Jeanne, I have found some info on the narrators for the candlelight procession. Nothing is confirmed but here is what I found....

"It has been reported on Disboards that the CP narrators confirmed for 2003 include: Andy Garcia, Ben Vereen, Rita Moreno, Steven Curtis Chapman, Edward James Olmos, Sandi Patti, Robbie Benson, and Gary Sinise. This is all still rumor, Disney has confirmed none of it, so far.

There is a rumor that Gary Sinise will be doing the Christmas-New Years slot. Sandi Patti's website has her scheduled to be at Epcot from 12/19 through 12/21. Ben Vereen's website reports that he will be at Epcot from 12/1 through 12/3. Hope this info helps with everyone's planning!"

It should be interesting to see if these people will actually be doing it. We saw Robert Urich narrate when we went the last time. He did a real good job!

TED, YOU HAVE TO GO TO DISNEY IN DEC. PLEAASEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Oh !!!!! Ben Vereen!!!!! I hope and pray he is doing it when we are there!!!! I got a kiss from him on Cape Cod when I was 8 month pregnant with Ryan!!! He accused me of swallowing a watermelon seed!!!

Ted: Lets see ...you can do without the CD player, Leather seats, seat warmer, Electric seats. No bed liner, no sun roof, Those Big tires can wait also...That may get you to WDW!!!!

Will be busy this weekend getting the house ready for next weekend. .....OH!!! I just noticed the new smilies!!!:wave2: Cool!:chat:

Have a good day all!

Good Morning and TGIF!

Everyone has been pretty quiet the past day or two. What gives??

Barb - how is Jaymee? Did they find out if she had a staph infection or was it something else? I've been thinking of you.

Tomorrow is my busy day with Fall Festival. Thankfully the weatherman is keeping the rain away.

I hope everyone has a great Friday and a great weekend.

Later!

Good Morning!

Still no word from Jaymee:(

Made reservations for Chef Mickey today. I am beginning to think I will never get to go to Cinderella's Table. No matter how early in the morning I call they are always booked! Maybe in October.

Looks like my weekend is full again. Going to a womens retreat tomorrow, Football game tonight, church and lunch on Sunday and inbetween cleaning the house and working on Christmas decorations.

I love these new smiley faces. :wave2:

Barb::MickeyMo

I tried to put a new smiley in yesterday, but I don't see it. They are so cute! :goodvibes

Yesterday tied the record for the earliest snowfall. We officially had .3 inches.

Ted: Who needs a new truck? What you really need is to go to WDW in December. :genie:

Kaleigh is feeling much better. princess:

I have to work this weekend, but it is the only weekend this month. I can't wait to get back to the 80's and sunshine!

Barb: I have never tried to make reservations for Cinderella's breakfast. We did have dinner there once. I am figuring once Kaleigh is older, we will try. I am thinking Pooh bear for December. I don't know yet.

Julie: You can come over this weekend any time past 10 AM to pick up the carseat. Also, I started a thread on the cruise board for 10-16-04. Only Barb has found it so far. If we can keep it towards the front, maybe we can meet some other people. :chat:

Just checking in. I'll cast my vote for Ted and Sandy going to Disney in Dec. Great BDay presents to each other!

Pretty cold here as Denine has said. Need to shop this weekend for long pants for Alina (oldest girl) as she has grown about 3 inches since she last wore long pants! My kids will be passing me up soon (I tell them it's not that big of a deal because I am only 5' 3/4"!)

love the new smilies :wave2:

better go finish my spreadsheets - 1st games on Saturday!

can't wait for.. :boat: :boat: :boat:

Denine, I posted on the other thread so we will see if anyone else joins Barb, you and me!:chat: I will try to make it over on Sat if that is ok. I will call before I stop if that is ok.

Bonnie, Garry said you don't have to clean this weekend for him. He doesn't mind a little mess when he visits next weekend!!:hyper:

Ok Ted, listen up:listen: , you have to go to Disney because if you don't that leaves Garry, Glenn and Jerry to put up with all of us chatty women:grouphug:! Now do you really want that to happen?

Susan have a great time this weekend! I will be thinking of you! It is suppose to be cool and wet up here:umbrella: so I hope you have great weather!

I don't want to shock anyone by posting.....especially the pregnant one (congratulations Julie and Garry!).....but I wanted to let everyone know about our grandbaby's condition. We very much appreciate all the concern and prayers from our Disney family. Barb has kept me updated and hinted a lot that I should post so I apologize for being such a slacker. Here's what I know about Dylan so far:

Julie called me from Lubbock this morning sobbing. Dylan's condition is called something that starts with "c" is all I understood. The cones and rods of his eyes are defective and he can't see in light. He squints bad when he's in the office so we figured the florescent lights bother him and the specialist today said he can't ever be in bright lights because it bleaches his vision out.

