Thanks everyone for the compliments!
pperfect...nothing wrong with GWL! I hope to go there someday!
I will confess I am not much of a party person myself (Ron is rolling his eyes at this one cause I disguise it well
) But really the only reason we are having such a big one is because of all the neices and nephews. There are a lot of them and they are all young and at Christmas they tore up my house (in the kids rooms they got all the games out and all of the pieces for like 20 borad games were scattered EVERYWHERE) And I simply was not up to having them all in the house and having to watch them so closely when I want to be able to focus on Sarah enjoying her party. MY older ones are 9 and 8..the neices and nephews are 7, 6, 5, 4, 3 and then Sarah who is 1. This way we take 'em to the water park and I don't have to worry about them destroying everything..
The past couple of years we have been just taking the older kids over to WDW for their birthday instead of a party and that is awesome!!!
I do coupons moderately. I don't have a lot of time to put into it though and it does take some effort (the clipping, organizing, and then purging the expired ones). I used to just do it every Sunday now I just do it when I can. The couponizer is really neat I had no idea there was anything out there like that! I just use a little expandable plastic clutch that has divided tabs. I divide mine into these categories: Toiletries/Beauty, Cleaning/Laundry, Pet, Baby, Desserts/Sweets (that's an important one
), Grocery/Shelf (non-perishables and such like cereals..the things you find in the middle shelves of the store), Beverages, Dairy/Produce, Frozen, Misc., and Fast Foods. We don't use them as much as I would like but when I do put forth the effort to make the list and utilize the coupons to the max we can save a decent chunk ($10-as much as $30 on a really good trip).
Everyone do the stop-rain dance for me! I'm glad we are finally getting relief for the drought but I don't want the party rained out.
