Oct. 15, 2006 (4 nights on the "New" Wonder)

I'm glad everyone is feeling a bit better about flying. I will be concerned about getting to the airport extra early but I'm fine with the bans on stuff that could be potentually dangerous.
I'm glad Alie got back safely and had a good time! :teeth: Hi Alie!! :wave2:
Jane-I am a bit scared to sit by you on pirate night now that your name includes BACKSTABBER! :rotfl: I will need to think about what my name will be. hmmm.

Linda- I like to collect those smashed pennys that have pictures on them. I have a lot from Disney and other places that I have visited. Do they have those where you live? I don't want to be any trouble but if you happen to see a penny smashing machine I would be more than happy to pay you back for the cost of one (or more) :) .

:dance3:

My pirate name is Cannibal Hook-Handed Harry. pirate:
(hmmm, with this name no one will want to sit by me for dinner either!)

Hi Sue, we dont have the penny machines in the Uk as such, HOWEVER we DO have them in theme parks etc. I will try and have a look when In London, they may have them at tourist attractions. If I see any you will be sure to get a few, no probs! :thumbsup2

Jules Where are your Friends staying? We atayed at the Excalibur, on the strip. We hardly slept for 5 nights, It is like an adults Disney ( well for us it was! ;) )

Hi Allie, please tell us about your trip it sounds so cool. Glad you are home OK. Things look a bit "messy" still at airports with delays etc, but at least things are getting better.

Jules as for the pins, Brenda is THRILLED, thanks. Now she will be on our table in Oct 07, if you booked you could give them to her yourself!!! :rotfl2:

Will ANYONE consider joining us on a 7 night western 19th Oct 07?
I was trying to encourage Jules and Ian.
Now that would be some party !!!! all of us together again! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

Happy 15th dance to you all.

Only the 15th of September left to celebrate, then................

yipee its the 15th Oct. PARTY DAY!!!! :sunny: :rotfl2: :sunny: :sunny:

Hi all...I cant believe the trip is only two months away...Just wanted to share the excitement :cheer2:

Lindy---My husband and I were just looking at the same 7 day cruise in October...Weird...I really wanted to do another cruise a couple of weeks before Christmas, when the ship is in holiday decorations but the prices were a bit high...Would be fun if we actually did wind up on another October cruise together :cool1:

Hope everyone is doing well

Whoops, I think its actually the 20th, well its that Sat in Oct. 07

Oh Jen what fun that would be, now we need to "nag" the others :rotfl2:
Oh perhaps I will win the lottery and buy you all another cruise :teeth:

That would be toooooooooooooooooooo cool !

Kelly, havent heard from you for a while, hope all your wedding plans are going OK?

Hi all,

Woohoo - Only 2 Months! :woohoo:

I've been sick with some sort of head cold or allergies since last week, finally feeling better but now Jacob is sick.

Wedding plans are going well. Not sure if I updated on the new cake baker but she is wonderful! The cake was delicious and she's going to do it just how we want! So once again I'm glad the first person didn't work out. We sampled one of her cakes called a mounds cake and it tastes like a Mounds candy bar. It was chocolate with chocolate fudge and coconut filling with whipped buttercream frosting. I loved it. She also makes a pina colada cake which we are also going to have. Today I have a dress fitting with a lady in town and need to see if she can do the bustle I want. She thinks she can.

Linda I was looking at future cruises last night and priced the 7-day on the 10/20/07. Sadly I don't think we'll be able to afford that long of a cruise with Disney anyway in the next couple years as we are saving to buy a house. Who knows though, I often do the splurge and just enjoy life rather than do the "right" thing hahaha. We really want to enjoy a trip to just Disney World next year and try a deluxe hotel! But if we enjoy the cruise as much as I think we will it will be hard to not add on at least a 3-day cruise to our next vacation.

Anyone started packing yet?? :p

What happened to the word game??
I'll get it going again..

"Anticipation"

I was wondering what happened to the person who started this thread (landmark)? Just curious...

Kelly- Your cake sounds Yummy! I love Pina Colada cake. Sounds like you really like coconut.
I should have started packing in July! Now that school has started I will have 2 softball games(or 3) and 2 football games (DD Cheers) each week; mostly out of town. I will be busy. It will help pass the time though. At least I am not trying to do a Wedding..

Glad the travel is getting better out of the UK. I thank God that the terrorist were arrested. I can not believe how close they came to succeeding.

Have a great day! ........Belinda

OCTOBER
(we are all anticipating Oct!)

Kelly-glad you are feeling better! And, sorry to hear Jacob is not feeling well now  Just be glad you have plenty of time before the cruise. I fear getting sick right when it is time to go :sad2:

Linda-I know I will be wanting to cruise with you by the time next Oct gets here! I would really love to do the Western again too. A week of cruising really gives you time to seek out some extra fun. It is so sweet that you want us all to go too. I do hope to cruise again but my husband would not be happy if I committed to going again right now! He is hopeing I will stay home with him for my next vacation.

Exciting

Jane I am gald to hear that Ali is home safe and well and that she had fun, the pictires are wonderful, they must have had a great time.

Sue like Linda says there are no pressed penny places here either, but if I go anywhere between now and October and see any I will be sure to ghet some for you, it is great to hear from you, have your work pressures eased a little now ?

Linda, Neil and Helen are staying at Treasure Island, they are so looking forward to it, you are not giving up on us cruising next year :rotfl2: I am crossing my fingers that you win the lottry.

Jen it really is a coincidence that you have looked at the same cruise as Linda - spooky !!