They have to take him to Baltimore for more testing. The doc said this condition is like a headache....there are several different kinds. There is no cure, and no treatment so I'm kind of at a loss as to why they have to go there. I'm assuming it will give them more info as to what to expect to happen in the future.

He will never be like a normal little boy playing in the sunshine, won't ever drive, or play sports, but he will always and forever be the same sweet little guy that he is now and will be very loved.

Julie and Anthony are understandably devastated about Dylan's diagnosis but they received yet another blow today. This condition is caused by a genetic "glitch" between Julie and Anthony and any child they have together will most likely have it.

Please continue to keep them all in your prayers.

Oh Patty, I am so sorry about poor little Dylan. I really am at a loss for words. Can he resort to sunglasses in the light and sunlight? The family will remain in our prayers.

I have never been to any Disney Christmas celebration other than the Osborne lights which WERE outstanding. Ok, please tell me all about the "Procession" and also MVMCP. I really do not know anything. Does it take tickets or reservations? Where is it? I am guessing Magic Kingdom. When are all of you planning to do it? Are you going as a group? Quite honestly, Christmas in WDW is beautiful BUT I just hate hearing Christmas music. I much prefer the Disney music at WDW. That is surprising as I LOVE Christmas music at home. What an old fuddy duddy!!!! I love Ben Vereen and I loved Robert Urich.

The new smileys are way too cute.::yes:: This smiley reminds me of Rupert on the new Survivor. pirate: This is what I want to always do. :boat:

Bye for now.

SO sorry to hear about Dylan Patty but good to hear from you. He may never drive a car or see in the sunlight etc but he will be normal...he will be what is normal for him. In a way growing up with the limited sight will be normal for him since he won't know any better. I wish I could offer more but it is amazing how children adapt. Maybe they can offer some sort of assistance in the hospital in Baltimore. I am assuming he will be going to someone associated with Johns Hopkins.

Now...on to WDW and the Candlelight Processional and MVMCP...the CP is a very large chorus...made up of WDW employees and High school choirs, a full orchestra and a celebrity narrator...the narrator tells the Christmas story interspersed with the music...it can be wonderful with the right narrator. Used to end with the Halleluiah chorus but now after that they sing let there be peace on earth...

MVMCP...I believe we are all going on the 4th. Snow (really soap bubbles) on Main Street, family picture, stage shows, rides open, parades with wooden soldiers...cookies and hot chocolate. Nedd I say more??? Come with us Sandy and Ted!!!

OOHHH!!! Garry is going to be here next weekend!!!!! Where will he be staying...maybe we'll run into him!

Bonnie, you invited him remember! You offered your place!:crowded: It might be a little crowded, but he said that's ok. He doesn't take up that much room!:earseek:

FUnny, I don't recall inviting Garry but if he wants to come out here he is certainly more than welcome. GLenn said it was very nice of Garry to volunteer to come out and paint the ceiliings, fix the sliding back door etc...I said "Are't the cruisers just the best!"
DOn't worry, we'll leave the key and plenty of food when we leave.
:moped: :moped:

Patty: I am so sorry to hear about Dylan. But, Like Bonnie said, that is all he will know, so it will be "normal" for him. I hope they are able to learn more in Baltimore.

Sandy: It sounds like you guys are closer to coming in December. MVMCP is a ticket event. You need to call and order them for December 4th. I don't remember if you can buy them once you are there. CP is beautiful! We had Angie Dickenson as a narrator. You can do a package with dinner and priority seating at the show in EPCOT. All priority seating means here is you are guaranteed a seat without waiting in line for an hour or more. You can choose from a number of restaurants now. We did France when we went in '97. I don't know what we are going to do this year. Kaleigh likes music, but I don't know if she will sit through a performance. I can't remember what kind of music was played in the parks. They played Christmas music in the resorts.
Remember the Christmas parade on TV? Well, that is the MVMCP parade. It is truly magical! :wizard:

Julie: We are home today and tommorrow. Jerry had to do some work from home this morning. He got called with a problem.

Hi guys, thanks for all your comments on the MVMCP and CP. We are getting closer to deciding BUT hit a brick wall today. No one in town has the truck we are looking for. We have to order it made for us. We are picky about the color and a few extras that we DON'T want. We got a quote from one dealership and another one said they can't do it until Monday. They said it would take 5-6 hours to do it. How strange. One did it in about 5 minutes. One isn't offering a 1000.00 rebate so we will have to wait and see. DARN so close but yet so far! We just put up for sale signs on the old truck and a neigbor drove by and thought that his sister in Arkansas might buy it. Wouldn't that be great?!

