Oh Yeah. I did it right when I first got the inclination and mentioned it to you.
Just one more place to wear a diamond! I had it re-done a few weeks later though, it was just a little crooked and I'm just a lot picky. The second time was ouch. It looks great now and all I need is a tan!

Good luck on finding that airfare. Those airfare wars sure didn't last long this season.

OUCH !!! Actually, now that I think about it I did know. I remember the double piercing. Hmmmm, there is a good side to it! A diamond! Might have to do it too. Can you just picture someone like me with a big tummy sporting a diamond belly button? How grotesque (spelling)!!!!

SANDY: Good luck airfare shopping. It makes me crazy. Now as soon as I see a REASONABLE rate I book it! It used to be if you waited to the last minute you could sometimes get a really low rate but not any more. Too many airfare brokers or something. I booked my daughter's airfare from California for the Christmas holidays but had to send her back home 12/26 because the airfares doubled & tripled. Did manage to fly her into Atlantic City from LA for about $250.00 round trip.

BONNIE: You should have stopped in Ocean City. It was a really nice weekend. I am starting to hate Atlantic City but they do have a hockey team that plays in the Convention Center. That could be fun!

Really busy running around today and then back to work tomorrow & Thursday. Getting my nails & hair done on Friday for the wedding on Saturday at 11:30 AM can't wait! Have a great week. Toodles JEANNE

Expedia.com just rescued me. They had the same price today as I had earlier. I BOOKED it immediately. Can't believe that it changes so fast. Frontier stills has the same flights for 150.00 more. I love expedia. They are my new best friend. WDW here we come. No turning back now!

Here's the rundown on my trip to the beach:

Cloudy and misty on Friday when we got there. Walked on the beach anyway!! Sat in the jacuzzi and relaxed. Played a couple of board games on the balcony overlooking the beach since it got too yucky to wak out there.

Saturday, early morning walk on the beach in the mist and drizzle. Got a little wetter than I had hoped for. Went to the movies since the weather was now raining. Met my Mom, stepfather, and sister for drinks and hors d'ouvres and they sang happy birthday to me (I know it's a month away!). Did a little window shopping. Had drinks in the jacuzzi and called it a night.

Walked on the beach on Sunday morning in the fog but the sun came out and it got into the low 80s. What a glorious day at the beach. Walked more on the beach, swam in the pool, sat in the jacuzzi and then waked next door to my Mom's hotel room for a coupl e of bottles of champagne for my early birthday! Then the girls took me to dinner for my birthday! Back to the hotel and the jacuzzi one last time.

One last walk on the beach on Sunday morning and saw a beautiful sunrise! Really wanted to stay a few more days but had to leave to come home.

Now that's the way to celebrate my birthday without adding another year to my age!!

Today it was back to work and unpacking crates of files from the office move. Everything is now upacked but I can't find anything.

I sure did miss you all. Our one year anniversary for meeting each other is this Sunday. I'll be thinking of you all the entire day!! Not that a day doesn't go by that I don't think about my friends from the Oct. 19, 2002 cruise!

Susan, sounds like the weather didn't start out all that good but it sounded like it did in the end. It really sounded like a wonderful relaxing trip.

A day never goes by without me thinking of all my Disfamily either. We were very fortunate to meet such a wonderful group of people. People that I am happy to call family!

I just paid for my trip in Dec. I am so excited! It has been awhile since Ted and I have been there for several days. Lately, it has just been before or after a cruise for a few days.

Bob and I are going to Denver tonight to pick up my Mom and Dad I have been looking on the internet to find a fun restaurant to go to. I came across Bahama Breeze
I was looking at the menu and now I am sososo sad. All I can think of was Last year at this time......this was the first time we met in person Sandy & Ted and Lori & Ben and Katie!! Now I am really sad......last year this time.....lime green buttons.....

Sandy if you go on the cruise you HAVE to go on the Oct 16 one!! Since you are going to Disney with everyone else in December you HAVE to go on the cruise with us!!

Barb, you brought back some good memories. Bahama Breeze night. Lori and her great lime green buttons and the excitement of the cruise. Sorry, but I booked my cruise long time ago. I can't change. We got our favorite room. It will be our 3rd time in the exact same secret porthole room. Plus, we really, really want to go somewhere new. We love the added day at sea on the Eastern but we also cruise for the ports. Sooooo we chose the Western. Hopefully we will still have Jeanne, Joyce and Laurie and her family with us. Bonnie???????????? Lori????????????? Those are the only two that are contemplating that I know of. I keep saying that we want to do something other than Disney and what did we do but book another Disney vacation this Dec. I would really like to see the entire East Coast. Will I ever get to?? Not until I am willing to give up Disney for a year or so. I am really psyched because we have never been to MVMCP. We really aren't parade people but the whole night put together sounds like fun. And what better way to do it is with our DIS family! I am curious however how we will be able to hook up!

Better do some housework. YUCK!

Barb, I promised my Mom I'd help her with a dinner at her house tonight. (You can take the kids, though LOL)
We really should try for it next October. That would be some kind of record to actually pull it off. It's not like we wouldn't have enough time to book our calanders.

Sandy, you'll have a ball at WDW. It's in your veins. That's all there is to it. The rest of the East coast will just have to wait.

Barb - hope you have a good time at dinner tonight. Glad to hear Sally is coming home today. I have really missed her delightful posts. She always has little projects going on and it is so inspirational.

Sandy - I hope you did your exercising faithfully for Sally!!

Today was weigh in and I had only gained 0.2 pounds. Not bad for a week that included dinner out on my anniversary and a 4 day weekend at the beach with the girls!!

I sure hope Denine is having a great time! I also hope she stops in Charlotte and calls me. We always seem to miss each other but I sure would like to see them.

I sure do miss Julie and wish she would post again soon.

Jeanne - the Atlantic City hockey team is the Boardwalk Bullies and they are a major rival of my Charlotte Checkers. If you ever go to a game you must cheer the other team whoever they are!!

Lori - I do love my jacuzzi time!! How's the popcorn sales?? I do not envy you when all the popcorn comes in. The butter smell will linger forever!!!

I'm here. Having my morning coffee.

Tried to make ressies for Candlelight last night and couldn't get a table for 2 at Le Cellier....will try again today for the late show and see if I can get a table...they had a table for 4 at the time we wanted but not for 2. I really want to see it with Ben Vereen so very limited on the dates...either the 2nd or the 3rd.

I'll bet you miss your Jacuzzi Sue.

Sandy did you make the MVMCP for the 4th like the rest of us?

Yes Bonnie, my tickets are for 12-4 for MVMCP.

Lori, you put it perfect. Disney is in my veins. It is a happy place and after the huge breakup with Heidi and Stacey's wedding, I am sure I will be fine. Don't you worry, Susan. When and if I get to the East Coast all of you will be called!

All Stars doesn't have a jacuzzi. Does anyone have one that I can borrow?

Anxious to hear how Sally's cruise was. I would love to do a long one like that. Oh Ted, when do you retire?

Hi Sandy......it is nice to be home again although we had the most fantastic time.....l7 days on a cruise ship and loved all the stops.

I felt like a baby cruiser.....this was my 4th cruise and met people on their 54, 30, 6th this month.....and it went on and on....not a first timer on board that I heard of.

Going through the Panama Canal was really interesting and stopped at an island where the second smallest native tribe lived....5 foot and under....Dick said it was the first time in his life he felt tall.....

Discovered the world of jewerly and came home with a ruby, sapphire, tansinite (not sure of spelling) rings and emerald stones to make into a ring and earrings. I always have loved to colllect things and thought it was time I moved on from teddy bears..... And then I had to have a garnet necklace and earrings as it is my birth stone.....of course I had to lead Dick off the ship as he was still in a dazed condition.

Sandy I think you are still going to have to exercise for me, with me as I put on a few pounds but it was worth it. I had Dick take a picture of me in their gym on the treadmill (which I couldn't get turned on) and on the exercise bike. Looks good in the album but since I only went there once didn't really do much good.

When we docked in Fla. who was next to us but the Magic.....took a picture for Barb

What I found interesting the couple that was on their 54 cruise has been with Holland-America for 25 years and she said the fares have not changed that much. They have gone on other cruises but she said that H-A was their favorite. Their son and daughter was joining them in Fla and they were going on the next 7 day cruise before going home. They have their next cruise booked in the spring.

We met a man that worked on the Columbia space shuttle and he was still very upset over it....he said that was his baby and it should never have happened.

The weather was just about perfect except for the humidity...I don't do humidity very well.....and the sea was very, very calm.
All in all it was a perfect vacation.....

Looking forward to going to Disneyworld in Dec. I have so much to do now it will be a welcome break.

We now have to get our wood floor installed in the kitchen, the carpet in the living room and dining room, a new banister and the half wall finished. Of course Thanksgiving and Christmas has to fit in there too.....thank goodness Barb loves to have the family get togethers on holidays at her house. I told her I would cook here as she has to work and take it to her house for Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve......we are trying to cut down on the work on Christmas day as she leaves the next day for Fla.
We aren't sure if we are flying or driving yet.....

ok, time to unpack and start the laundry.....
