JUst heard a teaser on the news...ticket price changes at WDW! They didn't say up or down...run to the mall and get the old ones if they are going up!!!! Not a good way to attract much needed business!

Back to work today. The next 2 months are going to be pretty hectic for me at work. I am facilitating long workshops each week and helping with some training workshops too. All of this in addition to the regular workload I have. At least homework "H-E-double hockey sticks" seems to be over. Turner has not been putting up much of a fuss the past few weeks and school is almost over so the amount of work is dwindling down.

The sun is out, my four-legged son is home & it is going to be a good day!

We have a BIG Union Meeting today at 1:00 P.M. & I saw that Bonnie wanted to strike because no one was posting but the nurses at my hospital may be striking in June. The hospital has NEVER accepted the Union & now that we are renegotiating our contract they refuse to negotiate in good faith. The nurses at Virtua would not strike just for salary but we will strike for a retirement plan. This year the hospital decided do stop contributing to our retirement. We all know we can't live on Social Security alone.

Good happy Monday!!

Thank you for the anniversary wishes. It was a fun
weekend. Friday we all went to see Finding Nemo. Even my Dad went. I am so happy he is doing more with the family. The new hearing aids are such a blessing. Sunday we went to church and had plans to go to the Zoo. It rained so we decided to delay the Zoo trip.

Disney is offering great prices to military but the offer ends Dec 19. Bummer we are not going until Dec 27. WIth Jason coming home from Korea and Jaymee going to be in Texas at school and Tiffany has a state cheer competion on Dec 13 there is no way I can change out plans.

Sandy I know Mom would agree to a barbeque. Her yard is absolutely beautiful in the summer it would be fun to have everyone there. Mom we need to talk!

Hello to all! You guys can't go on strike. I do remember a few of you not posting for days and then just a sentence. So-----just so you all know, we are back to our weekend camping trips so my posts will be limited to weekdays. You have to cover for me this time.

Happy anniversary to Barb and Bob. Sounds like you had a nice weekend. Barb, don't make it sound like I initiated the BBQ at your mom's. You invited the whole board. Remember????

Wow, Jeanne is back. Sorry you weren't up to posting. We missed you lots. If you ever need anything, Ted and I are here for you. Hi to Joyce.

Susan, you make me tired thinking of your work schedule. Take time out for yourself. I loved the idea of your sleepover. Would love to have one myself. Wouldn't it be great if we all lived closeby. I bet we could have one heck of a slumber party!!!!! Just no wine, you all know how Bonnie gets! Giggle, giggle.

I will never hear the end of the giggle giggle should Glenn decide to check out the thread! Hopefully he is too busy at work! Tried to get me giggly in SF but it didn't work for some reason...maybe I was too stress with having to pack and leave the next morning...it just made me mellow.

Busy day at work...I threatened to curl up into a fetal position! Didn't work...just like the threatened strike.

Nothing else new since this morning...have to look for my MC debit card...I am broke!!! No way to get money out of the bank for train fare!!! OH OH! Can't go to work tomorrow!

Bonnie talked to me about WDW in December and then I spoke with Joyce (since Bonnie has a beau) and she is in for the first week of December. How about the rest of you guys? A nice little get-together the first week of December in Disney doesn't that sound good! I know Julie, Garry & the kids are going.

It sounds like we may be striking. I will know more on June 12th and if they strike it will be June 22nd. It looks like I better start looking for a temporary job. Tomorrow night we are having a staff meeting because nobody at work knows what is going on since our Nurse Manager has been out for more than a month.

Lucy, I'm Home... 'n you've got some 'splainin to do.

Hi guys. The happy campers return. Laundry awaits, but I wanted to say Hi. This trip convinced me that our next trip has to include housekeeping services, a full size hot water heater and reliable plumbing. At the sites with full hookups, we were fine, but something leaked in the waste tank, and life didn't smell to great on the two nights that we had "dry sites." By yesterday, the RV had been renamed "The Sh-- bucket" LOL. The vacation was really perfect though. We got really pretty sites 8 out of 9 nights, the weather cooperated perfectly and the kids stayed within manageable health. We did Cliff dwelling hikes, rafting and 2 different horseback rides. One place we stayed is converting from a Dude ranch to a Golf resort so they hadn't advertised the horse rides much. We got a trip with just me and the kids and a totally cool guide. He let them try different stuff, trade off being the leader, etc. So much better than the usual nose to butt trail rides. The rivers are fast and high right now, so the rafting was exciting too. Mesa Verde was beautiful. They had fires a few years ago, so the colorful new growth contrasting with the burned trees looked pretty cool. Sort of a message about the circle of life in there. The black and white of the trees even matched the Anastazi black on white pottery style. Here's your 'learn a new thing every day' lesson ... The politically correct term for the inhabitants of the Mesa Verde cliff dwellings is now "Ancestral Puebloans". Bet your glad to know that!

