Oct 3, 2009 Wester Carribean

Hello everybody ... and thanks for your welcome, we are very happy with this new adventure is the first cruise and my daughter better than Disney is the best choice we did not stop talking about the cruise, we are of Puerto Rico, my first language is Spanish, but understand the English, the only thing is a mistake to write it, but I read the comments and I have greatly helped to answer some questions in these months .. I'm going to take an English class to improve it, is one of the things I have in the list before the cruise, thanks to everyone again for being part of our dream .. I send you greetings Caribbean and a little sun and lots of heat...:cool1:

Good Morning....just wanted to say HI! Excited for 50's this weekend but then back to 30's next week! YUCK!! I hope everyone is having a good beginning of the week. I am off to take care of the dogs one last day, have lunch at a friends and then home to clean...oh yeah and then there's dance! Oh boy I hate tuesdays...I am excited for tomorrow cause besides volunteering at school , I will be able to focus on the house! Trying to spring clean thru all the stuff and making a HUGE pile in the playroom of stuff to garage sale! I am making money for Disney --I just hate waiting for May cause thats about when I will be able to get rid of all this junk! Well off to start the day! TTYL

Good morning all! Bay Lake Towers?! That place looks nice! They were building it when we were there last year. We were going to try to do the MNSSHP the night before the cruise, that was if we didn't get to Disneyland before cruise time. Since we are leaving for DL in 6 days :cool1: I don't think we will be doing MNSSHP. We did it last year when we were there, and it was tons of fun! We are going to try to do one of the Disney water parks the day we get off the boat and then stay the night near the airport that night and head home Sunday. The kids don't know about that part of the trip though. We've always gone straight to the airport from the ship, so they wont expect any different this time.

Well, I'm off to register Bailey for Kindergarten today! :cool1:  :cool1: OK, she's the third child, so I'm a little excited.

As far as loosing some weight before the cruise, man, I'm giving it an effort. I've been running nearly 3 miles 3 times a week since the beginning of the year. I lost 6 pounds the first few weeks and then gained 4 back, and I've been pretty much at a stand still ever since. It's driving me crazy! Of course, it probably doesn't help that I've eaten every box of girl scout cookies in site! (Terri if I call you to order more, don't sell me any!) But last year I ate just as many, and I wasn't exercising, I just dont get it. :confused3
Today is Ashleys first away game, if they don't get rained out. It is pouring here! I'll let you guys know how it goes, if they have it. Her high school basketball team made it to the state semi-finals, so they are playing in Arco arena tomorrow night (that's where the Sac. Kings play). So she's very excited about going to that.

Well, off for now. I'll check back in later. Hope everyone has a good day. Think warm thoughts!

Andrea

WOW! Sounds like everyone is extremely busy!!! Things are good here as well. :) Got plenty to do to keep me outta trouble. Still gotta decide what we're doing for pirate night, still gotta get a formal dress for me, still gotta get something for the girls to wear, still gotta decide what my FE gift is going to be, and, if that isn't enough, I've got a scrapbooking day to get the pictures ready for, clean the house from top to bottom leaving nothing unturned because of our post-placement visit with our adoption agency, get ready for a Tastefully Simply/Pampered Chef party at my place, and, again, if that isn't enough, next Wednesday my DH and I are speaking at a Missionettes group at our church (they are like Girls Scouts only through the church) about our experiences in Vietnam which involves bringing Vietnamese food, and the items we bought in Vietnam plus Vietnamese books and music and, if I can twist my hubby's arm, some of our video footage and pictures. :) Busy busy busy! :) Sooo, I'll be keeping outta trouble for the next two weeks and then some. :)

As for the Jonas Bros 3D movie, my husband braved it with our DD. She was just as quiet but my DH said it was like a concert in the movie theater. Very funny. It was one of the many things they did on daddy/daughter date day.

Well, I'm off to go back to work. Lunchtime is over. Talk atcha all later! Kristi

Ok is it cruise time yet? I really need warm weather.... We got 10 inches of snow overnight and the roads are a mess.... The only good thing was watching my dogs play in the snow this morning. They were way tooo cute... Ok so enough snow and cold weather... time for: warm weather, good friends, and disney boat...plzzzzzzz

Hey what part of the shore are you at? I am in philly we got 9.5 inches. Not too bad though, from inside anyway !!

EXCITED!! We booked our pre-cruise room at Bay Lake Towers yesterday since our 7 month window opened up to reserve on DVC points!

