Ok I was fadidaling(sp) with my graphics and made this sign. I like our logo but couldn't figure out where to put our names so I designed this one. If everyone likes the original one that is A-ok with me. Just was playin around and thought I would give everyone another option!! If you all want me to stop playing around, just say Michelle knock it off. :scared1: I really hope that after the holidays our thread perks up. I don't wanna be one of those threads that are lame. I want to be the one people miss after the cruise!! So is anyone interesting out there today...Wake up Dreamers!!!! :yay:

Magic.jpg

Kristi is excluded from this wake up as awesome things are happening for her!!!

Anywho please let me know what everyone thinks of my graphics!
Thanks

1. Which Disney character would describe your personality and why?
Hmmm, DW keeps buying me grumpy T shirts or telling me to buy them. I have no comment

2. If you have been on the Magic, favorite thing to do?
I like the rain forest room, but probably actually the gym, best view on the ship. Sometimes I even exercise

3. Favorite thing to do at Disney?
Dont really like the theme parks, DW usually goes without me, probably bodysurfing the wave at Typhoon Lagoon

4. Are you dressing in pirate gear for Pirate Night?
Yep

5. What are you most looking forward to on this cruise?
New places to see

6. What is a tip you have learned you would like to share?
Dont go to topsiders to eat after checking in, the buffet downstairs is better and less frantic.

7. What dinner seating do you have?
Late

8. What excursions look good to you?
Not thought about that, probably something with the Aztec ruins, Dw will seek out dolphins I expect

9. Drinker? :drinking1
Yes

I have a question, dont want to get off at the end of this cruise, made that mistake twice, not doing it again, so good places to hide please, I think lifeboats too obvious, security bound to check those

Corinna--- I totally agree about going to Parrott when you board. Actually I have never done topsiders. I only topside for breakfast and half at Lum's. I love the eggs benedict too!!! What is the rainforest room.? I am assuming something in the spa??? I don't ever make it there...with kids every cent is spent doing things together, DH and my time will come when they are older

Yes, the Rainforest Room is an area of the spa. They have 4 heated tile loungers in there facing a fountain which is so relaxing plus two steam rooms and a mild sauna and some "experience" showers (rainfall and fog). I loved the sauna and the loungers. DH quite enjoyed the steam rooms. I think we were in there every day on both cruises.

Hi all! Kristi here. Just dropping by quickly to update you on the Foster's Adoption Saga. We had our travel meeting this afternoon and the plans have changed drastically. We are leaving this Sunday, December 14th for Vietnam! Aaaaccckkkkkk!!!!!!!!!! Our minds are spinning right now and there are LOTS of things needing to be done. I will probably touch base with you all once or twice before we go (cause it'll be one constant in my life that will calm me - I think). :lmao: Soooo, please keep us in your prayers for safe travel, health, etc. and so forth. We return to Pennsylvania on December 29th (late in the evening). I will check in shortly thereafter! Take care all! Kristi PS: When I get back to "normal" I'll do that cute question thingie that's been going around recently. :)

Hey everyone:) Just checking in. Kristi that is great news that you get to get over to Vietnam and bring Katelin home that much sooner. Cant wait to see the pictures when you post them.

Michelle that is a nice design you made. I think I have soooo many magnets to print out that I wont have any room left on my door.

Gotta go make dinner now, so see ya later

Corinna ---looks like u aren't dressing for pirate night but Graham is...LMAO

Yes, I just noticed this. Well, it will be me getting up at the crack of dawn 105 days before our cruise and making the Palo reservations so we see about this one :rolleyes1

Hello all! Sorry I've been MIA...I've been fighting another sinus infection.
Kristi--That is wonderful news! I will be praying for safe travel and good health! I'm sure you are going to busy over the next few weeks!

Well, here (I hope) are some pictures from our trip to the North Pole, I mean Boston...

And since Michelle pointed out that we don't have one posted of Ryan (someone has to stay home and work while the girls and I travel the country)
Here is one of Ryan with Ashley and Riley our last trip to WDW
PIMG1155_067.jpg

OK, looking at the picture of Ryan I just realized that he looks a little drunk. He wasn't...that's his attempt at making a silly face because he doesn't like posing for pictures.

OK, here goes....

1. Which Disney character would describe your personality and why?
I would say Doc from Snow White, because I think I know it all. (If Ryan asks, I do know it all :thumbsup2 )
2. If you have been on the Magic, favorite thing to do?
Just one? OK, I guess I would say going to the shows, and then browsing in the stores after.

3. Favorite thing to do at Disney?
I love it all! The parks the cruise the atmoshpere, everything! I do love watching my kids faces during the shows and parades. The looks of wonder and awe they have on their faces are priceless.

4. Are you dressing in pirate gear for Pirate Night?
The kids are, Ryan and I probably wont.

5. What are you most looking forward to on this cruise?
Cruising with family, the part of it that I really like! And just being back on the Magic, it'll have been almost 3 years since our last cruise, that's the longest we've gone without one.
6. What is a tip you have learned you would like to share?
It's funny how everyone says "go to Parrot Cay" for your first lunch, we do the opposite. Eating at Topsiders (outside) gives us that feel that our cruise has begun. They have the Carribean music playing and it's (usually) sunny and warm. Anyway, back to the question...we brought a pop-up hamper last time and loved having it! I really like the kids knowing exactly where to put their dirty clothes. OK, that's a boring tip, so here's another one...if you have little ones take them into the stores on the first night right before dinner and let them pick out a "table toy". It's a small toy that they bring to dinner each night to play with while waiting for all the courses to arrive. Also, make sure you pack sunscreen in your day bag that you bring onto the ship with you. Everyone always remembers the bathing suits, but some people forget the sunscreen.
7. What dinner seating do you have?
Main, we haven't requested a specific time yet, but I would like to be in Lumieres for formal night.