I read thru the pages I missed. Funny story about the rabbit Sandy. Jeanne, don't worry about bringing us down! Our job is to bring you UP! Good for Bonnie for getting to you right away.
Glad Mike is OK. Happy Birthday to all May and June babies. Good to hear the updates from everyone who's been traveling and tending to parents.

Good Morning!

Sandy - it would be great if we all lived close enough for a 'sleepover' (no guys allowed!). We would have to include the wine, though. The giggles are worth it!

WDW the first week in December doesn't sound good unless you guys stay past the 6th. We will get back from the cruise on the 6th and would want to see you all too! Also, there's still time if any of you want to do the 11/29 cruise!!!

Lori - sounds like you had a good trip. Turner studied Mesa Verde in Social Studies earlier this year and I believe the term "Ancestral Puebloans" was used. I'l have to tell him you actually were there.

Jeanne - so glad you are back posting. When you're down, let us know. We're here for each other!

We may be there until the 7th...no definite plans yet...it all depends on airfare, hotel cost etc but you could meet us after the cruise on the 6th! I want to see someone do Rock N Roller Coaster with sea legs! LOL!

Good dreary morning. I am so glad it's June Mid 50's and rain all day. Julie, can I sneak in your bags back to Disney?

Sorry I didn't post yesterday. It was the first "normal" day since we got back and I had a ton of stuff to do. I wore myself out.

Julie: A big favor please! There is a Cinderella picture frame in WDW that I would like. I didn't want to buy it until I found out how the picture with Kaleigh and Cinderella turned out. It came out great and now I don't want to wait until October to get it. They have one of each Princess. It is a figurine holding a picture frame. Would you please get it for me and I will pay you back? It is around $20.
Also, I don't know which route you were thinking of taking to WDW, but 77 is the most direct. Whatever you do, don't take the Beltway through DC. There is a ton of construction. There was a sign on the road that said "find another way!"

Jeanne: Sorry to hear about the strike. Cleveland doesn't believe in unions. I wish they did. Maybe I could get a decent wage. They tried to start a union for the nursing assistants a few years ago at the place I worked. They were scared out of it. The nurses weren't allowed.

We will be in Disney in December; November 30th through December 9th. I am up for a reunion!

We really want to see Finding Nemo, I guess we need to find a babysitter so we can go see a Disney movie.

Jerry has a dentist appointment today and I have one on Thursday.

Sorry, no trip for us to WDW in December. Sounds so good however. We still need to recoup from the college and a wedding plus 2 cruises last year. If we win the lottery I will let you know and then we will join Susan on her cruise and then join you guys at WDW! Better start playing I guess.

Barb, just giving you a hard time. I have a feeling I made you feel bad.

Jeanne, sending you pixie dust in regards to the strike. I have always been gov't so never had to worry about that. I can't even imagine how to plan for strikes.

Wish I could go to the reunion in Dec!! Found out over the weekend that Disney is offering great military discounts that expire Dec 19!! Dang!! we won't be there until Dec 29. 5 day passes for $99 and Military members are free. Bob is military Jason is military and Mike is military!! But with Jaymee in college, Jason in Korea there is no way I can change our plans.

Welcome back Lori. Sounds like you had a aaaaaa interesting time.

My sister Linda is here visiting so I would guess we won't be hearing from Mom much. The two of them together are total shop til you drop.

Sandy would you really come down here if Mom had a barbeque??

Had lots of odds and ends to do this morning & finished them all!

I hope more and more names will be added to the December Reunion in WDW. Let's hope there is at least a few times we can all get together down there; it sounds like we all may be coming & going at different times. I think Joyce & I will be down there from 11/30/03 until 12/4 or 12/5/03 but, like Bonnie, it is dependent on the airfare, specials, etc.

One day of sun & it is raining AGAIN! This is now officially the Seattle of the East Coast.
