Oct. 15, 2006 (4 nights on the "New" Wonder)

Kelly and Jake, it must be fate. While shopping today, I saw a magnetic sign, saying "Just married" on it !!!!
 Perfect I thought for your cruise door. It comes with some white paper bells, and 6 just married balloons.

If this is something you might like ( I can try and post a photo later) please would you let me and Wayne give this to you as a small "honeymooon" gift?? It would be such fun!

Let us know what you think

JAM

Linda that sounds cool! I'd never say no to a gift :rotfl: but I'd also never ask for one!

Sorry I missed a couple posts yesterday....darn email notifications. Remember I said how I haven't been getting them for about a week, well last night they ALL came at once. I had about 50 in my inbox!

I was so surprised to see we had the same breed of dog too. It's a pretty rare breed around here as well. Our first Keeshond was a rescue, she started hanging around my dad's worksite (he builds houses) and they were feeding her and finally he just brought her home. We think she was abused by the previous "owners" because she was terrified of everything, poor thing. I loved her dearly but one night she unexpectedly passed. I was devastated. My parents found another keeshond a few weeks later but my dad had to drive over 5 hours to get her and he said she sat in his lap the whole way home and peed on him too LOL. The first night she slept next to my pillow (I was sleeping on a mattress on the floor at that time..by choice lol) and she chewed a hole in my pillow cover hahaha. Now Pooh is about 9 years old....and spoiled rotten.

I think your pirate outfit sounds perfect. Mine should be arriving today so I'll get to try it on and see if it will work out.....usually store bought costumes don't look too good on me....so we'll see...

We're thinking the same thing for Nassau....we're probably just getting off to look around for a while...so we can say we went lol. We really just want to enjoy the ship while we can!

Is there a semi-formal night on this cruise?

good day all! I need to get back to work :sunny:

STUB

I had a very busy morning so I just now got back to the boards. Glad to find you all here.

We had thought about getting a room at the comfort suites in Nassau but Alie said she would rather just go SHOPPING. That's a teenage girl for you. We will probably look around but not plan any excursions. We are all thinking of doing some at CC though.

Kelly, I saw your bio :thumbsup2 awsome. I think your wedding will be beautiful.

Linda, my pirate costume is just a black skirt and off white blouse with a black jacket, boots and a belt. I will have to accessorize to call it a costume.

I don't think there is an official semi-formal night but people try to dress up a little more for Tritons. I saw some posts that predict that if we get the dinner time we requested, First, late seating that our rotation will be TAAP If this is true then the first night would be dressy, 3rd night is always pirate night, and the last night would be tropical.

toe

 Hi Everyone, sorry I have posted today, I have been visiting a supplier in Leicestershire and have only just got back..

Jane - I'm sorry I dont know what a stub is, in the Uk if we hit our toe we say we stubbed it so that is why I put toe :yay:

All your pirate costumes sound brilliant I really need to get something organised for us, I will have to start looking.

Jane I noticed also that people tend to dress up more at Tritons, other than that it seemed pretty relaxed.

Kellly and Linda the dogs are beautiful, I have not heard of them before but they are very sweet, we have two birman cats but I love dogs of all shapes and sizes, the photo of Ali with your dog is so cute Jane ...

Linda that is so nice of you to get the magnet for Kelly, you will all need to let me know if you want us to bring you something from the UK, I think that already Linda is bringing you chocolates, so if you can think of anything else let me know, Linda we are thinking of getting Kelly and jake a Welsh lovesppon as a honeymoon gift what do you think ?

love Jules xxx

Hi Everyone... I have such good vibes :sunny: about this cruise, im sooooo looking forward to it, and of course meeting everyone! :cool1: I just know our table(s) are going to be so much fun. Im really glad I found the DIB, its amazing how much chatting to you guys have enhanced my "pre holiday"build up !

