Hi all! Sorry I have been MIA, busy weekend.

We spent all day Saturday working in the yard, we went to Cedar Point yesterday afternoon after church. Kaleigh is finally tall enough to ride more rides!

THe boards were painfully slow this morning, so I didn't get on much.

We started school today! Kaleigh couldn't wait.

Went to the vet to pick up more meds for Jazz. The tramadol (ultram) did nothing for him except make him loopy. So after 3 doses, we gave up on it and let hime get it out of his system and get some sleep. he wouldn't close his eyes on the the stuff. Yesterday, I gave him some leftover NSAID that I had and he felt better. The lasix has really helped with his SOB. So, I picked up another heart med and more NSAID. He should be feeling better.

Going to dinner to celebrate Kaleigh starting 2nd grade.

Sandy/Heidi: Can't wait to hear about your trip!

Susan: Good news about your friend's nephew!

Barb: I think posting and farming should count as getting something done!

I haven't hear yet about the blood work from the ENT, hopefully in the next couple of days.

Mmmmmm Barb.....Maggiano's, yummy!

Heidi, that's tough when you want to work and everyone else wants to talk.

Denine, poor Jazzy. He has been through so much in a little bit of time.

Julie, please check in and let us know how everything is going.

Susan, good to hear about your friend's nephew. I can't imagine as a parent going through that.

Ran errands all day today....from 9 to 3. I am so sore. Can't imagine why since the last two weeks were all about walking. Oh well, I am sitting tonight and trying to get caught up with reality shows. Any favorites for BB? I love Jeff and Jordan.

Hey!

Never did get a chance to post again at work. Busy busy day.

My friend has decided to put the kids in a foster home. I was so sad when she told me. I respect her decision but could never do it myself. She is looking out after her health and decided that taking care of a 2 year old and 9 month baby is more then she can handle. I am going to support her decision I know it must have been heart breaking for her to decide.

Well it is after 11 I am trying to get some farming done and then off to Yoville then bed.

Good night!

I have never been to Maggiano's before. I heard it was good but kind of pricey. Someday I will get there!

Barb - what a tough decision for your friend to make. I am not sure that is one I could have made. What is Yoville? I use to be addicted to farming, and then I was away from it for over 2 weeks so that was my cure! I am trying not to go back to it because I spent so much time at night on my farm and Chris was getting jealous I think!

Mom - My favorite is Jeff and Jordan too. Anyone watching Hell's Kitchen?

Barb: Your friend's heart must be breaking to have to make that kind of decision. All you can do is support her decision.

Finally turned off the AC this morning. I will see how Jazzy does, but since he is feeling better, I think he should do OK. He was waiting in the kitchen for his breakfast this morning! I think he is using borrowed lives by now. I think he has used up all 9 of his own.

Heidi: How could you give up your farm????????

Sandy: I have been so sore after working in the yard all day on Saturday. I am finally getting better.

Still waiting for blood test results and today is school, so I am off to my farm.

Good morning. I am working from home today so wanted to do a quick check in.

Barb - your friend has made a very tough decision, I don't know how I could make that decision but I am not faced with her situation. What is her prognosis? The last I remember you said she was on a ventilator. Has she improved?

I am taking my Dad for his CT scan today. We still have not heard results from the bone scan. I am going to try to get some answers while we are at the office today.

Turner starts back to school tomorrow. He is sleeping in one last day. Later he is going to do some yard work here and for our neighbors. They really do have their hands full with the twins. I went over for a few minutes yesterday. Will probably go back over again this afternoon to see if they need anything.

I'll check back in later today.

LYMI

Susan, ah yes, the life of a mother of twins! Pixie dust to your dad!

Barb, I feel for your friend. She was forced to make such a difficult decision. You are a good friend for being there for her!

Denine, your turning off the AC made me laugh. Good grief, we haven't needed that much of AC this year. It is another day in the mid 70's here. Rainy as I type. I met Ted for lunch and it got so dark and scary so I headed home. As I pulled in the garage and put the new car in park it started to hail. Wow, God was there for me!

My dad has an appointment next Tuesday afternoon to discuss the results of his 2 scans. So, I'm juts gonna try to not think about it for a week.

Not much more to say. Turner did some famring for me today so I should be in good shape. I'm not even going to go check right now. I am signing off and going to read a little this evening.

Sandy, glad you got the car in safe!!

Hope everyone had a great day!

Oh no Susan. You didn't say that Turner is now farming, did you? School is starting for pete sake. LOL Great attitude for the week over your dad. He will remain in my prayers.

This reality show junkie is in 7th heaven. I just saw commercials for Amazing Race, Survivor and Biggest Loser, all starting in Sept.

Never a dull moment here. Last night, Kaleigh was just screaming in pain when she should have been sleeping. It seemed like appendicitis, I even looked on the internet for ways to elicit the pain and she had pain when we did them, so off to the ER at 10 PM. But, like taking the car to the mechanic, she felt fine when they were examining her and the same stuff we did at home that caused pain, didn't cause pain anymore. We were both concerned since I had my appendix out when I was recovering from pneumonia. The appendix is part of the immune system. Kaleigh had pain the night before too and some during the day yesterday, but we said it was just growing pains. Thankfully she is OK, but we will keep a careful watch.

Susan: Pixie dust to your dad.

Sandy: At least you got you car in before the hail. We wouldn't have had tha AC if Jazzy wasn't so sick, but he couldn't take the heat with his heart.

Denine, I can't believe poor Kaleigh. What's next for the poor little girl. I guess she better lay low for a few days.

Checking in to see how Kaleigh is doing. Appendicitis is nothing to sneeze at. I am thankful that they took mine during my hysterectomy!!

Just an update on Kaleigh. No pains today.
I did some research; I love the internet! It seems like mesenteric lymphadenitis. There are lymph nodes in the abdomen that can become inflamed due to upper respiratory illness, like pneumonia. The pain mimics appendicitis. We know the lymph nodes in her neck are inflammed, so this isn't surprising.
I called to find out the blood work results and they are not back yet. The person that answered the phone said it sometimes takes 2 weeks to get the results back. Now, I ask you, what good are 2 week old blood test results????????????? I have never seen any place take so long to get them back. All this tells us is what was going on 2 weeks ago!

I kept Kaleigh at home today to rest. She is out playing in her kiddie pool for a few more minutes before her bath.

I agree, two week old results...that's insane. You know the internet is wonderful up to a point for health. I think there are wrong or misleading info as well but what you found sounds right!!

Denine - poor Kaleigh. I cannot believe it takes 2 weeks to get results back.

Hello!

Kaleigh went to sleep last night without tummy pains!

Sandy: I agree with you on medical info on the internet. I tend to read the more technical stuff and I never look at wikipedia.

Not much going on today. Kaleigh just got up. She needs her rest, so I let her sleep. When she is finished with breakfast, we will start school.

Jazzy has stabilized. The only problem is he just lies around most of the time. He did make his way to the basement litter box, but then he can't get back up the stairs. He gets up for food and water or to move to another place to sleep, but he just isn't doing the things he used to do. He will look out the office window sometimes, but there are lots of things he doesn't do anymore. it makes me sad. He still loves to be petted though!

I work tomorrow.

Good morning everyone. Where is Barb and Julie and even Susan? I know that Sally reads but can't post.

Denine - how heartbreaking about Jazzy. I can't even imagine seeing him like that, I would be crying.
