Oct. 15, 2006 (4 nights on the "New" Wonder)

we would love to see you get married to Kelly but we will be with you to help you celebreate the Disneymoon.

Alie I hope you have a great time, I am so envious but never mind we will be there soon.

Really glad you enjoyed the DVD Linda it is great isn't it, very informative and it makes you so excited !! Whenever I am having an "its so far away" moment I watch the DVD and also the ones that we have made ourself at WDW, it always perks me up ..

I always have a Birthday weekend too, even if my birthday falls midweek LOL, never need any excuse to celebrate ....

Last night we got an Indian takeaway and caught up with some things we had sky plussed with a bottle of wine (or two) !! Ian is working this morning so I have caught up on some housework... This evening we are going for a meal and drinks at our friends who will also be going to Orlando in COtober (the ones who are doing Vegas too), so I am sure there will be lots of Disney chat going on, they were trying to persuade us to do Halloween Horror Night at Univerval with them but I am afraid I am to much of a wimop, I will stick with MNSSHP. Also Ian has heard that these nights have got a bit rough - have you heard anythign about that being a local Jane ? We have to get Hard Rock T-shirts for our friends from Nassau and they are going to get us Vegas ones and then Swap ... I dont mind I like to go to the Hard Rock it is a nice excuse for a cocktail, we also plan to pop to Senor Frog as we like it there very much, What is everyone else doing on Nassau Day, we hope to get a taxi to Atlantis to do some gambling, Ian reckons I am so daft at it that I will win some money as I won't know when I am taking risks !!

Jules we hope to pop over to have a look around Atlantis too, and do some gambling. Depending on how we feel with the club and how E goes, we MIGHT leave her on board in the club for a few hours. Im not tooo sure, if it was the last day I might be more keen. I just want her to get settled!
I want to pop in to Senor Frogs too, and the Del sol shop for a couple of T shirts!
I ve heared HHN is def for over 18s only!!! I dont know about "rough" but cos booze is sold, I guess there could be more high jinx. We are at the RPR on Fri and Sat 20th and 21st both HHN nights, but we arent going of course.

Wayne soooooooooooo wants the Sky plus thingy, I said after the holidy. so we have canceled NTL for when we leave about the 5th Oct it goes I think, then Sky will be put in on our return. It sounds fab, is it ???

What is Sky Plus? For the television...like a Tivo? It records tv to watch whenever you want?

For Nassau we plan to briefly check out the straw market, then walk to the pirate museum and I'd like to go to senor frogs too. Two of my brothers go to Cancun quite a bit and go to the one there so I need to check one out too!

After that we'll just get back on the ship. I think we have our rasul scheduled for later that afternoon.

A bit of a bummer last night. Jacob was stopping to get us some dinner at the supper club in town and then stopped in the gas station to grab some drinks and while he was inside some idiot (likely a drunk idiot) backed into his car! :( So both driver side doors are dented and paint scratched badly. Luckily his door still opens and shuts. What a pain now to get it fixed up asap....and hopefully no trouble with insurance.

Kelly Sky box sounds like your Tivo .................... im excited, apparently it records on Hard drive, any programme you have watched previoulsy, like so it knows what you might forget to record!!! :thumbsup2

Sorry to hear about jakes car,at least he is OK. Fingers crossed for the insurance.............. L x

we love our sky plus box, it does sound like your Tivo Kelly. when we first got it I was very unimpressed as the engineer left wires trailing everywhere, now I would nt be without it cos we can series link it to record everyweek so we never forget our favourites. You must get it after the cruise Linda you will be happy with it.

Sorry to hear about the car, Kelly. as long as Jake is ok though .... it is a pain thought isn't it ? what is a supper shop Kelly ?

just got in from wedding reception, had great fun !!! its 1am here, off to work at 7am YIKES!!!! wanted to bump us up, as we were ALMOST on page two!!

Hi everyone!

I posted a question about what DH and I should do about our Palo reservation and was invited to join this thread since we, too, will be joining you on the October 15th 4 night cruise on the Wonder! We are getting so excited! So who we are...

Myself and DH have two girls, ages 6 and 3. We will be traveling with DH's family...his sister's family and his parents. Prior to the cruise we will be staying at the Boardwalk using our DVC points for a quick 4-night stay. The cruise is actually in celebration of my father-in-law's retirement, and he wanted to take us all on a cruise to help celebrate!

This is our first cruise ever so are a little overwhelmed with everything there is to do, but of course these boards are awesome!! We're starting to put together our "to-do" lists of all the things we need to do to get ready, which of course is very exciting! We were able to get Palo for dinner and brunch, and have booked the Dolphin Encounter in Nassau. Other than that we don't have anything in particular that we have lined up. Of course there are a lot of great activities for the girls in the Oceaneer Lab, so we'll be sure to find something fun for them to do. We're still undecided on dressing up for Pirate Night, but if we're going to we need to get on it! ;)

So what time is everyone getting to the port? Does anyone know how long should we allow to get there from Disney World? We currently have reservations at the Bibbity Boppity Boutique in DTD for the girls at 9:30, but we may end up cancelling. I don't want to get on board too much after they initially let people on so we can take advantage of the "lighter" crowds. I think we're going to use a towncar/limo service, so we should be able to get to the port sooner than if we were to use Disney's transportation.

