Good Morning!!

Sorry about not reporting on Kirk Camron. He is adorable still.
He looks like he is still in his early 20ies. He now has 6 children.
6,5,4,3,2, and 2 months!!!!! He married Chelsea Noble from the show and they have been married for 12 years. His talk was incredible. I am going to get the CD from the church and send it to Jason. He is an excellent speaker. Has any one seen the movies Left Behind?? He stars in those and his wife is Hattie. They are really good.

Did I tell you Mom, my sister Linda and 2 of my neices went to an all day Disney scrap book class on Saturday?? It was loads of fun and we made some really cute Disney pages!! There is another one in October that we are going to go to also. Just in time for our December Disney vacation!

Missy got another letter from Mike yesterday. This one was written on June 12. They seem to have the mail thing worked out. Before she was getting his letters a month after he wrote them and all out of date order. Still don't think he is getting the mail we are sending him though.

We went to see a sneak preview of Sinbad last night. Even though it is not Disney it was pretty good.

I am going to scrap book tonight. Tuesday is my only night off to do what I want to do. So I will be working on my Disney pages and dreaming on our next trip!!

Yesterday was another wonderful day! When the sun is shining and the temperature soars, so does my mood! I put kaleigh's saucer outside and let her play in it after lunch while I read my Vacation Magic (DVC newsletter). She was happy to be outside and so was I.
We went for a walk later after Jerry got home, plus I got to spend Kaleigh's afternoon nap outside. I got caught up on 2 months of nursing journals.
Jerry started cleaning the deck last night. He has to fill in some cracks with wood putty and then strip off the old stain. Then, i can put on the new stain.

Julie called last night, but I missed it. She left a message. I couldn't even be jealous when she said she was at Epcot soaking up the warmth. OK, maybe because she was in Epcot, but it was just as nice and warm here. It is supposed to be 89 today and 91 tomorrow!!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!!

Both Kaleigh and Jerry have doctor appointments this afternoon. I can't believe Kaleigh is going to be 9 months tomorrow. I think she only gets the one shot, her last hepatitis vaccine.

Hopefully we can go for another walk today and I can spend more time outside.

That is great about Garry and Anna Marie going on Mission Space. We could go August 1-3 if we were down there. We got a thing in the mail yesterday for annual passholders.

I can't believe Kirk Cameron has 6 kids!

Thought you might enjoy an update from Mike.

It is 130 degrees in Iraq. Our guys are really suffering with the intense heat. Looks like it may be into 2004 before Mike will get to come home. :(

Mike is in pretty good spirits. He said during mail call one guy does not get any mail so he wrote a letter to the guy and gave it to the mail guy so the next day the guy got a letter. Mike sleeps on his tank at night to help keep him cooler. He was begging for a game boy and a discman his got warn out.

Please keep him in your prayers. We are losing about one soldier a day.

Here I am again checking the board hoping hoping hoping for
some new posts. But it looks like it is just me allllll aloneeeee...

No problem I talk to myself on a regular basis so this time will not be any different.

I sure enjoyed reading my last posts! I must really be a terrific person. And loyal too!!

Hope to hear from me soon!!

VERY HOT TODAY!!!! Never happy!

Barb- Mom made it sound as if you didn't do much in the way of scrapbooking! As far as day posting...uhhh...some of us have to work!!! As I recall you are supposed to be working also! LOL! Sound like a true supervisor don't I?

Denine-happy to here you are happy with the weather. I came home and put on shorts and a T....don't like this heat.

One week and 2 days until I am in Chicago!!! YEA!!!!!!

It's hot, hot, hot, but I am not complaining. The sun is out!:sunny:

Had a busy day. JNESCO (the nurses union) had a strike vote today. We don't want to strike but the hospital has a total disrespect for it's employees including the nurses. Jan. 1st they just decided to take our Pension away. They offered a 401K but they decided they weren't going to contribute to our Pension anymore and, of course, we are the ones who do the contributing to the 401K.

I finally finished painting my furniture but the sweat was pouring off me. I weakened & turned the air conditioning on.

Dodger came home today & since he is supposedly a "snow dog" he really feels the heat.

Hope you all have the sun. Have a great week. Toodles:wave: :earsgirl:

Supposed to go to 98 today. YUK! May go swimming after work.

WHere are you Sue??? No morning coffee buddy...heck I would even take Garry at this point!

I think I will sing Sandy's song...Nobody loves me everybody hates me I'm goin' out to eat worms!

Or does anyone know this one? In my on little corner in my own little chair I can be whatever I want to be.
Do you know what show that is from?

Have a good day today....Barb! Do some work!!!

Good Morning!