I am sorry that you have been poorly Kelly but pleased to hear that you feel better now - and now poor Jake is sick :sad2: The cake sounds wonderful i would love to try Pina Colada cake, that really is different, and chocolate fudge and coconut yummy ....

Belinda no packing yet, but I cant wait to start and sure I wont be long !!

15th Dance coming up :cheer2: :dance3:   :dancer: :rockband: party: :drinking1 :dancer:

:woohoo: woohoo :woohoo:

Just wanted to point out to everyone that the girl in the pictures with Alie is Janet, her friend that will be cruising with us.

Celebrate!

Allie and Janet look like they had a fab time. We loved doing the small plane trip over the Grand Canyon. It was great! We even took a helicopter down to the very bottom and had champagne by the Colorando river. :thumbsup2

Jules ,Treasure Island hotel Im sure is on the strip, it has a big pirate: pirate pirate: ship outside, I think every hour or so they do a big "show" involving the ship. Its great fun. :sunny: We watched it a couple of times.
It stopped us spending money so quick ! :lmao:

Jen, how cool you looked at the same cruise as us, is this fate? Am I right in thinking your son is 5? do you have other kids too? It would be great for them to meet up with elouise Kylie and Nicole ( hi girls :wave2: ) and also Belindas(Tinknannys) grandson, sorry is it Matthew???

Kelly sorry you were poorly, send a big :grouphug: to Jake.
Your cake sounds divide :cloud9: yummy yummy yummy, and so unusual too. As we married :bride: in Jamaica, we had a lovely untraditional wedding cake there. It was the lightest sponge cake i have ever eaten with subtle lemon icing. It was great. When we went to have our photos taken, I dont know what come over me, but we were asked by the photograpgher to cross through each others arms and feed cake to each other. I started to giggle and blobbed a bit of sticky icing on Waynes nose! In a milli second he did the same to me! One of my favourite pictures is were we both have cake icing on our noses, laughing! It was pre digital cameras, so its a shame I cant share it on here.
Anyway ive put on weight since then, so you might not recogonise me :teeth:

no packing yet, however I am starting to group stuff in the spare room. Wayne goes mad at me, cos it looks like " mission control" to him, with everything, he cant touch, till holiday... like toothbrushes, new pants etc
dont tell him I ve put this on here, he will go crazy!! :rotfl:

fun

yes we did have a blast

wow you got married in jamacia how awesome.

that cake sounds super yummy i love pina colada (im a bad speller)

and i hope everyone feels better soon and no one gets sick before during or close to the cruise

Grim Grinning Ghosts

Alie it looks like you had so much fun. The pictures are great. Love the jumping one!

Linda I think you've seen more of America than I have!! LOL

Oh yeah, I haven't started packing yet either, but I'm like you Linda, I just shove certain things that I know I won't or don't want to use til vacation into my carry on luggage for now including clothes that I'm not letting Jacob wear yet hahaha.

I had my dress fitting yesterday and even though she's never done the type of bustle before that I wanted she's going to give it a try and she's sure she can figure it out. She got it all pinned up and it looks great. I think it's called a French bustle.

Ghost Host :hmghost:

LOVED  the pictures of Alie and Janet!! Thanks for the link Jane.

Thank You - Linda and Jules for keeping an eye out for the penny machines! If you don't see any it is no problem at all :) .

Hi Belinda!

Haunted mansion!

Thats one thing we are ALL wanting to ride at MNSSHP!

Kelly, is a french bustle like over your bottom, in layers of material? Please excuse me not knowing !

Sue, no probs with Penny machines, its fun to look for things for others.

Kelly, we do LOVE to travel, and pre Elouise we were lucky to be able to have 3 or 4 holidays a year to the USA/Cuba/Mexico/Turkey/Barbados/Israel etc.
Now we go to Europe more, but when Elouise starts school in Septemeber, our holidays will decrease alot, but due to having to go in school holidays the prices will go up !

Ive got to share some exciting news with you all. We are buying a HD TV, for the lounge, its a whopping 46 inches. not sure if thats big for the USA? but here in the UK, thats pretty large. Im so excited, but scared too. It means alot of structral work to build a wall strong enough for it to hang on, then another "False" wall for it to fit into, and we will be able to put all the DVD, Video, Surround sound and Sky box, underneath in the fake wall. We will have touch open cupboards underneath, but heres the exciting bit, in the Sony shop the man explained "red eye" to me, which means we can use all the Sky box etc, without having to open the cupboard door!!!! Im sooooo pleased, asI really want a neat, tidy ,contempary look. Lucky Wayne is a builder as the quote for the building work alone was almost £1000. He is thrilled cos he has an X Box, and plays alot on line, so thepicture will be fab.

Sorry to waffle on!

Spider Webs

Hi all...Hope everyone is doing well...We have been putting things aside for the cruise too...I have actually had alot of luck at JCPenney buying summer clothes for the family...They had a huge 70% off sale...Got great Havanna linen shirts for my husband for $5...Some nice clothes for my daughter including shirts for $3...Its great to go after the season, if you put the stuff away till next year you can have a whole new wardrobe.

Lindy---I actually have two children...Alexis 13 and Matthew 5 (Valerie SI grandchildren)Who I am sure would love to meet the girls. They will each be exploring their age appropriate clubs...I am a little nervous about the security in the clubs but I guess I will become more comfortable once we are on board and I see the procedure first hand..I really am not keen on my daughter being able to come and go from the club as she pleases.Has anyone had to deall with the teen club before?
