Oct. 29th 2006 Halloween anyone?

we have almost all of our ressies done now too!! We still need to decide if we are going to rent a car or not...and if we do, how long to rent for. What's everyone else planning with a car? I know it was posted before, but does the residence inn have free parking while we are on cruise? How about a shuttle to the port? I gotta start taking notes, so i don't forget these important little details!!

Talk about being a big GOOF... lol....i am not sure on the parking and ido believe there is a shuttle. we are renting a car from Budget to go visit michael's uncle then i am hoping to return it early on sunday before going to the port... get DBIL to take DH to return it then catch the shuttle... THAT IS IF THEY HAVE ONE!!

I don't think they have a free shuttle. I heard that budget will drop you off at the port. I'm going to rent a van from budget at the airport then turn it in the next morning, then pick it back up after the cruise for visiting the grandparents, then turn it back in at the airport. That was I won't worry about where to park, and having to pay for a rental car while I'm on the cruise. I know that budget has a shuttle to pick you up from the port (we already did that) There is a code for a cheaper fare that I found on the DIS boards (can't remember where) for budget. It's not much but every little bit helps.

Well, I was looking at our hotel site and boy am i glad i booked it when i did. The room i got is $30 more now. Tink i am glad you mentioned rental when we get back. I was not even thinking.. LOL... need to look into that. Thanks

Today I was looking for pirate costumes for the kids (and myself of course!),and got to thinking about Halloween. It's on Tuesday, isn't that the day they usually have pirates night? The kids have their halloween costumes already, so what is going to happen? Different days?
Oh BTW are we still gonna bring treats for the kids? Maybe we could have a list of room numbers for the kids to trick or treat to. I'd love to participate, just want to make sure I have enough treats for all.

Tink, i was just thinking the same thing. If we could all list our room numbers and all we will know where we can go for trick a treating. Could we contact DCL and found out about pirate night and halloween stuff?

Yeah!!! We have another person going with us!! Hi again debbie!! Welcome Stephieann!! This cruise is going to be so much fun! My dh and i will celebrate our 10th anniversary on nov 9, 2006. I just saw your other thread and responded there too, but my ta said that we will be able to trick or treat on the ship for our cruise. I think it sounds like a lot of fun!! I think it's great that we have this thread going cuz we should really learn alot about each other!! I have a little notebook started with all the tips i've picked up from the dis. Some friends have started asking me about the cruise...i act like i'm all knowledgable...little do they know, i learned it all here!! Well, gotta get going for tonite, so i'll talk to you both later!!

Hey Debbie!! We are on the second page of this thread!!!!!!! Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. Stomach bugs are the worst!! Glad you all are doing better. You are so lucky to be able to go to wdw a couple times a year! We were doing the once a year, but i'm so totally hooked on the cruise now, i don't know when we will get back to the world. I'd like to include it with our trip in oct 2006, but not sure how much time i'll be able to keep the kids out of school for. We'll have to see...
Well, that's all for tonite. I'll try to post again tomorrow. I like to watch your ticker counting down. August is almost done already, and that means it's another month closer to our cruise!!!! I really need to get a ticker, just haven't done it yet. Silly question, but do they cost money?? Do you just click on the link and it tells you what to do?? I'm still pretty computer illiterate!! I had the best time of my life. The weather was just great. It wasn't crowded. And best of all no husband. We did what we wanted when we wanted. It was great.I've been meaning to write but I've been so busy this week. It's funny but I was thinking the same thing "we're on the second page". How's everything there? Everything here is good. You are going to have a ball. This is my third cruise. All with DCL. I love them more than WDW. Is the most fun ever. I wish it was 2006. We are going to have a great time. But I'm glad we'll get to know each other by next year. It will be like seeing old friends.