Is anyone else visiting WDW before the cruise? We are planning to be there from Wednesday, 9/30 til the cruise...with a special trip to the MNSSHP (hopefully) the night before.

:cheer2:

We will be but just Thursday and Friday the POFQ  :cool1:

we haven't done the Jonas Bros concert movie but we did the Hannah Montana one and our girls sat half way and the concert parts they were up dancing.....Hmmm must be the competition dancers in them...they dance every moment they get! Well House semi-clean...straightened anyhow ,,,ok ok only 4 rooms.....but it's a start! I have my SIL and fam coming friday so it will get torn apart with us dragging out the suitcases and seeing how many days and nights of clothing we have. I have been just putting the stuff in luggage instead of totes cause I am running outta space, plus it lets me know I have to much if I fill the alotted pieces for the cruise.....Ok well off to get Sydney. Have a good day

OMG! I just called now and got Bay Lake Towers also... Im so EXCITED. We got a studio room with a bay lake view for the night before the cruise, we wanted a MK view but there were none available so I got us waitlisted for the MK view. Either view is good with us! We are driving down so we wont be getting in till friday morning, and Im still thinking about doing the MNSSHP that night also, Im not sure.

I was just on the cruisecritic page and invited some cruisers over, let's hope they join us. There's no activity over there. They must think the ship is going to be empty and quiet. :rotfl:

Congrats! I was so surprised to get a reservation there (we have Bay Lake view too)! I figured that i might as well take advantage now, because it seems like that resort would going to be harder to get reservations at in the future.

It sounds like a couple of us might be at MNSSHP, maybe we can meet up for a ride or the fireworks! :yay:

Good morning all! OK, I just thought I would point out two milestones we've reached....No. 1, we now have 100 pages of our thread :cool1: , and No. 2, we now have LESS than 7 months until our cruise!
Well, that is all. Oh, and Ashleys team won their game last night 0-2 in a torrential downpour, so to those of you that live outside of CA and get rain more than 2 months out of the year that would be a moderate rain, but to us it was hurricane weather. There was even thunder....:scared1: We almost NEVER get thunder.
Anyway, that is all.
PS Laura I LOVE the picture of Tommy in the grass skirt and coconut shells (the rest of you are just going to have to use your imaginations ;) )

That sounds like a really good idea.. Im game for anything.. How are you guys getting from BLT to the cruise terminal? (just wondering)

wooo hoooo in the 6 months range!!!!

Don't you just love your brother. He's a comedian. You all just wait. I'm sure that you will see. Just look at his charater in the signature. He picked it himself.

Good Eveing Everyone;) Today was busy. DH is off thurs thru Sun....hmm I will be shipping him back sonner! He drives me crazy when he is home and it's not beautiful outside so he can golf! Maybe we can clean our yard up a bit from having the trees taken down this winter! Well nothing much to say and I can't chat with Andrea and type this so I will check back tomorrow. Bed time is appproaching soon! Goodnight all

I think that we are going to get a towncar. Let me know if you would like to share tranportation to the port. We would be totally up for that.

My problem that I haven't figured out is getting back to WDW...I want to rent a car, but am not quite sure how the one-way back rentals work. Does anyone have any insight?

Good Morning!!
Are you wanting to keep the rental until you return to the airport, or just until you get to WDW? I know if you are going to return it to the airport then you just do it like a regular one way rental (pick up at the port then return at the airport) that's what we do everytime. But, if you want to return it at WDW then you have to find a company that has an office at the port and near WDW, and we've never done that before so I can't help you there. :confused3 We are using Budget and they don't charge a one way fee, but like I said, we are returning ours to the airport.

Happy Friday all. I'm glad it's Friday - it's been a tough week at work.

Tonight we are taking 8 of the Girl Scouts to HS Musical on Ice, they are so excited. The 3 moms that are going are looking forward to it too. Plus we just found out they have added a post show 20 minute concert of Corbin Bleu. The girls don't know and they are going to be so surprised and excited.:dance3:

Have you all started or finished your FE gifts? I am trying to think of something creative but it would have to be fairly simple as I am not very crafty. My sister and friend that are cruising with us are both the crafty type. Next month when I go up to Oregon we are going to put our heads together and try to come up with some ideas. (I wonder if we should do that a day other than the day we go wine tasting)

Have a good weekend and good luck to Ashely tomorrow at her soccer games!

Terri
