Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

My Dad collapsed at home mid day and had to be taken to the hospital via ambulance. He didn't get hurt but is very disoriented. They think that is the new meds they gave him. He also has pneumonia. They think it is from an aspiration. They admitted him to the oncology unit and my brother is staying with him overnight and I am going back to relieve him in the morning. Please keep the prayers coming.

Love you guys!

Susan, so sorry to hear about your dad! Keeping you and your dad and the rest of the family in our thoughts and prayers!

Please keep us posted!

Susan - so sorry about your dad. Will keep you all in my prayers. Please keep us updated. Thinking about you.

I am ready for some Black Friday shopping!!!! Off to go pick up my mom.

Oh my Susan. Your poor dad. We will certainly keep your dad in our prayers. You, too.

Waiting for Heidi. I see she said she's leaving so I better get off.

My love to all. :grouphug:

We're back after 6 hours of pure :scared1:madness. It was fun though. I came back with money but not sure Heidi did.:rotfl2: Nap time.

Susan: I am so sorry to hear about your dad! He is still in our prayers.

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!

It was nice not to have to go to both parents yesterday. We go to my parents tomorrow.

Work was Ok today. The Witch with a capital B only gave me 1 day for next month. :headache: I will have to talk to her come the January schedule.

Kaleigh wrote her letter to Santa today. She wrote a very nice one too.

I think we are going to start putting up decorations this weekend.

Susan: Are you going to be able to make it next weekend? I would love to see you again, but stay home with your dad if you need to!

I managed to get everything I went for, I was so excited. I guess I spent too much because the fraud department from Chase called wondering about all the charges! Had a good time, can't wait for next year!

Dad is a lot better today. I spent all day with him. They had him on Adavan and it made him very loopy and hallucinating. He was and is still very week but at least he is not so disoriented and out of it. His lab work today showed improvements in the blood counts and he ate pretty good today. He has no fractures but is very sore all over. I am going back up first thing in the morning. I like to be there when the doctors come around.

Thanks for all the support. I will keep you posted. Love you guys!!:grouphug:

Susan, you are just like us. We always wanted to be at the hospital during Doctor runs! Glad there is improvement that is for sure!

Went with Heidi a tad this afternoon and now making peanut brittle. Shhhhh, don't tell Heidi or she will come over. LOL

Sandy, the cheapest flight I can find is over $300 so I guess the peanut brittle is safe from me.:lmao:

My Dad is still improving so he may go home tomorrow but will require someone to be with him round the clock since he is a fall risk. I am staying at the hospital tonight and until he gets home tomorrow. I'm not going back up there until 11:00. I was there this morning and saw the doctor and the physical therapist. She got him to walk a short hallway with help.

Denine/Juli, I am still hoping to come to Cleveland on Friday but I will have to see how the week goes. My brother still wants me to try to go but I will make the final decision later in the week. Regardless, Paul and Turner will be going.

I'll touch base again tomorrow. (So thankful for the happy pills. Don't know how I would have gotten through the last few days without them!):goodvibes

Love you guys!
:grouphug:

It's mighty quiet here this weekend. What is everyone up to? I finished my peanut brittle today. Did a little shopping. Some laundry and now waiting for Amazing Race.

Susan, so how is your dad doing now that he is at home?

Dad continues to get his strength back now that he is home. I have to call the oncologist in the morning to see if we need to postpone tomorrow's scheduled chemo. Dad still wants to do it but the internist at the hospital said the oncologist may want him to get a little stronger and finish his antibitotic first.

I'm heading to bed early. I didn't get a lot of sleep at the hospital last night and I didn't get home until 4:00 this afternoon after getting him discharged, picking up Rx and then getting a schedule together with his girlfriend, my brother and sister for being there round the clock.

Hopefully this will be a better week than last week. And, hopefully I can still go to Cleveland on Friday.

I'll post tomorrow evening if I get a chance.

Love you guys!

Sandy - have some peanut brittle for me.

Good Morning!

Happy belated Thanksgiving. I was so busy hosting and cooking for 16 that I didnt have time to post. We really had a good Thanksgiving. It was so nice to have my parents there. I have not been able to spend a holiday with them for about 6 years. I am hoping they stay for Christmas too.

