Happy Anniversary Jules and Ian

I am very excited that we will likely see Davey Jones ship! Now that I have seen what it looks like. Someone told me that they filmed the second and third Pirates movie at the same time like they did with the Lord of the Rings movies. I don't know if that is true.

Alie, your post turned out fine. How is everything with you? Your grandma and I talked about you this weekend. Whenever we saw cute clothes when we were shopping we would say " Alie would look cute in that!" princess:

We are coming up for 8 this Novemeber.

Ali your posts were fine, its nice to hear from you :)

Kelly wow great bargain for the dress, what colour is it ? how old is your flower girl?

We havent see Pirates yet, we thought we might wait to see it on the ship? Now Im wondering if to get a babysitter and go before hand.

Its my Birthday Monday, Sat night we have friends over for dinner. Im not sure what to cook yet. But Im making raspberry and strawberry mini pavalovas with double cream that has a hint of Grand Marnier (sp?) in. So im going to do a trial run today to check it works and tastes ok.

I read on a trip report about an 80s disco !! party: NOW i'm REALLY up for that! Is it 80s european music or american? Wonder what night its on? I use to love Adam and the Ants, Duran Duran, etc anyone else up for a boogie?

Hi

You are right Linda, if I'd bumped him off, I would have been out by now :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Will have to remember to send you lots of b'day wishes on Monday, your plans for Saturday sound lovely, I love pavlova, sounds even better with Grand Marnier :Pinkbounc

There was an 80's disco on our last cruise, can't remember which night, I think it may have been the first night, it was in Wavebands, a mix of music, and the crew members who are charge of entertainment dressed up in 80's gear and outrageous wigs etc, they did tributes to Madonna, Prince and Michael Jackson from what I can remember, but there was a good mixture of music ... I also loved Duran Duran, we went to see them last December and they were great ..

Boogie Boogie  :dance3: :dancer: :rockband: :music:

Chips

(salt & vinegar are my favorite!)

Linda, if you are going to wait and see Pirates on the ship keep in mind the movie is over 2 hours long.
The dress is white, but I'm going to see what adding some green ribbon that matches the color of the bridesmaids dresses looks like. I'll try to get a picture of it soon, I couldn't find one online. I wish I had brought my camera when my flower girl tried it on! She's 5 years old - I think!

The 80's night at the disco sounds fun! I'm not a dancer but I love 80s music. Not a fan of Madonna, Prince, or Michael Jackson though.. We like to go to clubs to people watch...and drink :drinking1

 Hi Everyone
Happy Anniversary Jules and Ian  :love2:
Everyone seems to be in such good spirtits today :teeth:
Alie was confused about the posts because I changed it so that the most recent post is first so you have to read from bottom to top. :rotfl: I like it that way so that I don't have to go to the last page to read the new posts.
I hope I get to see POTC soon too, It does sound like they leave you hanging with this one, but it still sounds like I would like it. The DJ Ship sure looks cool.
Linda the pavalovas sound great. I bet you will make a great cooking class teacher. Better leave the Grand Mariner recipes to the adults though :lmao:
Sue, glad you and mom had a good time. :Pinkbounc
Kelly, I bet that dress will be awsome once you add the Kelly touches to it. Where did you guys register?
The other day Alie and I where listening to Disco on the cable tv and I was dancing like a fool. I told Alie I am SOOOO going to Disco on the cruise.
That's the way, That's the way, I like it!!!!! Uh-Huh!

Thanks for the anniversary wishes Jane

We are all disco dancing divas today

 :woohoo: :dance3: :dancer: party: :rockband: :jumping1:

Snow White

Other than Sue and Ali we are all on-line, its a shame they are not here too, we could all have danced together :cool1:

Im Definately up for dancing here and when we get on the cruise!! party: :dancer:

Mind you, i THINK I can dance, when Ive had a few glasses of wine, but I think the rocking of the boat will make me "stagger" ...well thats my excuse and im sticking to it ! :rotfl2:

80s disco is Monday night....... ive been looking at navigator, Im interested in napkin folding, and the stem to stern wine tasting too, both on Wed, sea day.

There seems soooooooooo much to do !

Can anyone explain the fire drill on the first day, where do we meet, is it according to where oour stateroom is? If Elouise is in the club, and we had to get off in an emergency, do we go to the club to get her first? Wow now im getting scared! :guilty: :scared1:

Dont be scared Linda :grouphug:

The drill doesn't tkae long, tou basically have to put your life vest on in your room and go to your assembly point, this will depend on where your rooms is, you will be with a group of people and there will be crew members explaining what to do in case of an emergency and explaining the lifeboats etc, they then do a mini roll call of your small group and then everyone is free to leave and enjoy the sail away party  The only thing you need to be scared about is how hot it gets standing on deck in your life vest :sunny: :rotfl2: It is all done very efficiently and over and done with quickly.

I am just like you when I have had some wine, think I am the dancing diva :rotfl2:

by the way Linda where do I go to look at the Navigators please ??

Hi Jules, arent we doing well keeping us on the front page of the cruise meets!!!

Ive looked at ALL the days navigators for the 4 day cruise, on the DCL FAO page. the dis is saved as my fav, Wayne did this for me, and its the first thing that comes up. It has all the nav for all the cruises. It also has menus etc. If you cant find it, let me know and I will look up or send you what you want.

Thanks for the heads up on the drill, guess im scared about getting Ellie if she wasnt with us. Can we put on ife jackets once at the station point, to save geting baked? Hoping it is hot and not a hurrican !!!

Hi Linda

We are good at keeping our thread near the top :)
Thanks for the info on the Navigators I will see if I can find them and if not if you could help me that would be great - thanks.

I have seen people walking to the assembly points carrying their vests, but last year there were crew members asking them to put them on, they are not too bulky, it is just when you are out on deck and it is very hot it gets a bit sticky :guilty: .. It is worth it though cos as soon as the drill is over it is time to start having fun :cool1:

I would not worry Linda, I have never once been scared on the ship, and I am a very nervous passenger, car, plane etc, the safest I have ever felt is on the ship. I am sure there must be a procedure for when Ellie is in kids club, but as we have no children I'm sorry I cant help out with that one ....

We are going to have a great time, the weather will be hot, I have had my share of hurricanes whilst on my holidays, so I am sure there will be someone smilind down on me this year so it doesn't happen again :thumbsup2

*Dopey*

here's a couple dork-tastic photos of me and Jake on our first cruise (Carnival) with our life vests on. I hope the ones on Disney ships don't smell as bad as these did!! :crazy2:

we registered at target, bed bath beyond, walmart and amazon.com

Me

Thanks for the laugh Kelly :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
You are 2 cute
Sign me up for the wine tasting Linda :thumbsup2
Then we can do the stagger-bop :dance3:

I have read that DCL used to have those big smelly life vests but now they have nice new ones.

:hourglass 96

You

You are so cute Kelly

There were smelly jackets once, but last year they were much better :cool1:

lets all do the wine bop
