Obtaining GAD FP from Guest Services?

Someone recently posted that they were able to obtain GAD FPs at Guest Services *inside* the park. They arrived at rope drop and the rest of their group arrived later, so they met them there and all got their FPs together. Has anyone else been able to do this? We will likely have part of our group arriving later than we'd like, so we figured we'd get a head start and get our FPs together when they arrive. It would be nice to take care of it right inside the park if we could.

It is my understanding that the Fastpass Exchange Cards can only be issued outside of a Park at the Will-Call window. I know when I was working at the DHS HGate a few months ago people had to leave the park to get the Fastpass Exchange Cards.

Not related to the OPs specific question, but I wrote to Disney asking if the GAD FPs could get redeemed at the International Gateway at Epcot, and the answer is yes, they can.

Dear Mr. [X],

Thank you for contacting us regarding the "Give A Day. Get A Disney
Day." program.

The overwhelming support we received for the “Give a Day. Get a Disney
Day.” program has helped us reach our goal of inspiring one million
people to volunteer a day of service to their communities.

Regarding your inquiry as to redeeming your voucher for the FASTPASS
Special Exchange Card, this can be accomplished at either entrance to
Epcot. At both entrances, Guests who present a valid photo ID, voucher
and multi-day ticket or Annual Pass or Passport may opt for the Exchange
card instead of receiving the free 1-day, 1-park ticket. Present your
voucher at the Theme Park Ticket Booth.

Thank you for your interest in our "Give A Day. Get A Disney Day."
Program.

Sincerely,

Steve Flanders

I've earned a free day from my volunteer work and I have my voucher. I
plan to redeem it for the fastpass. Can I get the fastpass at Epcot's
International Gateway, or do I have to go to the front of the park?

Thanks,
- X

Yes, absolutely.

There are two ticket booths there. One is the Guest Relations location, one is the Will Call location. If only one is open, then it is both :)

For the OP, I have heard of someone being able to get them inside, but I've heard several instances of people being directed outside to the Will Call window. The Will Call window is the official location to turn in GAD vouchers for ANY option.

You can ask...but since you'd be near the front of the park anyways, it would probably be easier to meet the rest of your party outside where you know you can take care of it.

We were able to get GAD FPs at Guest Relations inside DHS one day in April; 2 days later, we went to redeem DD15's GAD at DHS in the same manner and were told we had to go outside to the Will Call window to get the GAD FPs. The second day, the folks at GR refused to believe that anyone provided the FPs to us before because they didn't even have them, etc. It wasn't a big deal, it was just kind of funny because Yeah, the very nice guy from a couple days before most certainly gave our group 6 FPs and we chatted for a bit about our GAD project, etc.

Thanks for the feedback. I think we will plan to go outside of the parks to the Will Call window at MK and DHS, but use the International Gateway at EP. Only two more weeks as of tomorrow

We obtained ours inside at guest relations twice at the MK and once at Epcot. The other 5 times we did it outside at Will Call.

I have GAD passes for my family. My son also has a multi-day pass. Do you think its possible for him to exchange his GAD pass and then give it to another child to use for that day? My son would then use his multi-day pass for admission.

There's another family who wants to go with us and I'm trying to think of ways to help them save a bit of money.

No, unfortunately the ticket he would receive is only for him.

What you could potentially do, if you already have the ticket in-hand and it is unused, is to give them the existing ticket in exchange for cost of upgrading his GAD ticket to the equivalent ticket.

We redeemed ours inside MK twice and inside AK once at guest relations. At AK it took forever, and I think this was because they needed to get cards brought over from Will Call (not sure..but I know they were waiting on cards). This was around 10:30. It was a breeze inside at GR in MK.

Can I get my Fastpass on the last day of my multi-day ticket?

Yes. As long as it was a multi-day ticket, even if there is only one park day left on it, it is eligible for the GAD FP.

We have 4 GAD passes, but will only be visiting 2 parks and we already have tickets. So, we'd like to use 2 of the passes for FPs, and I'd like to use the others for pins. Is this doable? Do I have to get the pins on my non-park days, or can we use 2 different vouchers (mine for FP, my daughters for the hat/pins) on the same day?

You can definitely use more than one in day, and what you plan is fine. Using more than one for FP in a day does require a manager override, but not for other things.
