Oct. 15, 2006 (4 nights on the "New" Wonder)

Did anyone see this on the Theme park section of the DIB?

Ive sent my E mail to Disney, awaiting reply ( sent 8 days ago !)

Apparently, Disney is not clearing MK for the party. I copied this from another thread. I'm posting it here for all to see.

Quote:
They aren't closing the park until 7, when the party starts. They used to close at six to get non ticket holders out. Now they aren't going to do that. They won't be able to ride the attractions but it's not about the rides. Now we have to fight for a space to see the parades and fireworks with people who didn't pay for tickets to the party. I have no idea how they are going to handle trick or treating. Looks as though they are doing the same for MVMCP too.

They were talking about it on the WDW Today podcast this week. They couldn't believe they were going to do that and thought it was just a typo on the web site. So they called a source and were told it wasn't a typo. They aren't clearing the park. They'll make an announcement and ask people to leave. That's it. But why would anyone leave when they can see the parades and fireworks and characters for free?

Please email guest relations and tell them how upset you are!!!
Here is a link to the thread from which I quoted.

Here are the email addresses guest.mail@disneyonline.com and/or wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com

Hopefully they'll get enough of a negative response and rethink the decision.

I saw this last week also Linda and sent a mail, every other year they have cleared tha parks, so I dont see why not this year ? If people think they can see fireworks and parades for free they are obviously going to try and stay in, I really cant understand whi Disney have decided to go with this ....

How is the wall construction going ??

Kelly you never scare us away, I didn't spend much time onlone over the weekend - which is very unlike me !!

I saw it and sent my email to Disney last week also about MNSSHP. I did not receive the standard response to my first email within a few days so I sent another one, which I've only received the standard "we've received your email, blah blah blah"

This new plan sounds like a mess to me. I hope they go back to the old way. I'm not good at holding in my frustration even while in public and If I can't see a parade because of any non-wristband wearing folks I know I won't keep my mouth shut LOL. I'll be like "excuse me, me and my wristband are going to come stand in front of you now, please step aside"

This is what ive got back from 10 yes 10 e mails. They dont get rid of me that easy!!!! :teeth:

Ive shared this on the thread, but blanked out the phone number and persons name, as I thought this was unfair to "broadcast" it to everyone! But its in FULL here, so i would phone or e mail.
Ive left my number and said im from the UK. I also replied in an email.

Fingers crossed we get a definate and positve reply!

When are you both going?
Kelly we go the 12th .... do I remember you and Jake doing that night too ?
What about you Jules?

I guess we will have to listen to what the first few party goers say!

Pick up TV tomorrow
Lots more work on the wall structure first, :rolleyes1 but we actually need it to double check the sizes, getting it in the wall etc.

Take care all. xxxxx :grouphug:

Wow Linda 10 emails! You've inspired me to send my third! I hope they put an end to this soon. It's really awful how they just leave us wondering what is going to happen when so many people have put so much money into it.

You're right, Jake and I are there on the 12th as well, as pirates. pirate:
I'm still excited, just annoyed with them.

Jules when are you going to the Halloween party?

Hi everyone

I havent been around for a few days, first due to work overload, second due to PC problems :badpc:

Jules, You are celebrating my Birthday at MNSSHP :woohoo:

Mike, I read the Mother Daughter trip report and thought of you and your girls on the dolphin swim, was glad to note that you saw it too. What do you think about the missing Firefighter up here? Hope thay find out what happened to her. :confused3

Come on people! Chat it up, I'm getting really excited..it's getting so close!

Linda did you contact Disney yet? Hopefully if you did you got the same response as others have posted. I just want some consistancy ya know. I'm feeling more positive about it though. How is the TV coming?

Jules are you and Ian dressing up for the halloween party?

Hey Jane, :wave2: been wondering where you have been hiding lately! Darn work getting in the way of things.

Hi Kelly! I will chat with you. :hyper2:

What ride are you most looking forward to?
What ride do you plan to do first?
What is your favorite Disney World show?

:cool1: Hey Sue!

What ride are you most looking forward to?
ohh I can't pick just one, so I'll pick just one at each park hahaha
MK - Pirates!
Epcot - Soarin
MGM - Rockin' Roller Coaster
AK - Expedition Everest

What ride do you plan to do first?
Let me check our schedule...
Looks like it will be either Rockin' Roller Coaster if we can walk on, otherwise maybe the Great Movie Ride - MGM is our first park :)

What is your favorite Disney World show?
Hmmm I liked the Beauty and the Beast show best so far, but they've all been good.

I'll add:

What's your favorite Disney (food) treat?
Walking the parks - Sandals or Sneakers?

You all know im soooo chatty now, so ive joined in :teeth:

We wear trainers in the parks, Elouise wears trainers, but worn in comfy sandlas when being a "princess" ! No plastic clippery clopperty shoes for her, too slow when walking ! :rotfl2:

Rides we are looking for to.

Soaring Test Track and the tutle show at Epcot.

Spalsh mountain ( E wasnt tall enough last time, and we DESPERATe to go on!)
Back to favourites, Buzz and Tea cups ! :sunny:

AK we ( me mailny) want to do Everest. .
We like the safari too.

MGM Elouise LOVEs the beauty and the Beast show, and is VERY VERY keen to see the Power rangers. Wayne wants to see Lightening Mc Queen, but wont admit it :goodvibes

WE really love IOA and US. W and I LOVE the Mummy!
I go on the HULK on the front too. I guess im a thrill junkie :teeth:

now all this chatting is making me sooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited !

Tv is IN! and we have watched it, with the surround sound. it was really amazing! Now it has to come out of the wall again for plastering etc. Waynes been playing his X Box on it, the graphics are stunning. So I guess the plastering will get done quickly, so it can go back up ! :thumbsup2

Hi Linda!
Glad you joined the chat! princess: princess: princess:

I often wear sandals to work but I always wear trainers/sneakers to the parks!
Hmmm, I don't know what my favorite Disney food or snack is. I got a very good strawberry smoothie at Epcot (near Morrocco I think) that I would get again.
What food or snack do you recommend I try? Any suggestions??

I want to ride Soar'n but I am a little nervous about feeling dizzy. I love most rides but the simulator rides with the big movie screens often make me feel sick. :worried: I have heard other people say that Soar'n is not the same and I would be fine.
I have not seen the Beauty and the Beast show. When I have been to MGM the time of the show never seemed to work out. I like the Festival of the Lion King a lot. It is very upbeat and makes me happy. ::yes::

I love Universal too! We have had a great time when there. The atmosphere is so interesting. I miss the King Kong ride. I have good memories of it. I like the Ripsaw Falls ride the best at IOA I think. As long as I feel like getting very soaked. :teeth:

I like the ET ride but heard that they may close it.

I still feel like chatting!

I really like Buzz Lightyear too but I LOVE the Men in Black ride at Universal. Love to shoot those aliens! I am not good on the tea cups. I would have loved spinning when I was a teen but didn't get to go to Disney at that age.

What age did you first go to Disney??

I went to Disney Land in California when I was 21.

Kelly, I am wanting to see the changes on Pirates too. I'm thinking there will be a long line. :upsidedow

I wear sandals in the parks, flip flops to be exact. I wouldn't mind wearing walking shoes or something if I had a pair of decent ones.

I love the frozen Minnie Mouse strawberry bars they sell - I know you can get pretty much the same thing anywhere but I only have them when in Disney hehe. Jacob likes the Dole whip things a whole bunch.

Ohh I also love the tea cups. I agree Pirates probably will have a long line now. Which will be different, our last 2 trips we barely had to wait at all and at mnssp we walked on over and over!

Jacob and I have only been to Universal IOA once but we enjoyed it and would like to go back someday. I liked the Jurassic Park one I think, if that's the one sort of like splash mountain. And spider-man was cool. I didn't go on many of the thrill rides as I'm a huge chicken.

Last time Jacob and I went on Buzz Lightyear for the first time ever and seeing as how he's such a video game junkie I thought for sure he'd do better than me, but I totally kicked his butt! It was soooo funny, he was like how the heck did you get all those points hahahahha.

I was 20 for my first trip to Disney World.

Hi Everyone - lots of chatting are we all getting excited - I am :cool1:

I will sing Happy Birthday to You when I am at the party Jane, we will be dressing up Kelly probably as pirates

OK her we go
Favourite Rides:
Epcot - Soarin
MK - Philarmagic
AK - Safari
MGM - TOT

Our first ride will be Soarin
Favourite Show - Beauty and The Beast
Favourite Food - Hot Wings and a pitcher of Budweiser to share of course !!
I wear sandals to the Parks - Croc Flip Flops

Sue I am sure you would be fne on Soarin, I hate simulators and cant do Star Wars or Bodywars when that was open, but Soarin is no problem I love it and I am sure you would to ..

The Teacups do me in, I cant cope with that Spinning
I was 21 when I went to Disney World first.

I agree that Pirates will be busy this year, like you Kelly the past times we have just walked on, I fear that things will have changed now ....

Glad that things are going well with the TV Linda....

What is your favourite Water Park
What is your favourite Souvenir that you have bought

Mine is Typhoon Lagoon and a water globe that I got for Mickeys 75th

Great to speak to you all

love Jules xx

I was 28 when I first went to Florida Disney, i had been to Paris, but thats nothing like Florida :sunny:

I fogot Spiderman, we LOVE that. E will be tall enough for that too. wicked! She LOVES all types of fast spinning, roller coaster type rides. :thumbsup2

I love Typhoon Lagoon, we went last year, got some fab photos of E in the kiddies area. We all enjoyed the lazy river. We never got to BB. :confused3
We will this time!

My favourite purchase ........................I suppose Elouises first princess dress (Cinderella) we brought there for the meal in the castle. I will always cherish the photos of her and Wayne in front of the castle. She was soooo excited, her eyes were as large as saucers. :teeth:

Jules, Are you worried about going over the weight limit for the plane? WE have soooooooooooo much stuff in the spare room, we can hardly get in. :rotfl2: I keep buying odd bits for the holiday. You know you see a cute top and whoops before you know it, you've brought it ! :rotfl:

PIRATE NIGHT INFO FOR OUR TABLE! pirate: pirate: pirate:

Elouise and I were shopping in a card shop and saw a pirate table decoration. i hope you guys wont mind, but Elouise begged me to get it for the table. She wants to decorate it with Choc coins etc. She wants to surprise you all . I know you are all very very cool, and kind. I hope you wont mind going along with her surprise ? I think her being Capt Hook that night, and us being her "crew" she is getting carried away with things. :rotfl2:

Hey Jules I see you are still on line

Brenda, off the Oct 07 thread, wants to know if you are joining us on the 20th Oct 07 ?????????????????

I said I would nag ............ :chat: :hyper2: :chat: :hyper2: :jumping1:
