Sandy: I remember making those milk carton gingerbread houses in our church youth group as a kid.

We did our best finishing the gingerbread house last night.

It is sunny right now, but expecting more snow. I guess there is supposed to be a snowstorm on Sunday/Monday. We will see how it plays out.

Susan: The weekend isn't supposed to be bad in WDW, but it is going to be cold on Monday. We have friends that left for WDW this morning for the next 10 days. The kids didn't know as of 2 days ago.

Hoping to make some cookies tomorrow. Then we drop Kaleigh off at grandmas after Jerry's meeting ends at 3:30.

Good morning! Played hooky from work and went skiing yesterday! It was an amazing day, great snow and powder. Crazy it has snowed so much in the mountains but nothing down where we are.

I think Lilly has doubled in size in just 2 weeks, it is crazy how fast she is growing.

Susan - Have fun in FL! Hopefully it will warm up while you are there. I was teasing Chris's family that it is warmer in CO right now, than FL!

Julie - Thinking about you.

Barb - I saw on FB that you got to see your new granddaughter. Congrats! Loved the pic.

Denine - Chris is making 3 dozen of cookies today for a party we are going to tonight, I love cookies!

Kaleigh and I made 3 kinds of cookies this morning. I tried a new recipe for egg nog cookies. They are cooling and then I have to frost them.

Anyone else have to log in everytime they come to the DIS? Never used to have to.

Jerry and I get to go on a real date tonight! We have dinner reservations at 6 at a place called White Oaks. It has 6 fireplaces. We requested to sit by one. Then we are going to go to a movie. I want to see Love and Other Drugs. Tomorrow we get busy wrapping.

Mom - Have fun! Wish I was there to make it more fun (j/k). I bought you and dad a bracelet for the second cruise if you want it. If you don't no worries, it was only $2.

It's a cold day. The mtns are getting slammed and we are getting the cold. Maybe, just maybe we could get a little snow this Thursday.

Well, if it holds together we are expecting major storm with possibly blizzard conditions. We are under a storm watch from Tomorro afternoon through Wednesday night. Jerry can work from home, but I have a doctor appointment on Monday afternoon for my breathing test. We will see.

We so enjoyed ourselves last night. We had a table by one of the fireplaces, good food, a bottle of wine... Then we went to Crocker Park and walked around a bit until it was time for the movie. It was a good movie. Just not used to seeing Anne Hathaway in that kind of role.

We got all our r unning around done this morning including some grocery shopping. Got Jerry's mom the basics; bread milk and eggs so she won't have to worry about going out. All of Kaleigh's presents and presents for other people are wrapped. It was nice having help. I still have to wrap Jerry's presents and vice verse.

We are going to make cutouts tomorrow since we won't be able to go anywhere, so they say.

Still planning on church though.

Really bummed I can't find candy canes made in America. They are all made in Mexico or China. I need to look online for some American ones. I did buy a box of Spangler's since they are an Ohio company, but they are made in Mexico. I don't like my food coming from other countries.

Sandy: They always hype these storms and then they fizzle. The lake can either give us snow or take storms away. They were talking 1-2 feet of snow. I am guessing we will get about 6 inches. It is still raining. The warning doesn't start until 7 PM.

I made 2 batches of cutout dough and we will make the cookies after church and lunch.

Kaleigh had fun at grandma's house.

Good Morning!

thought I would check in before I try and get some stuff done. I am still trying to get use to typing on my laptop. the keyboard is smaller and I keep hitting the wrong keys.

Now that I finally have a laptop I will be posting more pictures. Alana is adorable I was so happy to finally get to see her. Jason and Michelle are so happy.

Different trip to Disney this time. If it wasnt Disney I would not have enjoyed the trip very much. It was so stinkin cold in Florida. It was only a few degrees over Colorado everyday. At night it was down in the 30ies. the kids had a great time. I caught something after going over a year without being sick. I called my doctor and she prescribed something so it wouldn't turn into strep or pnemonia again. I am still coughing and my throat is sore again. I am so behind this year Denine I solute you. You are so on top of things. I usually start buying Christmas in January but took this past year off so I have very little done. I did do my Christmas cards on New years day for this year but did not send them yet.

every January I make my yearly goal sheet. This year I am going to put Christmas shopping back on my list. I also am going to make Kara and Alana stockings and a 9 patch quilt for Michelle for next year. going to book our cruise and start getting prepared for it. NO MORE SLACKING!

Julie-OUCH! Your poor little foot. Hope you get it fixed and heal quickly!!

Heidi-Ahhh a new puppy. I am going to hunt pictures of her. Im sure you have posted some.

Denine-How is the storm? Are you getting what they thought?

Sandy-I'm with you on the wrapping! I usually wrap as soon as I buy stuff so I don't have much at the end but this year...dang it

Back from Florida!! Tampa area was warmer than home but not Florida warm!! The team won 2 games and lost 2 games and therefor did not advance to the finals. So we got home earlier today than originally planned. However, get home at 6:30 to find the thermastat broke and there was no heat in the house. It was 26F and 20 mph wind. Made it to Home Depot, bought a new thermostat and neighbor/electrician replaced it and we are now up to 61F in the house. Shouldn't be much longer and it will be toasty. We even have snow flurries. Was not execting that!

Susan - Bummer they didn't make it to the finals. That stinks it was cold down there. My DH keeps commenting that when he flies out there it is going to be colder in Orlando than Denver!

Barb - Welcome back! I can't wait to see pics of Alana. I put pics of my new puppy up on Facebook so you can find it there. I hope you are feeling better. I hope this cold weather they are having passes in a month so it will be warm when we go next month!

Still waiting for the snow that justifies our city cancelling school. It is windy, but there is very little snow on the ground. They are still calling for 5-8" today, but I doubt it will happen. Not in this town anyway.

I do have a doctors appointment this afternoon for my breathing test in Strongsville. It seems they have more snow.

Barb: I know what cold in WDW is like; miserable. That is how it was when we went for Jerry's birthday in 2009. You will get everything done, you always do. I hope you feel better!

Susan: Glad you weren't gone too long for pipes to burst! Too bad about the games.

Denine, you do know there are OTHER REASONS for a school system to close schools BESIDES snow. Wind, wind chill, are the buses working, ice, can the employees get to work, can the schools get cleared for the employees to park and the kids able to walk etc.... children who have to wait outside to catch the school bus are probably greatful they don't have to stand out in it. AND since every other school system in the area (Over 150 systems) there must be a reason to "justify" your system to close today.

Of course, my kids didn't have school today either. I have a foot dr. appointment today so we will see what he did on Wed.

Barb, sorry to hear it was cold down in Florida, but at least you were with the mouse! Glad to hear the kids had a great time and I know you will have great memories of this trip!

Susan, sorry to hear about the house! Glad you to hear your house will have heat again! Sorry to hear that the boys didn't make the finals, but I'm sure they played great!

Heidi, I LOVE your puppy! She is soooooooo cute! I bet my Miley would LOVE her! If you want to send the puppy for a visit... I'm game!!

Sandy, wrapping? What is that you speak of? Heck, if I get presents I'm gonna be a head of the game. At LEAST 2 more weeks on crutches! The stitches will come out then. Still no weight, and wrap the foot for showers! My palms have callouses on them. Tis the season to be uncomfortable!!!

My foot looks and feels so much better then the first surgery so I am knocking on wood that this will be it!!! The dr. was pleased with my foot this time and so was I. So keeping the fingers crossed!!

Denine, let me know when Jerry will be at work this week. He called about getting our stuff to us, but I was at the hospital at the time he called and didn't think they would want me to be on the phone. Maybe Wed or Thursday if he goes in. Just let me know. Sorry I didn't get around to it earlier... I knew if we didn't see each other right after you got back that this was probably gonna happen. Sorry for the inconvenience. Not being able to drive since Nov. has really made things difficult!

Barb, I always say that when I buy a gift I will wrap it right away. That never happens. Even if I did do it that way I'm sure I'd have to return one or two things. Never easy, huh?! Heidi and I know about a cold WDW, too. Along with that trip came a cruise with getting off the ship in sweats at CC and no water play in Nassau. I have a funny feeling that we are going to replay that vacation again next month. Sorry you got sick. I hope and pray it doesn't turn as bad as the last time for you.

Julie, glad the foot is better. Do you have the under the arm type crutches or another kind. I saw Kelly Ripa on Live with Regis and Kelly have a different type that goes around he forearm and has a thing to hold on to. I thought those were cool because the underarm ones always make you so sore.

Denine, did the snow ever hit? We get those hyped upped fizzlers as well. I am usually disappointed since I love getting hit with the feet of snow. Call me crazy, I know.

Susan, sorry the guys lost. YIKES, your house was COLD. At least it wasn't the furnace.

We are going through a period of everything breaking. My underwater camera started it off, then the grill, next came the printer and now my laptop. All within a couple of weeks. I don't need this at Christmas time and a vacation a month later. Calgon take me away. I dropped off the laptop to be fixed for several reasons under warranty (thank goodness) today so I am on our desktop. It had a hard time getting on the internet as did the laptop so I am guessing our router needs to be replaced as well. We just can't catch a break.

I am having to bake for Ted's office THREE times this week. That's hard because I can't have anything. I mean I can but the points would kill me since I can only have 29 points. That is the least a person can have.

How is the weather today in Ohio? Burrrr I talk to a lot of Ohio people CSR's since I take tech support calls. Sounds like you guys were really getting hit yesterday.

Got my 2011 day planner pages yesterday so now I have a project in-between calls today. Planning out my 2011 year! Gotta make my cruise reservations today too. Going on a cruise with Jason, Michelle and Alana next Oct. YAY!!!

Sandy-How is the water aerobics going? I am going to try and go today. Between Disney and coming home sick I have not been for a couple of weeks.
