I will try to answer this but I'm probably an idiot for doing so.
I don't doubt that many McCain supporters feel that Hillary is more beatable. They talk of a mystique that many Obama supporters seem to feel he has and they don't really know how to deal with that. (Who does?) They can also attack Hillary for things her husband has done.
Some Conservatives have a different outlook though. Keep in mind that in dear old Texas I'm surrounded by them. They really don't have much faith in McCain and they believe that Hillary is nowhere as Liberal as Obama. That is arguable of course but that's what I've been told.
Nothing scientific here but how much of this prattle is anyway?
I tend to agree with your comments, so if you're an idiot then that makes at least two of us.

I guess I just wanted to hear it from a Hillary supporter because there seem to be some that think the extreme right wing suddenly has the best interests of the country at heart, rather than their own. Thanks for the honest answer, as it really is appreciated.
It works both ways. Do you not see some of the nastiness here? Do you really only see this sunshine and hope and not the constant vitriol directed at Hillary? Some of it is deserved, I don't deny that, but a lot of it borders on outright hatred and is just vicious. So truly it works both ways.
But, as others have mentioned already in response and as I've said time and time and time again, we are criticizing
HILLARY, not the people, such as yourself, that support her. The people over there that we've had problems with have criticized
us. Oh, they'll whale away on Obama too, but that's to be expected, even if we don't agree with it. But I can easily deal with someone who is critical of my chosen candidate. That's not the case when someone dismisses my political opinion as uninformed and inspired by nothing more than pretty words and false hope...that we are nothing more than kool aid drinkers who blindly follow our "mesiah".

If you look through the Hillary thread, starting from the beginning, you simply can't miss those classifications of Obama's
supporters. Frankly, I think that makes all the difference in the world.
