Let's see, where do I begin? We left at 4:45 AM on the 17th and arrived in WDW at 1:30 PM on the 18th. The front desk gave Kaleigh a balloon and some small kid magazine. We could swear that Kaleigh said "I've got a balloon" in Kaleigh speak. She loves ballons and really was trying to say the word while she had it. She is still ripping apart the magazine.
The first few days of the trip were just OK. Kaleigh was miserable with her teeth. She cut one of the top teeth before we left home and I didn't even know it. The other top tooth was right there, but didn't cut through until yesterday. The poor thing has been miserable! Plus, she was having some tummy trouble, so I kept feeding her applesauce and friut to get her back to normal. It worked. She was great the rest of the trip. We had a number of thunderstorms the first few days as well. Thay wouldn't have been a problem if kaleigh had been feeling better. The temperatures were great, upper 80's to low 90's.
Kaleigh absolutely loved WDW. She would scream uncontrollably in the room in the morning. We would leave the room and she would be fine the rest of the day, just to do it again the next morning. We discovered that she was ready to leave and wouldn't take no for an answer! She met Cinderella and Perla, and the Pooh gang. She was all smiles for everyone, but when it came to Pooh, she started squealing! She loves Pooh!
Kaleigh saw her first Spectromagic parade and loved it!
We were going to try to get together with my brother who was also down there, but it didn't work out. We did run into them at Epcot the day before they went home.
We had a 1 bedroom at OKW for most of the trip. On Saturday, we moved into a studio. Don't like those weekend points. We figured out that the studio next door was never occupied, so we asked if we could move to that room, no problem. Jerry got the key, opened the door and then opened the connecting doors. We moved right in. We had a 2 bedroom for the price of a studio for a short time.
We went to the Magic Kingdom Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. It was absolutely packed. We left in the early afternoon and people were still pouring in. Even so, we got a fast pass for the Jungle cruise, waited the hour and walked right on. Why people choose to wait in line is beyond me! We did a lot more rides with Kaleigh this time. She still fell asleep on Small World, but loved the Maelstrom in Norway.
We spent Memorial Day at a friends house in Lake Mary. Kaleigh went swimming for the 1st time and loved it.
We did a little house hunting on Friday. Found some nice places close to Disney, but they felt like they were a long way away. We wanted to do more, but we just didn't have the time.
This trip felt so short. We love the weather and just didn't want to leave. I almost cried as we walked out of the Magic Kingdom on Tuesday to head home. October seems a long way away.
We ate at Artist Point, Alfredo's and Mama Melroses. We enjoyed 2 ice cream cookie sandwiches at the Magic Kingdom and a yummy pretzel in Norway. We walked so much! I don't think we did too bad considereing how much we walked. However, I don't plan on weighing myself until next week!
I am sure there is more, but my brain is already fried since coming home. Kaleigh still wants to be in WDW (so do we), and her teeth are really hurting her. The tummy is messed up again. She doesn't even want her bottle, she keeps pushing it away and crying. I give her oragel before her bottle and some tylenol, but nothing seems to help this time. Who said the top teeth were easier?????
