Oct. 16-23, 2010 - Bring Back the Magic

When my inlaws decided they could go with us, we were looking for a cat 6 for them, like we did the last time. They were only 5 rooms down from us. We had put a 5 day hold on a cat 5 that suddenly popped up. A few days later, a 6 opened so I emailed DU and asked about switching the rooms and the best way to do it.

Our TA replied back that they had found the reservation for my inlaws, Roger and Joanne, and that they would try and work something out for the switch. I gave her my number and had her call me and we straightened that out same day. She had confused your reservation with my inlaws.

:rolleyes1

Too funny!! All that wa left was a 5 and a GTY so we don't have a room yet. I am hopind to get an upgrade to s disney suite.:rotfl:

I don't care where my room is so if they need to move us not a problem!!

I booked my Brunch at Paulo at 10:30 Sunday.:yay:Just what I wanted, but I did not have to stay up late here. PDT

I thought so too. I didnt make the connection until last night, when I saw a thread about DU, and went looking for a certain email.

We booked in Oct, and got one of the last Cat 6s, and are Gty also.Im happy if we stay where we are, but would be ecstatic if we got an upgrade.

Thanks, I'll let DH know about the Key West golf. He wants to golf on this trip, so if that's unavailable, I guess we'll have to switch to golfing in another port.

I would love to play golf on this trip but I can not waste 2 pieces of luggage for clubs. :lmao:

Hi everyone. Brand new to this thread (need to be added to roll call & FE participants) but I'm always on the camping board. Hope that DH & I can get Palo for the 18th, even though it's the first sea day & goes fast. It is for our anniversary. This is our 4th Disney cruise and number 5 is on the Dream in September 2011, with the "Fort Fiends" (camping board group). Can't wait for this one though!! :woohoo:

Welcome! We used to camp at WDW alot in the past. Now we are DVC memebers and enjoy the resorts. We still try to make it to Trails End for breakfast.

We have been in florida for 16 years, this old New Yorker will never say "fixin or y'all"

I have list most of my new york accent though.

Not really, you would never be mistaken for a southerner. :lmao::rotfl2:

Does anyone know if they have pin trading on the cruise. My son keeps asking me?

I beleive so. Pin trading really took off and its become a staple at the parks, resorts and ships. They usually have a designated time that you can meet the ships officers, and trade pins with them, along with other guests. If you happen to see someone walking around with a pin lanyard at anytime, you can stop them for a trade.

Couple of things will Im thinking.
1. Talked to DCL a few times within this last week.No one at reservations has heard where the Magic is going into drydock. They only know that she is going.I have a few friends that still work for Disney and Ill keep trying.

2.If anyone is going to be in the Orlando area prior to the cruise, stop at the Disney Character Wharehouse at the Prime Outlet mall, before our cruise if you are able to.We went there 2x this week and found a lot of DCL merchandise there, that was deeply discounted. I got my son the last Pirates in the Carribean baseball hat, thats normally 23.00 for 7.00 They had lots of other PITC merchandise, as well as regular DCL merchandise, such as polos, sweatshirts, shorts, pins etc. They have a pretty good selection of pins in general. They only downside,is that occasionally they only have certain sizes, though they do get shipments in almost daily. They also have selections from the parks, such as princess costumes, and jewlery.

There is pin trading on the ship. They have specific times in the lobby with the officers. There are two big boys (DH Tom and Dan of Dan and Nan) on this cruise that love to trade pins. He is welcome to come trade with them any time. :thumbsup2

We are hoping to go there before heading to Port Canaveral on Friday.

Since Im local were going to try and get there once a week or so. The stock changes almost daily.Im kicking myself. We were there last week, and there were several limited edition litographs, that were numbered and had a certification of authenticity, for like 5 bucks of Mickey snorkeling. Went back yesterday to get 1 and they were gone already.

Though I did get a few nice pins and a PITC flag for my drink. Dani (my fiance) asked me what I was going to do with it and I told her "I claim this drink for me."