Anyways, thanks for inviting me to the link. I look forward to hearing about everyone else's plans! :)

Take care,
Amy

Glad the wedding reception went well, sounds like you had a good time, we had a nice evening also ...

Hi Amy :wave2: welcome, so glad that you found us, there will be quite a few of you travelling then, and with some little ones more mates for Ellie. I'm Jules and I live in South Wales, I will be cruising with my DH Ian and of course all the friends I have made on this board. We have no children so it is just the two of us ....

We have booked brunch at Palo but not dinner, and also the Rasul at the Spa, we haven't booked any excursions but we did the Dolphon Enclounter last year and I am sure you will love it, its great fun. We plan on going to Atlantis, Hard Rock, Senor Frog and the Straw Market at Nassau and just lounging at Serenity Bay when at Castaway Cay. On our day at sea we want to just chill we have our spa treamtent and brunch booked for this day and also want to do wine tasting  We will be dressing up for Pirate Night which we are really looking forward to ...

I think that it will take you about an hour to get to Port from WDW, we used a limo on our first cruise and it was great.

We will be spening two nights at All Star Movies before the crusie and eleven nights at Sasratoga Springs after the cruise using our DVC points. This is our third cruise so we have the bug ...

It is lovely to meet you and I hope that you keep chatting with us, we really are a chatty bunch

We live in Swindon, England. Its our first cruise as a family, ( I've cruise before, not with DCL, and with girl friends)
We are staying in a villa for 21 nights, with the 4 night cruise in the middle , we are laso doing 2 nights at RPR to get FOTL access :cool1:

We are dressing up for pirate night, not in major posh costumes, bandanas earing, stripey shirt etc.............. i might even pencil a moustache on me !!!! Elouise is Cap Hook! :)
We are on second late dinner sitting.

We have no trips booked, but looking foward to having a nose around Atlantis and straw market, and perhaps a cocktail in Senor Frogs.!!!
At CC I think we are just going to chill and take it all in :)

Elouise is excited to use the club, and now we have a dvd planner ( thanks jules :thumbsup2 ) Elouise is keen to watch "her bit" every night.

Welcome to our thread! :welcome:

Hi again,

Thanks for the warm welcome! :goodvibes Our family is from Northern California, about 3 hours north of San Francisco. We've done Disney World with the girls two other times, so we at least feel like we know what to do, where to go, etc when it comes to that part of our vacation, but as for the cruise, there is so much we don't know, but of course the DIS has been great!

Anyways, thanks again for the welcome!

Take care,
Amy

Hi Amy :wave2:

I'm Kelly and I'll be honeymooning with my soon-to-be husband Jake. We're spending the first 4 nights at Disney World and then on to the cruise via towncar. We'll be arriving at port around 11. We also have the rasul at the spa planned and have booked Palo for brunch. We have the Stingray excursion booked for Castaway Cay which we're both super excited about.
Your group sounds fun, I'd love to get more of my family to travel with us (not on our honeymoon but in the future haha) but my parents don't go anywhere lol :confused3

Remembering the victims of 9/11 today.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just hope everyone takes a bit of time out today to remember all the innocent victims of the 9/11 attacks, both the deceased and their families and friends.
The terrible pictures of that tragedy are still as shocking today as they were when it happened.
RIP.

We are always very touched by this terible event, as Wayne took me to Windows of the World resturant at the top of one of the towers for our first wedding anniversary. I was soooo happy, the people so wonderful to us. It made it extra sad to think such lovely innocent people had been killed.

Group hug please :grouphug:

Well done .What a great idea......... now after a couple of cocktails dont expect me to remember all that :teeth: :rotfl2:

great list Jane, its not until you see it that you realise how many of us there are ...

Linda I am so with you on your sentiments regarding 09/11, big hugs to everyone today ...

That IS quite a list! I certainy couldn't have been so accurate. Very good job Jane! I hope there will not be an quiz/exam on that. :rotfl:

Hi Amy. Welcome! :wave2:

I never saw the towers in person Linda, but I'm sure that would make the 9/11 tragedies even worse. Even seeing it on television is so sad. :grouphug:

Great job on the list Jane. It didn't seem like there were that many of us til it's all written out like that.

I'm stuffed and tired! My mom made a big birthday feast for me...then my nephews stopped over to give me their cards that they made for me - too cute with pictures of me and them drawn swimming and playing in the snow and all that. And they each taped an awful sour candy worm to the cards so of course I had to be polite and try them. Ewww! And they brought me a Spongebob bday party hat haha. it was cute.

Now I have to work :( there should be a rule about not having to work at all on birthdays!
