Too many sad stories.

I don't know what to do about Jazz. He is in pain from the arthritis that seems to have come on suddenly. The glucosamine hasn't kicked in yet. I was looking on the internet, but there are so many contraindications of so many meds because of his heart. He is such a sweet boy and I want him to feel better. I put down a cushy blanket for him to lie on and raised his food up on a box so he doesn't have to bend down. It seems like everything got to him this year and we can't keep up.

We are going to cedar Point when Jerry gets home from work.

Kaleigh goes back to the doctor tomorrow for a check on her asthma and an actual prescription for the Singulair.

Barb: Wish Bob a happy birthday for me!

Susan: At least you get fed today!

I talked to the vet about Jazzy. She thinks he is in too much pain for it just to be arthritis. It may be tumors which most likely are in the bone. I will be picking up some pain medicine for him tomorrow after Kaleigh's doctor appointment. We may be coming to the end of this journey soon.

Good Morning!

Took Bob a cake and balloons yesterday to his work. Ethan got home from 4 days of camping. He was pretty tired but we had free tickets to a baseball game. We only got to see 1/2 of an inning before we got rained out. It all worked out for the best because now we get tickets for another game. Ethan will be more up for it.

Denine-I am so sorry about Jazzy. Sounds like your decision is going to be for the best although I know how hard it is going to be.
Kaleigh is an amazing child Denine. What a joy she is for you and Jerry!

Susan-That is such a bummer you don't get overtime. Another thing I really appreciate about my job!

Not much else new with me. Its my Friday!! YAY!

Barb: Thank you!

Just checking in before we leave for the morning.

Jazz seems to be doing a little better today, but he won't use the stairs, so I have to take him to the potty. I don't have any place to put the potty on the first floor, plus it would mess Hera up. I just need to get him to his appointment next week so we can find out more about his heart and why he is in pain. Hopefully the pain medicine will help, but he can only take if for 4 days.

I will be back later.

I just want to know when it will end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to the doctor for Kaleigh this morning. She still has pneumonia! It has improved on cxr, but not resolved after 20 days on atbs. So, now she has to have a CAT scan to see what is going on. This will happen Tuesday morning. It will be with and without contrast which means an injection of dye. If that goes anything like this mornings blood work....
Also, her tonsils are still somewhat swollen so she still has to see the ENT on Monday.

I got Jazz his pain medicine this morning and he goes back to the vet next Thursday and I work next Wednesday.
Kaleigh's ending library program is next Friday.

I work tomorrow which will at least get me out of the house.

Hi Everyone!

If anyone knows how to get in touch with Sandi or Heidi, would you please PM me?

Nothing bad, but I need to speak with Sandi ASAP!

Thanks!

Hi guys, just a quickie. Julie, I know you left a mesage but we can't retrieve messages here in Canada. I have contacted Kelsie via phone msg and email. Everything is good. No cell service half the time and no free internet. Ran to a cafe to contact Kelsie.

Where is everyone?

Jazzy seems to be doing better with his pain medicine. He is moving around better. Good to see.

Getting out to work this morning didn't help. I spent the time with a horrible headache worrying about Kaleigh and Jasper.

Going to the Corn Festival this evening.

Ok. Another busy week of work done!

I went with my Dad for the oncologist appointment today. They are scheduling a bone scan for next week and will also be inserting a cathater in an out patient procedure and then he will also begin chemotherapy. First the scan and that will determine if this will be the right course of action. Hopefully this has not spread into his bones. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

My friends nephew is somewhat awake and has recognized a few family members. He is having more surgery today so back under he will go. At least there was some positive news for a change. The damage to his jaw is apparently worse than they had originally thought. He is going to have several rounds of surgery to repair it.

Glad WebmasterKelsie heard from Heidi and Sandy.

Corn Festival sounds fun. Have some for me.

Pixie dust to Kaleigh and Jazzy. Hope all goes well with the ENT and CAT scan.

I'll check back in tomorrow.

Love you guys.

Thanks Susan.

Glad to hear some good news for your friend's son. Hope it continues.

Pixie dust to your dad. Keep us posted.

The pain medicine is the only thing keeping Jazz moving right now and his last dose is tomorrow. They can put him on tramadol though. We will see. He can go downstairs, very slowly, one step at a time, but he can't go up the steps. His appetite has greatly improved though!

The Corn Festival was packed last night. We are going back tomorrow when it shouldn't be so crowded. Supposed to rain most of the day today. Time to clean the house.

Hi guys, sitting in the internet cafe enjoying a smoothie of sorts. Everyone else is on a very long strenuous hike.

Have I ever told you that I LOVE DU and Kelsie? DCL offered me an upgrade from a 9 to a 6 for 300.00. Kelsie did everything in her power to find me.

Feels good to just sit and do nothing. We have extended our stay here in Canada until Wednesday. It is so beautiful here. Just in case anyone wants to look it up we are in Waterton Natl Park at the Townsite. So much to do and so llittle time. Weather is cool. First couple of days it was extremely overcast but the way it was over the mtns made it worth it. Taking lots of pictures. Have seen quite a few bears. Deer roam the campground.

I will have to try and catch up later. I know something is going on with Susan and a friend and perhaps Jazzy isn't doing well. Pixie dust to you both.

Just wanted to pop in and write a little more than I did yesterday. Miss you guys!

Sandy: Glad to hear you are having such a nice time. Bears; cool! Until I move where it is warm, I am not vacationing someplace cool.

Supposed to be 92 today!:banana: It rained most of the day yesterday and was a bit chilly.

Going back to the Corn Festival, it opens at noon.

Last dose of pain medicine for Jazz. He did make it up the stairs once yesterday, but I carried him up today.

ENT tomorrow afternoon for Kaleigh.

Back to School Tax Free weekend here in NC. The uniform company is at Turner's school this afternoon. Since he has grown (AGAIN), I am heading there to buy new shirts.

I did some major cleaning yesterday. Cleaned out drawers and the closet and finally gagged up the clothes that I haven't been able to fit in for 2 years. If I ever lose the weight I will want new stuff anyway so maybe someone else can get use out of these for now. I can't believe the space I have now (and it is noticeable the lack of clothing variety that fits). I guess I wil have to find some time to shop for me soon.

Sounds Like Sandy and Heidi are having a great vacation. Can't wait to hear all the details.

Denine, have fun at the Corn Festival. I love good, fresh corn on the cob! It has been so good this year since we are finally out ofthe drought.

I'll check back in a little later.

Have a great Sunday everyone.

It's been very lonely today.
Barb and Julie, where are you?
Denine, I know you were at the corn festival, so OK.

I did a lot of farming today and just goofing off. I did get school uniforms and ordered the last 2 textbooks. School supplies next. I wish one of you who enjoys that would take care of it for me. LOL

Back to work in the morning. It's going to be another LONG week.

Paul is back in town and heading back out of town for 2 days. :confused3

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Love ya!

Hi guys!

Sorry Susan, I've been real busy and haven't had time to post. Glad to hear that your friend's son is slightly improving. How's your dad? I know what you are going through, since we went through that with Garry's dad. It is really a rough road to go down. I will keep you guys in our thoughts and prayers.

Barb, what amazing thing have you been doing this weekend? You have always come up with so many neat things to do!

Denine, so how was the corn festival? I'm really surprised that Kaleigh's Dr. is letting her go out to Cedar Point and to the festival with her pneumonia. Specially since he is ordering a CAT scan for her. Boy my kids would love to go to that doctor!

I haven't been posting cause I didn't want to "bring down" the thread with all the stuff that's been going on around here. My mom has been doing AWESOME with her knee. The kids start vacation bible school tomorrow for the week and soccer for Makenzie starts this week too. Garry is going for an MRI for his back this week. We will see what is going on with his back soon! He has been in so much pain. My mom's one cat ran away yesterday and she hasn't seen her since then. My mom couldn't run after her so she is gone. My dad isn't doing well at all. I haven't posted everything that has happen. It has gotten worse. He IS going to lose his other leg. They are hoping to just remove it below the knee, but his leg is so bad, they don't know if that can happen. He is really really REALLY depressed. He has come to the understanding that his foot/ankle area has to go, but he was depressed before that. Who knows what's gonna happen. All this with school starting for the kids and for my mom.... plus my grandmother from Florida is coming for a week starting tomorrow..... SO my week is going to be a little crazy.

Oh yeah, Sorry to hear about Jazzy Denine.

Well gotta go! Have a great week!

TTFN

Julie: Glad you posted. Sorry about your dad. Which kitty took off? Hopefully Garry will find out somthing about his back. Kaleigh's doctor didn't say anything about limiting her activities since she feels fine. I am sure Makenzie is looking forward to soccer starting.

Susan: You have really passed me up in FT.

Off to the ENT this afternoon. Then the Cat scan tomorrow morning.

We had to turn the AC on for Jazzy. He wasn't doing well with the heat yesterday. He is doing ok this morning though. We just need to make it until Thursday for him to get some better meds for his heart.

Just a busy week this week.

Hello everyone!

Good Morning!

Another weekend come and gone. I didn't accommplish much of anything. Well except on my farm. Went to the water aerobics then to the commissary. Did some house cleaning then to the a movie. Sunday we took Ethan to the pool then home. I am trying not to feel to guilty about not getting stuff done but instead now I am stressing over the stuff I left undone. Weeds need pulled carpet needs cleaned, garage left uncleaned, dog needed a bath, baby clothes need to be packed up.

Life sure is challenging for almost everyone right now.

Julie-Sorry about your Dad. Just reading your post I can't even imagine what that is like for him to go through.

Susan-Hope your Dad is better too.

gotta go got a call

I am so sorry to read about all the heartaches everyone is going through. I pray everyone's love ones get better soon.

I will need a vacation after this vacation. LOL We have done so much walking that my ankle is acting up. Not bad but I sure can feel it. I decided not to go on a hike today. I have done it before and it is very strenuous and straight up but the end result is breathtaking. Heidi and Chris might go horseback riding today. Yesterday we went canoeing where moose frequent. Did we see one? Nah, we just don't have the luck. Our neighbor at the campground saw one there right at the dock a couple of days ago.

The weather here is not normal just like in Colorado. We have been in blue jeans since arriving. It is chilly and windy. It's not stopping us though. Just have to put up the the wind.

We are leaving Canada on Wednesday morning. We will probably get home late Thursday.

Sending hugs and kisses to all of you.

Sandy: Have a safe trip home!
When we went on our driving trip through New England, we saw moose crossing signs everywhere in Maine, but didn't see a one.

The ENT doesn't know what is going on with Kaleigh either. He said the size of her tonsils are 3.5 out of 4, but the right one is much smaller than it was originally. The lymph nodes in her neck are also swollen. He said it might be viral, but he won't know until after some blood work. I think he wrote for every test almost. They took 5-6 tubes from my little one. At least she did better this time.
This morning is the CAT scan and I think they have to inject the dye to do the scan with contrast. Kaleigh is worried about getting stuck with another needle.

After her test, if it isn't raining, we are going to the fair which is next door the the hospital.

I have to work tomorrow. Jerry has to go in too, so he is dropping Kaleigh off at his mom's house. He will pick her up before he comes home.

Jazzy is holding his own.

Barb: Don't stress about what doesn't get done. My yard is a mess right now, but other things are just more important.
