Happy that Kaleigh is doing fine now.

Susan, thanks for the advice.

Another lazy day. Doing laundry. Nothing fun.

Got all the laundry done.

Read a lot this weekend.

Let Stanley play in the snow. Watched Turner ice skate on the road and driveway (yes, in Charlotte, NC)!!! Waiting to hear if Turner has a snow day tomorrow. The public school system just cancelled for tomorrow.

Supposed to be icy in the morning. I really hate black ice!!

Susan: Be careful!

Again, very cold, but sunny.

Nothing going on today.

Wow Susan, you really got the ice and snow!! Glad you were able to stay inside and not go out in it. I hope you were able to relax! I am not sure how far away my BIL is from you but he lives in Bath, NC and they have 8 inches of snow right now!

Denine - Glad Kaleigh is all better now. That poor girl can't get a break from being sick. Definitely say no the hamsters!

Barb - I am not sure if my mom posted this or not but she found out that our Disney Store is closing this month. BOO!!!! :( How are you feeling?

Julie - Skiing was good! I love being outside doing anything. So you are throwing a Superbowl party? Who are you rooting for?

We had a very interesting weekend! Friday was great and went skiing. Most of the powder was skii'd off but we managed to find some. It was more like Spring skiing, very warm and bright blue skies. Everywhere you looked around you either saw blue, white or green....very beautiful. It was strange to see a lot of rocks and trees that are usually covered up with snow by now. Saturday I was lazy all day and didn't move from the couch and stayed in my pajamas all day long. Sunday we filed our taxes and decided we would go to our favorite breakfast place to celebrate that we didn't owe anything. On the way there, Chris got pulled over with a speeding ticket going 81 in a 65. That was the first time in my life I have ever been pulled over or in a car being pulled over. Of course he got the $115 fine and 2 points. We finally get to breakfast and get back home to discover our fridge is on its last leg so we went shopping for refrigerators and came home to both of us being sick. I think we got food poisoning at breakfast. Between being sick and trying to get laundry done, it was a very interesting night last night. This morning I was listening to the morning show on my radio station and found out that one of the guys on the show and his wife were also pulled over in the same area around the same time also going 81 in a 65.

Good Morning!
Hope everyone had a good weekend. I am on the reunion committee for my high school reunion this summer. We went to check out places on Friday. One of the guys on the committe was an ex boyfriend have not seen him in years, :teeth:best thing was I was having a great hair day! Friday night we went with some friends out to dinner. Saturday we went to see "The Blind Side" it was really good. Sunday we took Amanda and Chad out for Amanda's birthday. Love spending time with the kids. :lovestruc Chad is such a nice guy, Amanda is really happy.

Trying to decide when to book a cruise. Still have a deposit floating but just can't seem to decide when to book the cruise for. Alaska does not thrill me. Have no desire to cruise there.

Heidi-CLOSING! what is the deal with the Disney stores? First they close a bunch then there are rumors of them opening some up again and BAMMM closing some more. I just don't get why they can't make them successful:confused3

Sandy-I am better, thanks for asking. Only had flu for one day and it was not bad :confused3

Denine-Glad Kaleigh is better. :cat:

Susan-Glad you got time to rest and read. You really need it.

Julie-How is school going? Are the kids playing any sports right now? How is Annamarie liking her job? When is the next trip?

Hi guys,

Heidi, how are you feeling? I didn't know that you got sick. I'm wondering if in fact your refrigerator is going out then perhaps you got sick from something in it. Did you take my advice and move the freezer part to your big freezer?

Barb, glad to see you posting. High school reunion, huh? I have never been to mine but it would be in SD. Too long of a drive for me. Good hair day, YOU ALWAYS HAVE GREAT HAIR!!!!!ALWAYS!

Susan, enjoyed seeing Stanley and Turner in your video. The snow was beautiful. How's the driving?

Denine, we are sunny and warm. No snow in the future either.

Headed to Physical Therapy tomorrow. They said they couldn't get me in until Friday so I said thanks but I will find another place to go. Hmmmm, they found one tomorrow at 8am. LOL I'm not feeling the love there. I left a message and they never returned it. The girl that answered today was sweet however.

Good Morning!

Sitting here munching on cereal before the calls start coming in. water aerobics tonight. Glad the weather is warming up some.

