I have to say that I get online every morning even before my handy dandy cup of coffee and have to see what is new! I find myself laughing outloud and most of the time I can't wait to see what everyone is talking about.... Am I nuts?!?!? I find myself checking back multiple times during the day.....anyone else have this addiction?

Samantha....look at the post totals under many of the names you see here.

I think it's safe to say that you are not alone. :p

And no, you are not nuts.

It's those Disney haters that fall into that category!

:earseek: Hello my name is Kerri and I'm a DIS addict.::yes::

I get so impatient when the Internet isn't working as fast, to get on here. :scared1: Just this afternoon, the site wasn't coming in, and I was panicking!
Everyone is so helpful, and so quick to give an answer.
This board can be unhealthy though, because I'm on here when hubby comes home, he doesn't even get a hi from me, if I'm reading or replying. :hyper2: Then I'm like oh, you're home! Hi! :rolleyes1
What's great is, you don't have to come here to just get your Disney answers neither. We love our trips to Universal too, and love to read over at the Universal side too.

You are not alone. Everyday when I get to work I make sure that I open the Disboards. Throughout the day, when I have time, I check for any updates. (As you see by my number of posts, I am mostly a lurker:smooth: ).

Everyone here is so helpful and has so much great information and it helps me get my "fix" in between trips :hyper:.

I did start with good intentions. Just wanted DVC information. Didn't know why people said the spent hours and hours in chat rooms and on message boards. Then I saw how nice the people were here and ....

Let's just say I'm hooked. I'd ask for a 12 step program, but I don't want one.

I TRY to allow myself on only 3 boards, but I slip every now and then. Sometimes you just need a bigger Disney fix.

Glad to hear that I'm not alone.

It's been a year since I've found these boards and I blush to think just how much of this year has been spent at this site. My excuse for going to the computer so often is that I am a p/t college professor and I do get e-mails from students regarding classwork. While I am on line, I think, why not check to see what's going on at the Disboards?

Oh well, DH just wants me to be informed and do whatever I can with the points we have and tell him when we're going to WDW again. He's a doll! If I look at him with a certain look, he says "Do we need more points?" Alas, he knows we do, but we also need a new roof and a coat of paint on the house. We're 3-4 years away from retirement and relocating to Florida, and we may as well get some of the enjoyment from those huge house outlays.

Symptoms of an obsessed poster on the DIS Boards :

1. You have over 100 posts in a week.
2. Your homepage is the DIS Boards.
3. You can see a OP subject line and know if there will be an argum... sorry, debate soon.
4. The first thing in the morning you think... I wonder if anyone has posted to my question?
5. The last thing at night you think... I wonder if anyone has posted to my question?
6. You can answer for another poster about certain subjects... (Richyams and occupancy come to mind here).
7. You know who Richyams is.

I'm sure there are more. Please feel free to add....

to add to the list:

8. You can read 'tag fairy' and you won't raise an eyebrow

I too am addicted to this site. My DH cames home from work and finds me on the computer just about every day. He knows what site I am on and I am glad that you all understand, because I do not think he does.

 Hello, my name is Mary. I have a Disney addiction for which there is NO 12 step program. And I like it that way,::yes::

I have been on these boards since 96 or 97, what happens to me is that I will sometimes leave for months or even a year or so. It does get old after awhile. There are more interesting questions here then there used to be, but sometimes you will need a rest from it all. Someday you will leave forever like most have done. What surprises me the most are people like "Doc" who take their time to answer questions at length. PamOKW is another up and coming "Doc" in that department. Cathy of Canada hung around for a long time, she was here for a long time, helped Pete with the board for a long time and now I believe is gone. Most seem to leave sooner or later, but it is fun while it lasts.

And here I thought I was the only one who did this! It's exciting to have people reply to your posts unless they're flaming you!! LOL... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

9. You go from not knowing what LOL means to using SSR, OKW, SAB, MS, ROFR... in your posts almost overnight.

I don't post NEARLY as much as many of you folks, but I am as much a disney nut ::yes:: as ALL of you!!

WOW I can make the Dis my homepage. Thanks for sheding light for us Techno challenged!

Great List!

And to the OP Welcome to our support group!

They say that overcoming denial is the first step, so here goes.

I'm a 2 - 6 times a day DIS checker!

Gosh that felt good.

DH says I'm an idiot, but I'll show her... on our trip home together in August.:o

Guilty here too! I check the boards everyday, unless I am away and cant get to a computer. But I cherish that since I can spend hours going back to read the old posts that I missed.

Wow! And I thought I was alone!
Obviously more of a lurker, but a Disney nut (and DIS boards, too) nonetheless. Where else can you go and get great information and laugh at the same time. :thewave:
Yeah, my DH thinks I'm nuts. Finally, it's been confirmed!

Got so excited about the subject matter, that wen I replied, I entered the wrong button and made a new thread Oh well, must have had the shakes!!!!