Jaymee Louis and I went to Best Buy at 4:00 in the morning on Black Friday and stood in line that was wrapped around the back of the building, freezing but I GOT MY DYSON!! Regular price is $599 and I got it for $349. I was so excited. Gave it to Bob to put together and went upstairs on the computer. After he got it together he USE IT. I was really annoyed I was not the first to get to use it since I have been looking at it for a year and dreaming.
He loves it too. He kept saying "can you believe Kara has been crawling around on all this dirt! I shampoo the carpet every weekend and it gets vacuumed several times a week but the Dyson sure did get deep down stuff. I have a Kirby that is about 27 years old that is soooo heavy. It is so fun to vacuume with a vacuume that pulls itself. When we were out this weekend I kept thinking " Can't wait to get home and vacuume" :rotfl:

Had so much fun with Jaymee and Louis here. It was so sad to see them go but we will be in DISNEY in 9 MORE DAYS!!!

Susan-Glad to see your Dad is recovering. Sounds like you have some challenging times ahead with the round the clock care.:hug:

Heidi-:rotfl: Funny about the call you got from Chase. Did you get your shopping done? Did you get some good deals?

Julie-Thanks again for remembering me with the gift exchange!

Sandy-What is next on the cooking list?

Almost finished with the 60 little stockings I started in January. Stuffed them and Bob is going to mail 30 of them to Tiffany to hand out at school. I make the stocking and cut out a little felt gingerbread boy for the front of the stocking and outlined him in sequins. It took some time to get them all done. I made 30 for Tiffany and 20 for Ethan kindergarden class next year. I decided to make 15 for him to pass out to preschool class so I got a little bit more to do. Being sick for a month really threw off my schedule! I am stuffing stocking for all the kids this year. I have not done stocking for all of them in a couple of years and now I have spouses too. I am also making Christmas pillow cases for everyone.

Put Christmas sheets on all the beds. Ethan does not do change well and is not sold on the new sheets.

Got the cutest picture of the kids on Santa's lap. Karebear is not afraid of strangers but boy when Missy put her on Santas lap she got a huge frown and started crying. Jaymee and I went laughing so hard and all Missy wanted to do is rescue her daughter. There were some better pictures where Karebear stopped crying cuz she saw Ethan was there and ok with Santa but the first one was priceless so that is the one I bought.

Susan - Thinking about you, hope things are getting better. We love you.

Barb - I love my Dyson. Which model did you get, did you get the Ball? That is the one we have and we love it. It is heavy to carry up the stairs but so worth it! My mom and I have definitely been standing in those kind of lines before for black friday, only we did it at Circuit City. I had the best Black Friday ever! We started at 3:00am and I got everything I wanted. My car was packed full of stuff I bought!

Mom - Chris LOVES the need for speed Wii game we got from Target. He rushes home to play it so hopefully Rich will like it too.

Hello!

Busy weekend. We went to my parents for several hours on Saturday and yesterday was spent putting up the tree and decorating. We are worn out and I have more decorating to do!

Susan: Glad your dad is home. Let me know the details of this weekend. I have no idea where you are staying or anything. I hope you can make it.

Barb: I don'tk n ow how you find the time to do everything. It boggles my mind!

I am hoping to wrap some presents from Santa while Kaleigh is at PSR tomorrow night.

Heidi: Glad you got all you were looking for. But, you wouldn't catch me at a store on BF!

These last few days were so busy that I need a day off! :rotfl:

Hi everyone.

Dad has had a very packed day. His ocologist did want him to get his new chemo today so off to the oncologist we went at 10:30. His blood count was down to 7.1 so the it was off to the hospital for 2 unts of blood. My brother offered to sit with him since it would take so long so I could go back to work. When I talked to them at 4:00 they had just started the first unit. They probably won't get home until around midnight but hopefully he will feel a little better with the blood.

Denine/Julie - I forwarded an email to you earlier today with our game schedule this weekend. I am going to really try to make the trip. We have to go meet the team bus on Friday morning at 7:15. Looks like we are going to be about 6 miles from Julie and about 15 or so from Denine. Staying in Strongsville. Can't wait to see you guys!

Barb - wish we were close and you could come show me your new Dyson (as often as you would want to demonstrate it!:lmao:)

I'll try to post tomorrow.

Love you guys!
