I sure do get tired of the animosity - here and in "real life". I am an Obama supporter but respect the opinions of those who support McCain.
We all, I think, have the same goal in mind - but have different routes to get there.

As I said, I can understand your lack of interest for Obama. It just seems you're spending a lot more time around the Conservative Board lately. I know you're done with the Democratic Party, although I assume you'll write in Hillary, but honest question, do you even consider yourself a liberal anymore?

I would have not voted at all. HOWEVER Once the DNC stole the delagates from the "uncommitted" pool in MI. (btw Barack was the one who came up with the "uncommitted' vote to begin with...Isnt that convienent?) then they blatantly took 4 delagates from Hillary...AND admitted to throwing out the Rules for this "special" occasion, which this mess they themselves caused to begin with.

The Democratic party STOPPED being Democratic.

That was it. I was done , and will retaliate by voting for McCain.

Besides I may not like all of McCains platform, but I do believe him when he talks. Remember the next President must be President of ALL the people, I know McCain will fulfill that. Obama will be President for just the Elite. Not for one millisecond do I believe him to be a man of the people. As I mentioned in other threads...Where are all these people that Obama has helped all these years with all his experience???????



And as far as the Conservative Board...NOT ONCE was I ever attacked there. We dont always agree, but their are adults there.
Cant say that for the Liberal Board or the Obama thread. One even hints about not liking Obama and the daggers come out!

DisUnc, I know that you've rejected the Democratic Party and I understand your reasoning. Do you still consider yourself a Liberal? There are so many things that I dislike about McCain's platform simply because I am a Liberal. I admit that I do lean a bit toward the moderate area though so I don't dislike McCain as much as some do.

Personally, I'm curious because I'm seeing more of those who are Liberal gravitating towards McCain than I expected. I'm wondering why they're doing so (besides the understandable disgust with the Democratic Party).

Of course, DisUnc doesn't have to answer. I'm just mulling over a lot of things in my head right now so I might get a little nosy sometimes.

You do realize that when a former Presidential candidate claims that Obama should be added onto the Bible...and that he is SERIOUS. And that Obama supporters have remained silent on this, as well Obama.

I believe what Rev. Jackson said was that the EVENT of a major party nomination of a black man was so historically significant that it should be added to the Bible. Not Obama personally because he's the second coming, as you would like us all to think. Besides, since when is a candidate or his supporters responsible for everything another supporter might say? Especially considering the source of the quote, nobody has to denounce every off-the-wall thing that man says.
