Excellent! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to have a boat drink with you :woohoo:

So sorry :sad2: but I'm sure you'll have a fabulous time on the Dream :boat:

Mommy27777
I am so sorry to hear this but you must be excited to be going on the Dream! And it's still not too far away either.

I'm not laughing. NJ gets brush fires too, just usually not this early in the summer.

I told that to a friend of mine down here and they didnt beleive me that NYC still has a lot of brush. All 5 boros.I knew NJ gets them since I used to go to Alpine several times a year to go camping with the scouts.Ive also seen recently a big brush fire that burned near Giants Stadium within the last 2 or 3 months

Hello everyone! It has been a long time since I have posted on here, but I have kept up from time to time. We have had this cruise booked forever it seems. We will be staying at CI&S on Friday night. I was lucky and got the Priceline deal earlier this year. This will be our third cruise. We had rebooked with Mommy2777 back in 2008. So sad they won't be with us this time, but I am looking forward to meeting lots of new friends. I will have my DH with me, my two DDs (9 and 11) and my mom.

Were staying at CIS also, My fiance, my DS wholl be 11, and my DD who is 9, and my fils

Hey Truck, I guess we may see you around. We will probably be hanging out at the pool on Friday night.

Some of us are doing lunch at Giradelli's if you are in the neighborhood!!

We definitely still want to do this. Let the party begin!! :woohoo:

Hmm. Must have missed a post or 3.

Party On!

Wanted to tie this all together in one post.

For anyone who is around the World on Friday, 10/15, there are a bunch of people meeting for lunch at Ghirardelli in The Marketplace. Great way to start your vacation - ice cream for lunch :rotfl:

For people staying out at the Port, either at the Radisson or CI&S, there are a bunch of us meeting for dinner at Grills. As we get a little closer to the date, we'll get a headcount so we can call ahead and not surprise them.

I know some people like to get up at 3 AM and watch the Magic come back into port, but there is a real good chance that she will already be there :yay: since she is coming out of drydock for this cruise. So we can sleep a little later :faint:

Good Morning All

We so ready to have everybody back together again and be able to meet some new friends.
Coconunt Shrimp at Grills and Drinks by the pool at the Raddison with our cruising pals it can't get any better. Oh yes it can when we get onboard the party begins.

Like I said we will definitely join the party at the Radisson on Friday - could you just tell this confused newbie once more what "Grills" is, is that at the Radisson or somewhere in town?

I bet I could even have managed getting up at 3.00 in the morning - perfect thing to do when you've just flown in from Europe as with the jetlag, my inner clock will tell me it's 9 a.m. then ;)
When will the Magic probably come in from drydock, though - does anyone know? As we will be in Port Canaveral from Thursday (giving us one more day to acclimatize, coming from cool German fall) we might still see her come in.

Speaking of acclimatizing - summer has now truly arrived here in Germany, and I am slowly baking here! I caught a cold last weekend, probabyly from one of our guests at the garden party, and I'm still running a bit of a temperature. Can't tell you how unpleasant that it with 95 F outside, and me stuck in the house and supposed to stay in bed or on the couch! It is simply too hot!

((A few words on Northern Germany for those of you interested: Please don't laugh at me complaining about a measly 95 F :). It hardly ever gets very hot here in summer. Usually, a great summer to make us happy would have a few months of little rain and temperatures in the high seventies. Therefore, NOBODY has air condition in their homes. Very few offices are air-conditioned either (mine isn't, for example).

Some cars have AC - ours does, but not all of them - so friends who were going to visit us tomorrow have now cancelled as they would have to drive for a couple of hours and they can't do that to their DD2 in a hot car :sad1:.

So here I am moving about my home at a snails' pace in the semi-dark, all curtains closed, everything slowed down to minimum speed, my cats lying flat on the kitchen tiles wishing for winter. I feel like I'm in the Mediterranean, except for the very minor setback that there's no ocean within walking distance!:lmao:))

If anyone is interested in seeing a few pictures of what this current heat wave looks and feels like in Germany, have a look at this picture gallery a big German news magazine has put together:

Good morning to you too! Sounds great - I can almost taste that shrimp (except that I can't really taste anything much at the moment because of my cold ;))

Hang in there Annichan the heat will pass. Patrick too is complaining, He has no screens in his apt so he doesn't like opening his windows!!

Grills is a restaurant on the water in the port. The have great shrimp.

So where are you staying?:lmao:

we're camping at the Park over by Grills. we're going to camp out because we spent every $$ we had just to get on that ship with you fine folks.:grouphug:;)

we'll be mooching free drinks off of Kathy all week. (she's loaded you know)

Finally after 10 or so days of having my cold all though my doctor said I had some sort of alergy Pine or some other. He had me on an inhaler. Well Im finally back to normal. I think it was a head cold that landed on my chest.
I usually get one cold a year and I hope this was it. I know 7 days on a certin Disney ship will cure most anything:lmao::lmao::lmao::woohoo::woohoo::dance3::dance3::dance3:.

Sounds like everyone is making plans for lunch/dinner on the 15th. Unfortunately, we will still be "hanging in the sky" at lunch time and won't be at the port until Saturday morning . . .so we hope to meet you all at the terminal or on the ship at some point. ;)

Have a great weekend :cheer2:
