Speaking of acclimatizing - summer has now truly arrived here in Germany, and I am slowly baking here! I caught a cold last weekend, probabyly from one of our guests at the garden party, and I'm still running a bit of a temperature. Can't tell you how unpleasant that it with 95 F outside, and me stuck in the house and supposed to stay in bed or on the couch! It is simply too hot!

((A few words on Northern Germany for those of you interested: Please don't laugh at me complaining about a measly 95 F :). It hardly ever gets very hot here in summer. Usually, a great summer to make us happy would have a few months of little rain and temperatures in the high seventies. Therefore, NOBODY has air condition in their homes. Very few offices are air-conditioned either (mine isn't, for example).

Some cars have AC - ours does, but not all of them - so friends who were going to visit us tomorrow have now cancelled as they would have to drive for a couple of hours and they can't do that to their DD2 in a hot car :sad1:.

So here I am moving about my home at a snails' pace in the semi-dark, all curtains closed, everything slowed down to minimum speed, my cats lying flat on the kitchen tiles wishing for winter. I feel like I'm in the Mediterranean, except for the very minor setback that there's no ocean within walking distance!:lmao:))

:goodvibes My co-worker is in Frankfurt Germany right now to attend her son's wedding. She has been sending pictures and the weather looks to be beautiful this past week :thumbsup2

And for the record . . .I'm with Annika :beach: 95 F is HOT for us too! ;) Right now, it's POURING RAIN outside. Really (really) getting tired of the liquid sunshine!!! :headache:

We have our first day of sun all week!!! It will be 95 before noon!!

Good to see all the chatter this week! :thumbsup2
We have . . .

FRIDAY's until we sail :boat:
(numbers are in honor of the American Independence Holiday 4th of July :thumbsup2)

Sounds like everyone is making plans for lunch/dinner on the 15th. Unfortunately, we will still be "hanging in the sky" at lunch time and won't be at the port until Saturday morning . . .so we hope to meet you all at the terminal or on the ship at some point. ;)

Have a great weekend :cheer2:

Yahoo!!!!!

When will the Magic probably come in from drydock, though - does anyone know? As we will be in Port Canaveral from Thursday (giving us one more day to acclimatize, coming from cool German fall) we might still see her come in.

I've been wondering the same thing :confused3 - anyone have a guess as to when the Magic might be back in Port Canaveral???

we're camping at the Park over by Grills. we're going to camp out because we spent every $$ we had just to get on that ship with you fine folks.:grouphug:;)

we'll be mooching free drinks off of Kathy all week. (she's loaded you know)

Oh, so my secret is out  Actually, it would be worth a few drinks (or strawberry smoothies) just to see you guys :grouphug:

Finally after 10 or so days of having my cold all though my doctor said I had some sort of alergy Pine or some other. He had me on an inhaler. Well Im finally back to normal. I think it was a head cold that landed on my chest.
I usually get one cold a year and I hope this was it. I know 7 days on a certin Disney ship will cure most anything:lmao::lmao::dance3::dance3::dance3:.

I have an allergy to cedar (pollinates in MARCH ) which took a long time and the right allergist to diagnose. There aren't many people who are allergic to evergreens, so some doctors don't test for it.

I am bringing the blender!!!! So at the Raddisson we will have free drinks if you want a frozen one!!

Woo hoo :woohoo: You guys kill me with the traveling blender! :rotfl2:

Love the patriotic countdown numbers! :thumbsup2

I just assumed we would have some sort of meet when we got on the ship, after the life boat drill or at least at the Sailaway Party party:

Annika - If you aren't feeling well, now would be a good time to start brushing up on Jimmy Buffet tunes. :rolleyes1 It's hard to be in a bad mood while listening to Jimmy :beach:

I will be happy to do the FE stuff if someone else hasn't been lined up. Didn't see a volunteer but could have missed it. :)

I called the cruise lines this afternoon. We ARE LINKED. The rep said there were 7 of us linked. She did specifically say you are linked to the Labbe's.
I did send you the info we were talking about this morning. It sounds like you won't need it.