Bonnie-I spend the entire day on the computer tied to a phone. Because the calls I take are already escalated they take longer and there are fewer of them. That is why I am able to email not because I am not working. I take a lot of abuse on the phone. I talk to people when they are really really angry and they don't hold back what they say to me.

I felt we did accomplish a lot on Saturday. We made about 8
Disney pages. I guess it didn't seem like as much to Mom but to me I worked the entire time on my pages and still did not finish all she had for us to do

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday. Half way through the work week.

This thread can't get much quieter!

Another beautiful day today!

Kaleigh is officially 9 months old. She weighs 18-1/2 pounds and is 27-1/2 inches long. She recieved her last hepatitis vaccine and didn't even cry! She does have a small umbilical hernia, which, as I figured is no big deal. It will correct itself in time. Kaleigh is in the 50th percentile for both height and weight, right in the middle.

We went for another walk.

I weighed in this morning and lost 2 pounds! My total is now 17 pounds. 3 more to go for my 1st goal!

I wish it could stay this way all summer! (Sorry Bonnie!)

Barb: Thanks for the update on Mike. Hopefully he will come home soon!

Jeanne: I hope you don't have to strike.

Jerry ordered the Mickey Christmas Party tickets today!!!!!

Hi. Just checking in. Good to hear from you all. Got to get prepped for "craft day" at the Medina's. We're doing sand painting on black tiles. Looks pretty cool. Only 8 of the usual 14 kids today due to various vacations, so that's nice.
Enjoy the warm weather.
("It's to cold, it's too wet, it's too hot") LOL Beautiful weather in Colorado, yeah. Lori

:sunny: :sunny: :sunny: HOT AND STICKY HERE!!!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Hi Everyone!! St. Maarten weather here today, buy some big thunderboomers probably tonight. I spent last night emptying my pantry, wiping down the shelves and reorganizing!! One of the big chores that I wanted to get accomplished this summer. It really feels good to be able to check something off of my list. Today is the linen closet. Boy do I lead an exciting life  !!

Tomorrow is John's Birthday and I am taking a half day vacation so hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can do something fun.

Barb -- I did see the movie Left Behind and have read the first three books. I hope to get to read Soul Harvest yet this summer.

Lori -- The sand art project sounds like fun!! If you have a digital camera send me a picture of one of the finished products if you have a chance. (And maybe the directions to do it!) I can't picture in my head how they will look  , but I am sure that it would be right up Kristen's alley. Or maybe something for Girl Scouts next year. The Lake Michigan beach is less than a mile from home so we have plenty of sand!! :p

I hope that everyone has a great day!! :jester:

I was only teasing you!

98 degrees here and I volunteered to bake beer bread for a party at work tomorrow...no air conditioning...boy, I sure didn't think! supposed to be 99 tomorrow.

Horrid day at work... too many problems!

Sorry, guys. Computer issues for a few days but been too busy with work to post anyway. Had to work late yesterday and then had a dinner meeting. I got home around 9:30, went to bed and started over again today.

Went to Weight Watchers today (weigh-in) and was pleasantly surprised that I had lost 2.6 pounds. I wasn't expecting that! Went to the pool for my water aerobics class this evening. Twenty minutes into it and they blew the whistels to close the pool since a kid had thrown up. The water felt great. I hated to leave. We have been in the 90s here too.

Turner has been working ahrd at hockey camp and he is worn out by the time he gets home. He didn't even want to go to the pool today. Two more days and he will be done.

I've missed you guys. I've read what I missed (light reading). I don't recall this few posts with us ever (except when there were technical difficulties getting on the site).

Everyone have a great evening. I'll be back on tomorrow (maybe for coffee, Bonnie)!!!

Poor Bonnie - no air conditioning. I am so happy to open the door & feel the cool breeze after walking the dog.

The nurses voted "Yes" for a strike & now it is up to the hospital & the Union to try and come to some agreement before 6/30/03. It seems like they are worlds apart. I always say I am one paycheck from being homeless; I may be testing that theory!

I am an album behind & can't get caught up. I do "modified" scrapbooking using all the free things collected on vacations. I still have not put together my Disney album from last December.

Kaleigh is such a big girl. You should be so proud Denine.

Keep the sun coming:sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: I can live with the humidity. Hope you all have a great remainder of the week. Toodles:wave: :earsgirl: JEANNE

Yeah, my craft day is done. Now I just drop the kids off to other people's houses for the rest of the summer. It went well. Laurie, I sent you the info on it.

Tomorrow is the last day I have to get my act together before the big family reunion/campout this Fri-Sun. Gotta work early Friday morning until noon, then we are on our way. The promise of little sleep for the next 3 nights is upon me. <sigh> I should get off the computer.

Glad everyone is keeping busy.

