Lori: I have a recipe for a Hawaiian pork roast. It uses a pork shoulder, liquid smoke, soy sauce and bananas (unpeeled). You bake it in the oven. I also have several tropical dessert recipes.
The party sounds like fun!

LORI: That party sounds like so much fun! We all want to come.

BONNIE: So you finally agree to a "crown"!:p

It is really cold & miserable! I didn't want to get out of bed this morning because the heat wasn't on the house was so cold.

Hope you all have a great week but it is back to work tomorrow - Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday so if it is really slow I will lurk but it won't let me post at work. Toodles:wave: :earsgirl:JEANNE

Julie, Paul says 'Thanks'.

Denine - NO, I do NOT want to live in a 2 season area of the country! I'll stay here and try not to complain about the cool, damp spell we are having.

Bonnie - hope you were able to get in and have the tooth repaired.

Don't work too hard, Jeanne. Good to hear from you.

Lori - The luau sounds like a lot of fun. Glad Katie made it to school today, too!

Denine - Here's some nutritional info for Olive Garden. The points on the end are for weight watchers. I had lunch there Sat. and had the ministrone soup and salad and was very satisfied. I love the soup and salad there.

I had a class today that they said was until 12 noon...turned out to be until 4PM. I doubt they will be able to do anything about it! ALl that money down the drain! DO you think they would take a trade in? The old crown for a bridge? LOL!

Snow, freezing rain, rain, windy!!!!!! Is this the April fools joke???
I was almost Mary Poppins walking to the train this afternoon!

Denine: Feeling guilty about the food or getting someone to watch Kaleigh? I say get a sitter and treat yourself to a night out! If I was closer I would come over to watch her...may need the practice! LOL!

Sandy!!!! Where are you???? Did we wear you out Saturday night? Now what do I do with the rest of this wine? Pour down the sink I guess...I won't finish it.

Happy Birthday Paul!!!!!

Still can't see my avitar!!!!

Where is Sandy????

Lori call Sandy....this isn't like her....2 days already and no post!!!

Rather worried here. Where is everyone????

Hi guys, it's me. Don't have time to go back and read and just have enough time to say hello, I am fine. Time for the little one. Hope everyone is doing great.

Sue: Thanks for the info. The capellini pomodoro is my favorite! I just love fresh tomatos! I usually don't finish it, so if I cut back on the rest of my food today, it shouldn't be too bad.

Bonnie: If I could find someone to watch Kaleigh, I would. It is too hard during the week. It'll be easier when summer comes, then I can find some local girls. But, for now, it is still a school/work night for most people. Thanks for the offer ;)

Another cold, foggy day here. Game time temp will be 40 degrees and windy. Perfect for baseball!

Looks like Sandy surfaced on her own. Busy, busy, busy.

Denine. The pork roast sounds great. What do you do with the baked unpeeled bananas? Are they in there to add flavor during roasting, or do you get to eat them too? What kind of desserts? If you go to the trouble to type them up for me, then you can also email them to Julie for the recipe book. Such a deal, huh?

Any other luau ideas?

Later girls, have a great day everyone.

Speaking of the cookbook: I haven't heard anything about it in a long while. Where are we at on it?

Lori: If you make any if the recipes I have sent you, let me know how they are. I have made the pina colada squares and they are good. I have been wanting to try the pork roast, but don't have the occasion to feed that many people.

Ummm, that Pina Colada Cheesecake with the coconut crust looks very yummy. I might have to make one in advance (and eat it all myself) just to make sure it turns out OK.
Some of those recipies look like quite a bit of work. My cooking theory is- if it takes longer to make it than to eat it ... well, they had better appreciate it A LOT! The kitchen is not my favorite room of the house. I might try those squares. Thanks for getting them out so quick.

Oh my GOSH you guys! This talk must be killing you dieters! I'm sorry.
Think of all of the calories you are saving (by me eating your share) Heehe.;) I'll be sorry when swimsuit weather gets here. It snowed again last night, melted again this morning. THAT is how were are supposed to get our snow.

Lori: Even if I can't eat the stuff, I can dream about it. I love to bake! Most of my recipes are in a computer program, so I can just copy and paste them into an e-mail. I am glad I typed them in a few years ago, because there is no time now!

What the heck is going on here? Baking, cooking, parties??? Ah the single life!!! No baking, no cooking, no parties to plan!

But! I did find my spaghetti recipe!!! I make the worlds best sauce...lost the recipe hmmm...about 15 years ago!!! I haven't made it since I lost it! I will now make a pot full!! Anyone for dinner? Otherwise I will be eating it for months! LOL!