Lori, thanks for letting me drive around your neighborhood. I had never driven duelies before so was a little nervous to drive on Broadway. Honest, I really was driving carefully and watching out for Cody :earsboy: and Katie :earsgirl: .

Heidi is taking us out for Ted's birthday to a very nice place. I better go and change. Can't wear blue jeans, darn it!

Bonnie, Garry just wants to remind you that his job is a supervisor, so he will supervise the work YOU BOTH will be doing!:crazy2:

Denine, just got home and got your message. I will stop over tomorrow afternoon if that is ok. Like around 2:30ish - 3:00?
You can show me Kaleigh's halloween costumes. You are going to have so much fun at Disney being in costume! Did you and Jerry decide on costumes? Makenzie decided that she was going to Princess Aurora too. princess: We'll have to see the two girls together. It will be Princess Aurora and Mini me Aurora!:rotfl: She told us that the Big Guy will go as Prince Phillip! Anna Marie will have to be the witch! I told her that for the prince the witch costs, Anna Marie can go as something else! We had to get the costumes today and everyone in the disney store thought that they both were going to be cut going as Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip! The workers were so excited. I guess not everyone dresses their kids in the same "theme". I told them that it was Makenzie's idea as what each would go as, and they thought it was adorable. The Big Guy has the sword and shield and everything. We'll have to get all the kids together in their costumes and get some pictures!

Sandy, have a great time at dinner tonight! I say that if you don't get the quotes you want on monday, I say forgettaboutit! Go to Disney! You can always get a car, but when will you guys get the opportunity to go to WDW with half of the cruisers:boat:?

Susan, have you gotten a chance to catch your breathe yet? I sure hope everything is going well with your festival!

Patty, good to hear from you! I'm so sorry to hear about Dylan and his condition, but like the nurses have said, he will know that it is normal for him. He will adjust. Kids can do that so well now a days. Your family will still be in our thoughts and prayers.

Well, gonna go. Check back in later!

OH GENIE OF THE LAMP.........:genie: WHERE HAS DARREN GONE??????

Truck...sell the old and go to WDW! While you're down there maybe they will have what you want in Florida!

Julie...tell me why such a macho man such as Garry needs to have a woman deliver all his messages? :scratchin Also, he forgets that I am a supervisor also...in the corporate world so deligate, delagate deligate!

How cute!! Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip. No more "no wi" ?princess:

I don't understand. Do you mean no witch? Anna Marie will be with us for halloween, but I told her we will have to look into other costume ideas. We still might get her the witch, but I think that we can find one cheaper at one of the halloween stores. It might not be a "true" Disney costume, but it would work.

But then again, I'm going so who needs another witch?:teeth:

Garry has been busy packing for his visit that's why he hasn't posted. He is kept informed, plus he is supervising a bunch of idiots and doesn't have the time. Also, HIS supervisory position is based on senority and not just dumb luck:tongue: ! HE said that obviously you need to go back to supervisory 101 because he is deligating his authority by having me type his messages:laughing: ! He will be back and watch out!:duck:

No Wi is Snow White... that is how she pronounced it on the cruise when I told her she looked like Cinderella...at that time her favorite was snow white!

Lets see...Garry got his supervisory position through dumb luck and seniority. I got mine by being chosen over others, interview experience etc...which one has more clout? I think I will supervise his painting, fixing the sliding door, etc...

:bride: :groom: Happy Anniversary Patty and Ken!

The morning started out with my van being stranded at the ice rink. We seem to have a problem with the engine - it won't keep oil in it!!! I have to get it towed to the shop today or tomorrow. Couldn't deal with it yesterday so we left it there!!

The hockey game was our first loss of the season, 6-2. Our defense didn't give Turner a lot of help and the other team has a really awesome player that must be guarded at all times. He scored 5 of their 6 goals! Turner did have a few great saves but it wasn't enough! Ths other kid is awesome!

The Fall Festival was absolutely a success. The weather was wonderful and all the vendors for the rides and games showed up on time. The food was good and the set up looked great. Turner had a good time and that's all that matters - it was for the kids! Paul and I helped count tickets after the event and I bet we counted over 10,000 tickets into bunched of 50. One Mom poured wine for us as we did the counting. The wine had been in a wine pail she won in the silent auction and she shared it with all of us!! That was one expensive bottle of wine but she is the PTO president so she was doing it for a good cause.

Paul left early this morning to go to South Carolina but will be back Monday night.

I'll try to check back in later. I juts wanted to let you guys know I survived Saturday!!

Later!
