Good Morning Sandy, Denine and Lori!!

I am here too. I have not been posting lately. I have not been myself. With Jason leaving I have been very sad. It affected me way more then I ever expected.

Today is a new day and Jason is happy. I have received a few emails from him and he really seems to like it over there.

Besides I have new things to focus on. Jaymee's wedding in 2004, the cruise with many of my cruise buddies and my wonderful family and a surprise Disney vacation in December.

Bob is in Idaho this week doing firetraining. Jaymee is getting ready for Prom this weekend and graduation in a few weeks. We are planning a Hawiian Luau the day after graduation. Missy has received 2 letters from Mike in Iraq.

Hi Barb, I was sure concerned over you but I guessed right. I figured that you were sad. I just didn't want to "bug" you. When I was sad over the Bryan thing, I stayed away for awhile, also. Glad that you are doing better. That is really cool that Missy has received a couple of letters already! How is Tiffany doing about Prom? Isn't it funny what a Disney vacation can do for someone???? I wish ours wasn't so far off.

Way to go Susan! I am not going to weigh myself for awhile until the muscle weight catches up with the scale. I am afraid that I will be depressed.

Denine, sneak in on Saturday and take pics for us. I bet the house will be gorgeous! I can see Julie as a decorator on Trading Spaces.

Ok, where is everyone? I checked in earlier and read Sandy's post, but I couldn't believe that NO ELSE posted after her. I'm sorry to say that if Denine takes pictures, you will be sadly disappointed! Designer/home remodel-er I am not. I need Vern to help make my house look good!

Bonnie, Makenzie just loved talking to you the other night! She told my mother, father, my mom's fellow teachers, my sister in law and brother and even her pre school teachers today that she talked to her boat friend princess Bonnie! You made her night!

I'll try to get on the next night or so, but now it is crunch time to get the house ready for Makenzie's party! I don't want anyone to worry that I'm not posting. I will try to check in!

Happy Friday!!

I received a email from Jason today. He is doing very well so I feel much better. Everyone over there is in the same boat as he is with being so far away from family and they all have to live on base. He has made lots of friends already.

Thank you Sandy for your kind words. You always have a way of making me feel better. I am so thankful I have the support of my "family" both Disney and my wonderful blood family.

This weekend is Prom. Jaymee has an appointment to get a manicure and pedicure today and hairl and makeup tomorrow. I am going to do something special with Tiffany so she is not sad. I will be glad when this school year is over and she doesn't have to see the pond scum Nathan anymore. He has not been very nice to her.

Last night I made a Bridal bouquet out of silks for a really good friend of mine's daughter. The wedding is in a couple of weeks.
I have 2 blisters and a cut on my fingers now. Guess I am out of practice!

Nothing going on here. had a few storms this morning, but the sun is actually out right now. Haven't seen much of it lately.

Hoping to go to the zoo on Mother's Day. Mom's get in free and they have flowers and giveaways. It is supposed to rain though, so I don't know.

1 week from today, Kaleigh will be legally ours!!!

Rainy here...you would think it would help my allergies but no such luck...they weren't too bad until I got back to NJ...I do not like this state right now.

Not too much new around here. Spent the day arranging a lactation consultant, visiting nurse etc for my DIL. THe hospital really dropped the ball on thier case!!! Olivia is a little jaundiced, not feeding well...which could be due to the jaundice. She will have several visits from the RN now...thank heavens. I feel sorry for people who don't work in the insurance business...the hospitals blame everything on the health insurance co when it is really them that mess up. Ok...off my soapbox.

A very cold and dreary day here in Denver. We are expected to get snow overnight. Bryan graduates tomorrow at the University's stadium. Sure will be might cold. (snicker, snicker) Shame on me! Heidi is going with some friends but we made a decision NOT to attend and support his actions.

Heidi and I shopped all day and I mean all day. Right after Curves she got in my car and we have been going ever since. I am exhausted. Can't wait for graduation to be over. We all are looking forward to camping but I still have lots to do to prepare the trailer for Memorial Day. After that is the girls birthday. Oh my gosh, will shopping ever end???

Denine and Julie, have fun tomorrow. Ok, Denine. Guess the picture idea really wasn't a good one. (just report back to me) Julie, I like Vern, too.

Ok, let's pull Bonnie out. Just back from Turner's last night of hockey for the season. But, we left signing him up for a 2 day camp this weekend. Does it ever end???? He spent the night with a fellow player and we will meet them at the rink in the morning with his gear and clean clothes.

Sorry I haven't posetd in a few days. It has been crazy at work and lots to do at home. Nothing exciting; just laundry, etc. We have had 2 days in the upper 80s and it is just beautiful. Tomorrow is supposed to be more of the same.

Just heard about the shooting incident going on in Cleveland. Hope Garry doesn't have to get involved in any way. Hopefully, he is home right now.

My niece went home today and Dominic is in a warming incubator because he had trouble keeping his body temperature up. He is off the oxygen and taking in about 1/2 ounce with the rest going in the feeding tube. I'll keep you posted.

Bonnie: I completely understand your frustration with the hospital. I had a similar situation with my dad several years ago. He had some surgery and had a foley put in. They took it out and put it in several times because he couldn't go. He has MS, but doesn't usually have problems. Not only did his BP go way up from all the attempts (even though they said that's not what caused it), he ended up with a UTI. They decided to put it back in and leave it till his urology appointment. They did not send him home with a leg bag! How was he supposed to go about his daily life????? I told my mom what to get and then I went over there (with gastroenteritis, in major pain) and showed him how to transfer bags. I was so angry!!!!!! I never let anyone go home without a leg bag or instructions on how to use it. Now I will get down off my sopabox.

The hostage situation has been resolved at Case Western. I am sure Garry would not have been involved in any way. Apparently the guy had a beef with the university.

Had some nasty storms roll through last night and this morning. We are expecting more sever weather tonight with a chance of tornados. I certainly hope not.

Sandy: Heard Denver is supposed to get up to 6" of snow. Yuck!!!!!

Sue: Turner is definitely addicted to hockey. Maybe he will play professionally some day and we can say we knew him when!

I just found out yesterday that our neighbor 2 doors down was on Wheel of Fortune in December (that's when it aired). He won! He didn't get the bonus round because he didn't pick his wife's initials. They won a trip to some exclusive resort in Colorado. They were able to change it to Paradise Isalnd in the Bahamas. The only time this resort is open is December trhough mid-march. He told them that we just came off the 3rd worst winter and has no interest in snow. So, they let him switch it. Pretty cool, huh?

I have a little baby bunny outside my window. It is so cute!!!! I am a sucker for animals, even if they destroy everything in my yard.

We leave for Disney 1 week from today!!!!!!!

I'm checking in!! We had a good day today so far. Kristen won her soccer game and it didn't start to pour until we got packed up and to the car. A HUGE downpour for about 15 minutes....just enough time for us to drive across town, where it was NOT RAINING and watch my sister compete in a Special Olympics track meet. It was nice that a lot of our family were able to turn out to watch my sister, since my dad is no longer here. It really meant a lot to her. She placed 2nd in both of her event so she was thrilled!!

Tonight we are having John's parents for "Mother's Day Dinner" and we are throwing some filets on the grill. Tommorrow we are taking my mom out for dinner.

Bonnie --- I hope that everything settles down with the new princess. I know what you mean about the insurance companies blaming the hospital / doctors, and vice versa.....

Sandy -- Thanks for the pics!!! We love them!! The ones that I took at the Radisson didn't turn out as well as yours and we didn't have one with the ships at St. Thomas. So, these will definitely be hitting the scrapbook!!

Hey Sandy! Where are my St. Thomas pictures!!! LOL! You sent pictures to Laurie...what about your little middle sister!

Misse my mammo appt this morning! I thought it was for 10AM, I called at 8:45 to confirm and they told me it was at 8:30AM! Duh!! Where is my brain! So instead took my mom out to breakfast then off to an estate sale. Boy did I clean up there!!! Got a 5X6 throw rug for $5, a baby bouncing seat for Olivia if she ever visits for $4, a cute pin for $1, and a cloth plant basket for $1.50. Not too bad I think.

Besides that did not do too much today. Damp dreary day here. Off to see Olivia tomorrow!!! I can't wait!!! Mom and baby are doing much better...nurse was out Friday night and today...may be there tomorrow also I believe. I work for a darn good insurance company! LOL!

Turner had an exhausting day at hockey camp and has to be back at 8:00 tomorrow morning. They are really working those kids but they are having fun.

Went to dinner with my Dad and his girlfriend today. Nice not to have to prepare the meal tonight. He had some blood work last week and apparently his anemia has gotten worse. The doctor wants to see him Monday. I guess they'll increase his iron again.

We had another day in the upper 80s and lots of sunshine. Between the heat outside and the cold at the ice rink, I could never get comfortable today.

Hi, Laurie. Congrats to your sister's 2nd place finishes in the Special Olympics! So glad she had fun and had lots of family to cheer her on.

Bonnie - have fun with Olivia tomorrow. I sure wish I could hold Dominic. They say he has been opening his eyes some. I'm going to try to stop by to see him tomorrow if I can.

When does Krista come back from St. Thomas? I have been thinking about how much they must be having. I wish we could all be there with her.
