Have you seen the negative thread aboout the pirate party? How its all changed, and not piratey at all now, just a loud disco !!! What a shame ! We will have to see about that ! We will certainly have fun, but I sooooo hope they have Mickey and Capt Hook. This and CC are what we are expecting the cruise to be about ! With POTC just coming out, I would have thought Disney would have made the party bigger and better?

Oh well.................... hope everyone had a great weekend. Are you on a long weekend break cos of the 4th July ? What do you do to celebrate Indepenace day? Its fun to hear what each country does. We love Thanks giving................ we were married the day before TG in 1998. Though in Jamacia, the hotel was about 80% American and we had great fun helping put up decorations etc ! I love the idea of thanks giving, wish we did it in the UK.

Linda I hadn't read about the Pirate Party changes but since you said it I had to find out! I read through the post (here's a link to it in case someone else missed it http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1148822&page=1&pp=15 ) I wish it was still as piratey as before but I think I'm still going to have a BLAST at the party! Since I never attended the first version I won't know what I'm missing and if I'm dressed as a pirate that's all it's going to take for me to have a crazy fun pirate time

Today I got a card in the mail from Disney - or so I thought!! It was actually a card from Jacob. He had printed it out using the disney font and for the return address it just said "Happiest Place on Earth" He sure had me fooled!! He's so sweet, first he told me he bet I thought it was from Disney - haha yep! and then he just said how much he cared for me and how he can't wait to be married

We aren't doing anything extra special for the holiday. I have to work today and tomorrow as well. Jacob has tomorrow off. I do plan to get my work done early and spend most of the day printing and assembling wedding invitations - finally!

Im along the same lines of thought for the pirate party, what I havnet seen I cant compare. and I KNOW we will have a BLAST, cos Im sure our table will MAKE it fun. But I was curious to understand why in most peoples view points it wasnt as good as before, and why Disney didnt put it back to the popular one.??

Do you think any Disney Employees read the boards ? what a great source of free information!/ feedback !
I guess someone must, but then ?Disney is so huge, I suppose the DIS is a drop in the ocean to them. Which is fair enough.

Hi All,

I had a terrific 4th. We had friends and family over for a fish fry on the third, then my DSis-In Law had everyone over to their house for BBQ on the fourth.

My DS and his DGF called from Guam and they are officially engaged. I don't think they plan to Marry for at least a year. DGF is still in college.

Thanks for posting the link Kelly It sounds like the old POTC show would have been best but since I never saw it I will probably be thrilled with this one.

I don't think I will be disappointed on Pirate night either. I didn't see the version that was supposedly "too scarey". I think they were still doing the mild version on my 2004 cruise. I thought the fun was just walking around the ship and seeing others dressed up and enjoying the atmosphere. And, now that there is fireworks it will be even better!

Congrats to Jane on Ty & Laurens engagement. I was suprised when mom mentioned something about it in an email over the weekend. I don't know why my sister did not tell me about it!

Hi everyone.!

Jules hope the weather is OK Sat, last night we were awake by REALLY loud thunder and lots of lightening. Lots of places were flooded and the motorway closed this morning.

We are waiting to see POTC on the Wonder! Rumour is the ship might be at CC till end of year ! How cool !!!

School trip was good, in Mrs Cox's class, red class! Ellie would have only been a week, before we go on holiday. she was meant to start in Sep, but due to being a summer baby,ie one of the youngest the school is staggering the starts. I was going to book Sep, but didnt so she could get settled in school , now it works out she does a week,then we are away for 3 weeks ( she only misses 2 weeks of school, cos there is a holiday)

This will make you laugh... cos I hold a basic food hygiene cert from work and a first aid at work cert, the school have asked me to come in and help run cookery classes! = Ha ha..... Me cook!! . Wayne thought this was funny! Can you imagine me and 19, 4 and 5 yr olds baking cakes! What fun!

Jules NEXT sale is on 22nd July..... just in case you want anything !!
The store opens at 5am, (im in at 3am to do fire checks etc) for Jane an Sue and Kelly. Its a twice year sale when most stuff is half price. We are a large out of town store, so have people queueing from midnight! Often 600 people queueing, so we have to wait for some to leave, before we can let anymore in ! Us Brits love a bargain!

I went to see Pirates "Dead Mans Chest" on Friday. I really enjoyed it. I think I liked the first one a bit better but this one had lots of action and nice effects. It seemed to be setting up for the third one.

We saw Pirates yesterday and LOVED it, so much fun. We were dorks and even wore our pirate t-shirts can't wait for the next one!

Saturday we were registering for gifts nearly all day but now we are done. We also got our flower girl dress at Target of all places and it was only $16.99! Big savings over the dress I was going to buy for her and I like this one even better.

We didn't get to see Pirates yet, on Saturday we had to go to the football tournament which was good fun, it was funny to see the little ones (under nine) taking it so seriously, they looked like the end of the world had come if they lost a match .... Yesterday we jsut chilled out at home ...

It is our anniversary tomorrow (13 years ), so we aer thinking of going out for some dinner and watching Pirates, it sounds like you have a ll enjoyed it so far ...