Sandy-You are SOOO sweet! I WISH I had good hair. Love you

Gonna run down and wash out my bowl real quick be back in a few

Barb - I am having breakfast with you! I am eating cereal right now too, Crispix.....Yum! I hope you have a great day, I don't know how you remain so happy and positive with your job and people always wanting to fight with you. I definitely could not do your job!

Mom - glad you got an appointment. Maybe the Dr. can refer you to someone else if they are rude to you today. Let me know how it goes today. Oh yeah and I forgot to tell you that Survivor starts next Thursday so you will be stuck with me on Thursday starting next week!!!!!

Heidi: You did have an interesting weekend. Glad you had fun skiing!

Barb: Have fun planning your reunion. I went to my 20th and don't think I will go to another. Sounds like you had a nice weekend.

We are a bit warmer today, but a mix of sun and clouds, so 6 more weeks of winter if we had a groundhog.

Kaleigh has PSR tonight, so I can do my needlework while she is gone. I have been working on puzzles lately to help calm my nerves. Kaleigh helps at times. I am doing a 1500 piece one right now. I just work on it when I get the chance.

Looking foward to going away this weekend. The hotel is supposed to have a nice pool and hot tub so we are hoping to use them.

Barb: You can come cruise with us and Julie on 10/16! It is a Western.

Sandy: Hope the PT people are nicer than they seem!

Checking back in.....

I feel so Loved right now. :lovestruc You guys are soooo sweet. One of the many reasons I love you so much. Hair.... cruise....Happy and Positive....:lovestruc You made my day. :cloud9:

Heidi-I have to admit I laughed when I read your post about your celebration breakfast because you didn't owe any taxes then on the way got a speeding ticket then had to replace the refridgerator. I laughed because isn't that the way it always goes. You get some money only to have to pay out twice as much. Ahhhh Life Gotta Love it!!:rotfl:

Denine- Man I would LOVE to cruise with you guys. Means a lot to me that you want me. :lovestruc I will look into it. I am thinking 2011 is going to be a little better for us though but Hummmmm how can I make this work

Sandy-How did your appointment go? Hope you are feeling better.

Julie: When and where is your superbowl party?

Hi guys, back from PT. It went well. He told me what he thought and don't even ask me cuz I can't tell you. One of those that you kind of understand but not really, LOL. I had an ultrasound today and neck traction. Not as sore as I thought I would be. Hurt leaving but getting better now. I am set up for another 7 times. I do like this place so I will stay. It's so much better than I had 13 or 14 years ago for pretty much the same thing. They are much more thorough. MUCH MORE. Plus he said that he'd like to look into my lower back issues that I have periodically and also my plantar faschiitis because they could even cause what's going on right now.

Barb, I wasn't saying it to make you feel better. You have nice hair!!!! Want to trade?

Denine, have fun this weekend. A hot tub sounds heavenly right now. We found a well kept secret at our MX resort. They have a hot tub in a private room in the spa that you can use for free. This was my third time there and didn't know about it. We made an reservation. It was warm and felt so good with the colder weather they were having.

Heidi, I would gladly have you on Thursdays. Sounds like fun. One of those Thursdays we will have spiral ham that I have in the freezer since Chris isn't a big fan.

Denine - Just hearing the words Hot Tub and the possibility of sitting in one would get me relaxed! I hope you enjoy the weekend, with everything you have gone through you deserve a well relaxed weekend.

Barb - so you said cruise in 2011, then my suggestion would be to come with us on the New Ship!!!!!! Even though it is only 4 days and to Nassau, you can always do a back to back and have 8 days. I don't mind it being to Nassau because I won't want to get off anyway, I just want to explore the new ship!!!!

Mom - glad your appointment went well. On a Thursday I am going to have to bring over the Turkey in Gravy frozen dinner thing that I love!!! Chris hates it so I never get it. Do you know what I am talking about?

Mmmmmm, Heidi, the frozen turkey roast. Can we have it next week? I am making a turkey breast tomorrow, Oatie's way. It's already thawed.

American Idol has the Denver contestants. I know it's stupid but can't wait!

I am not even coming over this Thursday (I have to finish reading my book before Survivor starts) so next week works!