8. What excursions look good to you?
I'm not even looking at excursions right now. At this point I will be on cloud 9 if we can just pay for the cruise. When we get closer, if there are funds availabe I will look into doing one or two. Our previous two DC's we didn't do any excursions and had a blast. So, we'll see.

9. Drinker?
Yes please! You wont find me passed our though. (I've built up too much of a tolerence for that---just kidding)We will bring some of our own to save money, and I will probably have one or two DOTD's. Gotta have my Konk Kooler on CC though :thumbsup2 mmmm!

I haven't found a good place to hide yet either. I would love to be able to do a back to back some day...one can dream!

Hi all! Just checking in briefly. Things are going here. Can't say it's all been smooth sailing (or flying in our case) but it's all happening. Our tickets are booked, the Visa's are done, I've made my packing lists, the suitcases are out, most of the items that aren't clothing are ready to pack, most of Christmas has been bought, house and cat sitter is lined up, and job is taken care of (thankfully my boss didn't flip his lid when he heard the change). I've still gotta finish cleaning the nursery and setting it up (not much there left to do) and I've still gotta clean the remainder of the house (just the basics), pack, pay bills, get money ready, get thank you notes (for the people in Vietnam), finish the Christmas shopping, pick up the prescriptions and pick up the last few needed items. Then we can go from there. :)

Talk to you later! Kristi

PS: I wish I had lots of $$$$ cause I could certainly use a Disney cruise after all this. :) Thankfully it's not much longer til the cruise when this is done. WOW it's hard to believe we're in the single digits for months left.

I love that you all are answering the questions...I will try and think of more. I think it gives people ideas and tips and insight into who we are cruising with.:rotfl2:

Kristi----good luck with everything....another week and you leave to get your daughter....so jumping outta my skin with excitment for you:banana:

Andrea---Do they serve the same food at Topsiders as PC? i just have always gone to PC....though sittin outside would be nice too. It's probably busier up there. I too bring a hamper. I am a organized freak so everything has it's place , even in my stateroom.

Suggestion I found...take a small tote and wrap your alcohol in bubble wrap for travel. Then u have the tote and bubble wrap for any breakable souv. u buy! Actually I am buying my Alcohol when I get to Florida but still take the bubble wrap and a shoe box tote for breakables on the return.

Well off to write in my TR. Chat later:santa:

Michelle, that's a really good idea about the bubble wrap! We will be buying ours in FL too, but it will still be nice to wrap it for the trip from the hotel to the ship. We always buy a Christmas ornament and coffee mugs (my favorite souvie), so the wrap would be nice for those.
From what I've heard the food is the same at both restraunts on the first day, but we've always done topsiders, so I can't say for sure. I just like being outside right away and close to the pool for the kids. Everyone has their own personal preferences though...
Right now my agenda for the first day (assuming we get the Palo ressies we want beforehand) will be to check with guest services to make sure our OBC is in order and get tickets for the tea party. Then off to eat and explore the ship (it will be my extended families first time on the ship) get in a little pool time for the kids and then off to settle into the cabin before it's time for our thread meet and lifeboat drill. Then the sail away party, dinner, and the show...wow, we wont be tired or anything will we?

There you go again Andrea, planning out our days:laughing: just kidding. Trust me I really appreciate all of the tips that you and the rest of the crew on here have given us. I can't imagine going into this blind. I would forget to bring so much, not to mention the fun that I would miss with the FE's.

Talk to you all soon.

OK. Here goes...

1. Which Disney character would describe your personality and why?
Donald. Easily aggravated, but very lovable! :headache:

2. If you have been on the Magic, favorite thing to do?
Shows, spa, watching DS in the Mickey Pool

3. Favorite thing to do at Disney?
EVERYTHING!!! I like the coasters & am excited that DS will be big enough for all but RNRC on our Feb trip.

4. Are you dressing in pirate gear for Pirate Night? DS will. We will probably wear a PotC shirt or similar and maybe eyepatch or something.

5. What are you most looking forward to on this cruise?
The magic...:goodvibes

6. What is a tip you have learned you would like to share?
I agree about Topsiders during boarding. We got some food and DS got right in the Mickey pool while we relaxed & started our trip. We really enjoyed the spa as well - Frangipini scalp treatment & rasul. Would never have known about them if not for these boards.

7. What dinner seating do you have?
Main..not sure what time yet.

8. What excursions look good to you?
We will probably do the submarine in Cozumel and know we want to get to Sting Ray City in GC.

9. Drinker? Not anymore...:rolleyes1

Welcome back Julie.....Haven't heard from ya in awhile.. I am thinking I might switch to topsiders for lunch on Sat. I can't let you all hang there without me...:rotfl:

I think I am just having the girls where their swim suits under some thow over dresses and eat at topsiders and throw them in the pool:) :thumbsup2

I love you all are answering the questions....thinking of more:rolleyes1

Michelle, now I'm feeling pressure...what if you don't like Topsiders like we do, and your first lunch of your cruise is ruined? Don't hold it against me, K? :rotfl:

I asked my husband today if he cared if we went to topsiders instead and he said "do I need to answer, now!!?" I said of course!! LOL I don't know why I asked we will just go whereever I walk to...LOL

We did PC this last cruise, last year we did Plutos dog house. (both places were too crowded to eat.) This year I figured we would end up at Topsiders and there was room at PC. ( We had number 4 boarding pass.... 13 in 07)

Both places are great to eat! I actually preferred PC because you could keep going back. :)

Last year we let the kids swim etc, this year we did more walking around the ship and got our tickets for Alice's tea.
