code to come up. The Pin is not good until 7/13. He also said that is was not good for any of the value resorts. He said to call back on 7/13 to have it applied to my ressie. I'm not sure if I will use it though I was just looking for a room discount for 10/28-31. Maybe this means free dinning is coming for those that want it!

I really hope this is true...and that I get this pin!!! I'm REALLY hoping for Free Dining in November!

Actually, this has got me a bit worried, since we are booked 11/30 -12/8. Will the free dining only be good until 11/23???? That would make me want to change my whole plan and come earlier, perhaps! Ugh!!!!

I am really hoping for free dining, but felt that I had to scurry to book SW flights... so I booked everything on 6/15 when the SW flights were added. And I did secure great fares ($79 each way from Hartford to Orlando).... but now I am fighting the temptation to second-guess my plans! I guess we will likely find out in another 2-3 weeks (after the Monster code expires on 7/10).

Just think of all the character-training we are getting in patience and long-suffering. Sigh....

Brenda, as far as character building goes I do believe that have quite enough 'character'.

I go with the flow and if it is meant to be it is. I often get what I want and when I do not it is usually for the best and makes me appreciate it when I get what I want a whole lot more.

That being said, I hope we all get exactly what we want and not what we deserve.

I just got the 40% off pin in my e-mail just minutes ago and it's not valid the week in October we want to go!! Boo....

Actually it saves us about $200 off if we'd rather be at Animal Kingdom Lodge instead of Wilderness Lodge, I guess the first few days of our vacation is covered under the pin. Hmm.....

Since you have a room only ressie now you will have to rebook a package deal with tickets included in order to get free dining if they offer it. That means canceling your current room & certain resorts do fill up fast when FD is offered. If you are flexible on the resort you stay at then you could wait a little bit. I always call as soon as I find out.

I've thought about it, but haven't. The reason is b/c I'm unsure about our Disney visa. I don't know if the 6 months 0% starts when a package is booked or when the vacation actually is. I don't know if it would start now or in October I guess I should call and ask that first.

I just noticed that the offer left in our room in May wasn't 20/30/40 it was 35 mod/40 dlx/45 dlx villas!

I personally have tried every trick recommended here on the DIS. I thought I had finally solved the problem a while back when someone told me to save my itineraries, then return and change them around a bit. Nope. Then I saved some itineraries and marked that I was staying at a non Disney hotel. Nope. Then I thought I had solved it when someone said to be sure my info was updated for email notification. Nope. Then I thought it would help if I created a new account with a different email address. Nope. Just double the Disney junk mail.

I remember getting a post card in the mail once a long time ago with the "Kids stay and play for free" deal on it, but that's it. I call Disney every couple of months looking for a PIN code and ...........nothing. My latest call was yesterday. Nothing.

Can I officially give up now?

FD lasted until Thursday of the week prior to Christmas last year (12/17/10). It may be different this year, but don't give up hope yet!

Yes, the free dining rooms are limited and only so many are alotted to each resort.

Thanks for the reply...we will be staying at All Star Music resort with two other families, one of which has a family suite, so changing resorts is not a good option...so will call immediately if FD is announced!! And free quick service dining would save us much more than the pin savings!