Hi guys! Barb, like Denine said, we are scheduled to go on the Oct. 16th cruise. It should be a nice trip like last time. I like the eastern's because of the extra day at sea, but the western's are fun too. PLUS you get to sample all the tequila's on the strip in Cozumel ... hiccup! Right Denine! :rotfl2:

Well, Anna Marie is doing ok down at Disney. She has learned what the "working force" does! LOL! She had to dye her hair one color before she started. Her high lights were tooooo extreme for them. Then she had to have her nails cut 1/4 of an inch to get the disney look.. WELL, since she is working with food, she had to cut her nails to be even with the tips of her fingers. THEN she had to wear the bonnet WHICH she wasn't too trilled with, but I told her how cool, you don't have to do anything with your hair for work, just put it in your bonnet and go!!! THEN she had to learn to do ALL the jobs in the kitchen (cleaning the grill of grease for an hour after they closed, plus cleaning the fryers...) Things she hasn't done because when she worked for Mc Donald's she only did the drive through window , so she never got the "full" idea of work. PLUS, she works AT LEAST 7 hours a shift and she has worked for 5 days in the row with only 2 days off.... She is adjusting, it was just a huge shock to work like most people. LOL! She is having better days. She will have to learn every "station" at Liberty Inn and will have to work all the stations as well. She just thought she would ahve more interaction with the guests and I told her she will once her training is over. She just has to take advantage of the "shadowing any one in the Disney company"... ie. an event planner, wedding planner, a business manager...etc....) on her days off and/or before her shifts. And make the best of her time there! It is a networking opportunity so she needs to do it! I'm sure she will begin to like it better as the weeks go on, it was just a HUGE ADJUSTMENT for her. It sure isn't a "vacation or days in the sorority house going to college or working for 4 hours at Abercrombie and Fitch folding clothes" that she is use to. I just told her welcome to the working class! LOL! Plus, not having someone having dinner ready for her when she comes home..... But like I said, she is doing a lot better and I really think that once training is over, she will like it SOOOOOOO much better. SO, if anyone is going to Disney..... she'd love to go to dinner with you, (your treat of course...;) she is a working college student!) LOL!!!!

Denine, we aren't sure if we are gonna have the party now. We were gonna have it here, BUT Garry's friend John (from our wedding) said something about maybe having it at his house, so right now I'm not sure IF OR WHEN we are having a party or not. I can let you know before you leave.

Heidi, If I have to choose a team in the superbowl, I would probably choose the Colts. I like Peyton Mannings commercials.. so I will cheer for him (ok that sounds such like a woman comment:sad2:). I just like football AND there are teams I just CAN'T cheer for no matter what! (like Pittsburgh to name just one).

Sandy, that is great about your PT place. They seem like they will help you! I will be watching Survivor too! I'm also a LOST fan, and Amazing Race, Big Brother, American Idiol..... among others!:woohoo:

Hi Susan! Thinking of you! I hope you guys are making through all the snow/ice storm ok.
Well, gonna run! Have a super night everyone!

TTFN

Heidi, :rolleyes1DUH! Sorry, I was excited to have you I guess!!!:woohoo:

Julie, so interesting to read about Anna Marie from your prospective. She will be fine. It's going to be a huge "attitude" adjustment to accept all the changes and she will soon. It's always hard to change your ways and thoughts. Sounds like you guys are understanding and she needs that.

Julie: OK, just let me know. I have the kids' birthday presents and you xmas present. Yep, sounds like Anna Marie is getting a dose of life!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my dear husband!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :lovestruc:love::hug:

We are going to Red Lobster tonight to celebrate.

Sandy: I am making a turkey breast tomorrow too. I was gonna do it today, but Jerry decided he wanted to go out.

We got a very sweet sympathy note from Pam, the one who takes care of our kitties when we are gone. I know she really like Jasper.

Cozumel..tequila? :rolleyes1

Right now we are working on our plans for our 20th anniversary next year. Gotta plan ahead!

Cold and snowy today, but no real accumulation.

Good Morning

Quick hello very busy today. cant seem to get a minute to post or farm :lmao:

I will try and get on later.

Cozumel is to you guys like St Thomas is to Heidi and me...........rum punch anyone. LOL

Denine, my turkey breast is so tender and moist. I put it in the crock pot all day long. I but it meaty side down and then pour one can of chicken broth over it. Keep the liquid after eating to put over the leftover meat and store and reheat in it. How do you make yours? I have a good recipe for a rub but haven't made it that way for awhile.

Leaving soon for my hairdresser appointment.
