Oct. 16-23, 2010 - Bring Back the Magic

I am so mad at myself for forgetting to go in at midnight AND was awake!! I wanted brunch but not available so took the High Tea. What is that & is it worth it?

The Palo high tea and brunch sittings are now all greyed out. If you want those sittings you should get to the port early. As for Palo dinner, there are plenty available. Only Thursday (day at sea) have only the first sitting 6pm and later sittings 8pm+ still available. Therefore you have a good chance of getting ressies at the 75 day mark. Good luck to you.

Are the Brunches greyed out for only this round of reservation? Will they open up a few more spots for those of us who have to wait until Aug 2? Or are ALL the Brunches taken?

I guess we'll find out on Aug 2, and if so . . .will get to the port early and RUN (to where ever we need to run to) and see if we can get our time (our frineds already booked theirs).

Dang . .. this is getting stressful

We booked the morning Seven Mile Beach and the jeeps in Cozumel. We also got brunch for Sunday morning.

We got our Palo brunch for Sunday morning.

yay. got palo's for 18th (anniversary), parasailing at cc, 7-mile at caymen & tulum in cozumel (our BEST caribbean shore excursion ever on any cruiseline!! so good we're doing it again)

We were on the very first Tulum shore excursion back in 1999 when the Magic was diverted to Cozumel due to hurricane Floyd. It was fabulous!

They always hold some back for onboard booking but I know how stressful it can be to have to wait until you get to the port.

We got to the port very early and got boarding #1. We were able to book a brunch and dinner. You shouldn't have any problem if you get there very early.

We have never done the high tea, but here is a blurb from the web site:

Although subject to change, High Tea offerings may include:

* A Selection of Premium Teas
* High Tea Finger Sandwiches
* Warm scones and a Selection of Jams
* Chocolate Eclairs

Palo at High Tea also offers espresso, café latte, cappuccino, mineral water, café mocha, café mélange, sparkling water, and a full selection of wine and mixed drinks for an additional cost.

Yes but a 5 GTY, what do you know?????

When my inlaws decided they could go with us, we were looking for a cat 6 for them, like we did the last time.They were only 5 rooms down from us. We had put a 5 day hold on a cat 5 that suddenly popped up. A few days later, a 6 opened so I emailed DU and asked about switching the rooms and the best way to do it.

Our TA replied back that they had found the reservation for my inlaws, Roger and Joanne, and that they would try and work something out for the switch. I gave her my number and had her call me and we straightened that out same day. She had confused your reservation with my inlaws.

This is weird - when I look at Palo reservations, High Tea is grayed out and it says there are no more reservations although I still see brunch and dinner. :

High tea wasn't grayed out earlier today, but brunch was. . .goes to show that people change reservations all the time. Keep checking back and don't lose hope if the meal/time you want isn't available! Things do open up!

ETA: I just checked again, and high tea and dinner are available, but brunch is grayed out.