Jeanne, I hope you don't have to test that 'one paycheck to homelessness' theory! We'll have to think up some good ways for you to earn income, just in case. I love that retirement fund commercial where the little lady is selling cookies door to door in her little uniform dress. :p

I'm up early. I have a sinus headache and can't sleep.

Lori - enjoy your family camping weekend. Hope you have great weather.

Jeanne - 6/30 is so close. I'll be thinking about you and hope an agreement can be reached SOON!

Bonnie - I'm here for coffee. You know Garry is no substitue for me. Shame on you for thinking that!

Denine - your weight loss is great. You are an inspiration to me. I'm a little ways behind you but I will get to my goal!

Laurie - Tell John Happy Birthday. Hope you guys have a fun day.

Julie should be back soon. She is going to try to call me on her way back through here on Saturday. Hopefully, we will get to meet up.

Sandy is still camping.

Barb - thanks for sharing the news from Mike. I hope he stays safe and is home soon. Keep up you posts from work. I love reading them.

Sally - Don't ever think we don't want to hear about your day. We love your posts too. You amaze me with how much you do!

Where's Krista?

I'm gonna go back to bed for a little bit and see if this sinus medicine will kick in.

Later!

I hope your sinuses feel better.

Jeanne loves the heat???? YOu should see her by 1PM in Animal Kingdom! I am definitely not a lover of heat. The swimsuit goes in the car today for sure.

Lori- glad the crafting went well with the kids...pretty good system you have there with the other parents....what a good idea! Have fun at the family reunion...sounds like a lot of fun with all those people.

Happy Birthday John!!!!!!
Did you get those thunderstorms to cool it off?

Denine- KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!! I have to get back on my diet...we want pictures of the new Denine!

One week from right now I will be on my way to work!!! THen leave for Chicago!!! YEA~:Pinkbounc

4:30 A.M. Wake-up call to see if I wanted to work for "critica pay" but I have an Eye Dr. appt. at 2:00 P.M. & the dryer repairman is going to fix the dryer today.

Bonnie is absolutely right. Animal Kingdom heat gets to me EVERY TIME! I think I just missed the sun:sunny:so much that the heat isn't bothering me (but I am sitting in the air-conditioned house.

DENINE: You should be so proud of yourself & your weight loss. Only constant dieters (like myself) know how hard it is to loss weight & how EASY it is to gain it!

Have a truly great day. Toodles  :earsgirl: JEANNE

Finished my weight loss class yesterday and at the end of the 6 weeks I lost 9 pounds and 9 inches.......want to lose another 27 pounds....it will be hard with so much company but will try to stay on diet and then when they are all gone will be much easier.

Grandaughter in law and 2 kids got here yesterday and grandson is already here on business; other grandson and family from Austraila arrives today or tomorrow. My son in law gets here Monday and my son next Thursday.

The fourth we also celebrate my grandsons birthday and will have a cook out with 27 people plus.....my girls are wonderful about helping get things ready and cooking so that part isn't bad at all.

Today we are going to an eyelet class....Barb has to work so she can't go....Bonnie where did you get that Barb doesn't do much scrapbooking...she has been really good about it and has gotten quit a lot done...I am the one that hasn't gotten as much done as I would like......still working on my Dec cruise and Disneyworld. It seems all I do is copy pictures....have got some great pictures of the castle with different colored lights and one of the ship model in the terminal that makes it look like almost life size....

We are still getting rain thank God.....it rained almost all last night...yard and flowers still looking good although a lot are finished blooming....I haven't had the time to work in the yard like I would like too...just hope it doesn't get ahead of me. With 4 dogs here I clean up a lot...lol.

I have a full day ahead of me...Curves, class and scrapbooking...my daughter wants to scrapbook everyday unless we are shopping and I am about shopped out....never thought I would say that!

Did get my carpets shampooed and I dusted.....
that is going to have to do.....maybe with so many people around no one will notice any dust bunnies that gathers.

Better get my day started...Dick is waiting for his breakfast...

Have a great day everyone and thanks Susan, at least I know you read my posts...lol.

Good Morning Everyone!!

Ok question for all the nurses or Mothers that have had sick kids.

Bob has been sick for about a week. He has been hurting all over so bad at times he can hardly move. He has been breaking out in these pimple things. He has hugh canker sores in his mouth and his throat is so sore he can't eat. He went to this quack some people call a Doctor and was told he has bug bites and canker sores. Bob has been on medication for arthritis for years and all of a sudden it is not working. Last night we came to the conclusion that he has chicken pox. He has never had them and his "bug bites" are still coming. He has been running fever off and on. They don't itch at all though. I am at a loss
does anyone have any ideas what it could be?? He is going to another Dr on Tuesday.
