Occupancy

We just purchased our DVC membership and we're looking at spending a week at HH in a 2 bedroom villa. We asked some friends of us to join us, but their youngest (seven yrs old) puts us at 9 people. I know the occupancy rules say "no more than eight" in a HH two bedroom villa. Anyone have any experience with being slightly over the occupancy limit? We would just put her on an air mattress. Seems silly if this forced us into a larger or multiple accommodations. Ditto for those families of five who can't stay in most one bedrooms. Thanks.