Sandy glad you surfaced! If briefly...

OK Laurie lurker, Krista, Diana, Mom has an excuse she is traveling...just can't keep her still. Barb, Patty! You have to step in for mom!

I am doing my best here. Hey! I was told that I can actually start acting like a supervisor!!!!

No post from me this morning - I never set the alrm clock and with daylight saving time change this weekend, I woke up 25 minutes before 1st bell at Turner's school. Quickly woke Paul up and told him to take Turner so I could jump in the shower. I was 45 minutes late for work today!!! I am NEVER that late!

Glad I ate dinner before logging in. I probably would have eaten way too much after hearing Lori carrying on. Glad you are offering to eat the calories for us, Lori. Tomorrow is weigh in day. Being on the Medral dosepak probably has not helped me this week but I am still a little optimistic. I think my clothes are stretching since they feel a little looser. Oh, wait, maybe I have lost enough to start noticing in my clothes!

I got my nails done today. Big deal since I am an off and on nail biter. I got acrylic to try to strengthen them. They feel funny but at least they do not look horrid!

Has anyone heard from Krista? I hope all went well at the doctor's yesterday. I have been thinking about her!

Well, enough from me for now. Have a great evening. Later!

Good Morning!!

I am still left Bonnie!! I think Patty is still loaded down with
tax stuff. Haven't heard from Mom since she left. :(

All the talk of food sounds good. Wish I took more time to cook. With such a busy schedule I look for the quickest receipes I can find. Pampered Chef is great for that!! I am making this pizza thing tonight from Pampered Chef. You would think I was the one selling it.

Susan I have been late to work too. I have decided I am not adjusting to the new time very well. I did finally make it in on time this morning. I set the time on Bob's alarm clock 5 minutes fast when he was gone last night.
Since I set my schedule by his in the morning I decided he needed to get up earlier so I would not be late anymore :p

My reservations are confirmed for Disney World in December. I am sooooo excited!!!

Barb

Let's try this again! As soon as I got to the posting page, my stupid computer lost my mouse, again! I had to reboot the stupid thing and start over!

I just watched the wonderful sight of Saddam's statue being pulled down! The Iraqi people were so happy! I can't beign to imagine tasting freedom for the 1st time in your life!

Dinner went well last night! I took plenty of toys to keep Kaleigh happy, and we actually got to eat in peace! We both ate too much! I ended up having the lobster spaghetti. I had such a taste for seafood. Jerry had the stuffed chicken parmesean.

I am just sick of this crappy weather. It is 34 and cloudy. For the ballgame yesterday, it was 22 with the windchill. I am sooooooo ready for vacation!

I forgot to weigh myself this morning. I will do it tomorrow.

Where are all you lurkers? I think Bonnie needs to send the Mountie out again.

Morning everyone!

I, too, watched Saddam's statue pulled down. It actually brought me to tears. I wish them all the best. Would love confirmation of Saddam's death however.

Barb, late to work, huh? Surprise, surprise!;)

A beautiful week ahead. In the high 70's. Time to aerate and fertilize the lawn.

Lori, how is Katie doing? Been thinking about her. The party sounds wonderful! Great planning. Not surprised in the least.

Denine, your dinner sounded so scrumptious. So glad that you got out and enjoyed yourself. I would love to have your pina colada cheesecake recipe and the pork roast. Care to share?

Susan, would love to have acrylic nails but can't justify the price when I don't work. I will enjoy them through you. My nails are sooo rubbery and chip and peel. I used to have beautiful nails, if I might say so myself. Don't know what happened.

Krista, how are things? Julie, what are you up to?

Bonnie, what can I say? Thanks!

I need your best diaper rash remedies!

Kaleigh has woken up poopy the last couple of mornings and now has a red, ouchy rash on her behind. I have her airing out right now and have been using desitin today. I will probably just use warm washcloths instead of the wipes for now.
Maybe, she will learn that it is not good to be poopy and will start to complain if she has a dirty diaper. I know during the day, but I don't know during the night unless I wake her up to check.

That is the best to help and to prevent diaper rash. Ryan's Godmother was a pediatric nurse and she told me to put it on with each diaper change...even if it wasn't red. Really helped to prevent it from happening. The one time he had it really bad mycolog helped almost overnight. I think that is by presciption still...oops! and I did it only because I had it in the house! A no no but he lived! LOL!

Anytime Sandy, Anytime...now if it only works with my other sister!!!! I can only pray.

Susan!!!! Are you still sleeping????

Barb...glad to see you out and about!