Kelly, I cant understand people being cruel to any animal, it really makes my blood boil. Im so glad that your dad rescued your dog, and she had such a loving family to live her life with. Wayne was well impressed we had the samw breed dog. whats the odds on that! :confused3

Jane, I really dont mind the rotation of the restaurants we are on, as long as you guys are cool with it. I just really need the earliest of the the late sittings, so Elouise will eat. Especially if the meals are quite long winded. dont get me wrong,I enjoy a relaxed meal, with lots of chatting and relaxing. Just its hard to keep a 4 yr old entertained! Fingers crossed this is where the kids clubs come in. My plan is let E eat by room service or pool bar about 4pm, small nap ?? then see the show and characters, then perhaps Elouise will just "pop in" to see you guys and then go to the club so we can eat in peace!

Is there a "better" restaurant to eat in twice ? What everones fav one? I guess the 3rd night being pirates night, we can eat quicker and get to the party on time???

*ring* whoops forgot sorry!

Kelly,

If you are happy to PM me your room number, I am more than happy to decorate your door for you. Or I can give you the sign etc at our first meal. What ever you prefer.
On closer inspection the sign isnt magnetic, but thats not a problem, we plan to use blu tac on our door sign. I got carried away buying an England sign (that is magnetic) today. I thought I should stock up on stuff, while the world cup is on.

England plays again Thurs at 5pm, so fingers crossed! :cheer2:

Jules, the Welsh  love  spoon is a wonderful idea. what a lovely and original gift.

Hi Linda

We are so excited too and really pleased that we found you all, I think we are going to have an exciting time and lots of laughs.

I couldn't agree more how anyone can be cruel to an animal is beyond me, they are so innocent !!

Personally we enjoyed all the restaurants, we didn't eat at Parrots Cay first year we swapped for Palo as everybody had said Parrots Cay was the poorest of the restaurants, we ate there last year and loved it, we had a wonderful meal there, and cant understand why some people are negative, the effect at Animators Palate are also amazing ... We enjoyed Palo, but would not go back, the food was wonderful but very rich, we got to desert and couldn't eat another mouthful but they bought us two desserts anyway, we ended up going straight to bed afterwards as we were too full to be able to go to any of the clubs, it is enjoyable but very rich on the stomach, we both love our food but it nearly finished us off !! We also had brunch at palo which was very nice but again lots of food, i know you dont have to eat it but when we left after eating what we could the waiter seemed offended that we would not eat anymore. We much prefer Tritons AP and Parrots Cay, the food on board is great Linda, I hope you like dessert cos they just won't take no for an answer, last year we were with a family of four from florida we were all so full that we didnt want dessert, we ended up with a sample of every dessert, the waiters are so funny, they just want to keep pumping you with food, Ian and I like a coffe after our meal and they insisted that we have amaretto with it, they are mad and like to see you enjoy your food. the snack bars and room service will be great for Ellie, there is a good variety at room service and near the pool you can get pizza, burgers, fries and fresh fruits ...

Cant wait to meet you all this makes me so excited

love Jules xxx :cheer2:

diamond
sorry I forgot too got carried away on food ...

Pearls

Linda: Jake says maybe we should pick up the sign at dinner LOL he's concerned about our privacy :rolleyes1

Julie: I have no idea what a love spoon is but it sounds special!

I've been trying to come up with a little something to bring everyone from Wisconsin....but have yet to come up with anything good.

Glad we all seem to be animal lovers :thumbsup2 I think it's a good judge of character.

Jane: do you mean my bio on the knot? Are you snooping on me LOL! I've been meaning to update it but haven't had the time lately.

of wisdom

Julie, yes stub means as in toe. Exactly what I was thinking.
I have no idea what a love spoon is either :confused3
but it sounds naughty
I love coffee after dinner too but no amaretto :sad2: I'll take Kaluah instead :rotfl:

Lets see, I remember from earlier posts that Linda likes mulled wine, is that sweet? I like dry reds like merlot and shiraz. What does everyone else drink? :drinking1

Kelly, Yes, I think it was on the knot? I was reading through some old posts on the DIS and I saw you had posted a link. I loved how you did up the cake server set. You are talented. :artist:

wise man

Hi, a love spoon is very nice, no peeking on the internet  its not nuaghty I promise !!

We will have to try the liquer you have with your coffe Jane dont know that one. You will be in good company with Ian he likes shiraz and merlot he is also partial to a beer..

I like dry whites, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay etc, but I also never say no to a cocktail or two :drinking1 if I have too many cocktails it makes me :ccat: :ccat: :tigger: :mickeyjum

Yoda :yoda:

Thanks for the compliment Jane. The cake serving set was my first wedding DIY project.

As for drinks, I like cocktails and champagne....and champagne cocktails :p sometimes I like beer as well....Jake however does not like beer, he likes tropical "girly" drinks like me hehe, but only I can make fun of him!

Warning - my cheeks will get red after one sip of alcohol....so if you see my face all red I'm not drunk (well probably not hahaha).

Well my pirate costume arrived today....it fit well and looked very piratey but I think It will be too hot to wear in Florida....and it's a little over the top. I've already started putting together something else with some things I already have and I think it will turn out great. I always end up putting costumes together myself and like them better. pirate:

Chewy

Kelly, I love that wise man made you think Yoda :rotfl2: I am sure that you pirate costume will be perfect.

Okay, so everyone knows that here in Florida we are known for DISNEY :earsboy: :earsgirl: oranges, and alligators. What is eveyone elses homes known for? The famous and maybe not so famous?

darth vader

 ok Wales is know for sheep, dragons, mountains, Tom Jones, and probably rugby, although we are not much good at that :rotfl2:

the sheep reference is pretty naughty, as Linda will prob confirm, it is thought that Welsh men do naughty things with sheep, let me assure you that as far as I am aware this is not the case

Wales also has its own language, of which I can speak very little, it is spoken more in North and West Wales, they look down on us in the South as we do not speak the language ....

lesson for today, good morning in Welsh is Bora Da, please do not ask for more lessons as this probably the extent of my Welsh :rolleyes1

Hope you are well today Jules xx

Light Saber :darth:

(edit: LOL posting on top of each other! I had taffy)

Wisconsin is known for: Beer, Cheese, Farms, GB Packers, Snow
People: Chris Farley, Houdini, Frank Lloyd Wright, Liberace, Georgia O'Keefe, Spencer Tracy, Orson Welles, Laura Ingalls Wilder and William Defoe.

Im not good on Star wars, so im going to say * stick!*, thats what a light sarb reminds me of !!

Great info here, Yes Jules, SHEEP is one of the first words I thought of when I think of Wales! Im sure its all rumour!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Kelly what are GB packers?.... is it a team in sport?

England: Well David Beckhams English, as is Robbie Williams
The Royal Family, Harry and William, the Queen etc

Afternoon tea ( no we dont all sit down at 4pm for cucumber sandwiches and fancy cakes)

I guess you have all heard of Harrods, the posh departent store in Knightsbridge London. Now Jules, if we won the lottery, what we could buy there..................................... ok dream on Linda!
Princess Di, was dating the Harrods bosses son when they were both killed in Paris in a car crash.

We are known for eating Fish and Chips out of newspaper, and yorkshire puddings.

Also it tends to rain alot here ( though not recently, but this is against the norm!) :sunny:

tree

:rotfl2: Sheep Linda :rotfl2: its not true honest, well at least not with Ian :rotfl2:

I was wondering what GB Packers were too ?

Now Harrods think of the damage, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, roll on the lottery tonight ... we can dream...

All your things are yummy Linda, fish and chips, yorkshire puddings and Robbie Williams.

If you get lonely for your afternoon tea, have you ever been to the Grand Floridian for it, it was pouring with rain at the MK once so me and Ian headed to the GF and ended up having afternoon tea, it was so funny, bone china cups with cucumber sandwiches and scones .... :rotfl2: we laughed so much about it

love Jules
