I don't care either. What goes on in their marriage is between them.

However, I do find it hypocritical of Hillary's supporters to claim Obama shows a lack of judgment to spend 20 years in the company of a minister who says things that many find offensive when Hillary spent more than 20 years married to someone who did things many people found offensive.

You don't choose your family, they say, but you do choose your minister. Well you choose your spouse too. Hillary apparently finds something worthy in Bill, despite his moral transgressions. So why is it so shameful that Obama finds something worthy in Rev. Wright, despite his?

That's a good point. One's religious beliefs are a very private matter, too. At least, they should be.

There are some on the DIS who I fully believe are racists in disguise. I also think a lot of the ones who blow up over the Rev. Wright issue have underlying motives for doing so; that might sound silly but I think they do realize that there are a lot of people on the DIS who could decide on their candidate based on what is said here.

In all fairness I think that the main underlying motive (for the Hillary supporters) was to have a reason to not vote for Obama if he gets the nomination. I think it's more about bitterness that Obama is still leading no matter how many times they play the G-D quote.

I think some of the reaction from both Hillary supporters and Cons is closeted racism. Some of the reaction and hysteria on the Wright threads is so over the top it cannot possibly be over a few sound bites from a candidate's pastor.

The closet racism isn't really coming as much from the Clinton supporters as much as it is coming from the Conservatives. Namely those who continue to bring up the Rev. Wright issue on here. I'm sure there are some Clinton supporters jumping for joy as well, seeing as they now have a reason to not vote for Obama instead of just saying it's because of his color/race.

I am sure that Dean and company are tired of all the damage Hillary is doing to the party. That's the Clintons for you. She is going to try and win at all costs, and her latest attempt is to try and persuade the pledged delegates to change their votes in favor of her.

You really need to go find out how Obama - that "far left liberal" worked with the ultra-conservative police unions and ultra-liberal anti-death penalty advocates to pass legislation in Illinois that both groups could live with regarding the taping of police questioning of suspects. He got two groups that usually wouldn't be caught dead on the same side of any issue to actually agree and fully support (the bill was nearly unanimously passed in a split legislature) his compromise bill.

I think, IRL, that's why you see Obama pulling Independants and moderate Republicans (Obamacans), tired of partisan bickering, into the fold. I also think that when you look at the national poll numbers and a sense of the overall attitude of the country concerning Obama's candidacy, you really see how out of whack the general consensus is here on the DIS. It sometimes feels like we are swimming against the current with all the anti-Obama silliness here, but the reality of the situation is, Obama's prospects are looking light years better than that of Clinton and McCain.

Any self respecting woman would have left, but that's just my opinion and what I would have done. Perhaps if it was a one time thing, we could have gone to counseling, but I doubt it. My Husband knows not to go there because he will be living elsewhere and he knows I'm more than serious. It's a matter of self respect.

And in regard to Wright? What did Clinton's preacher say??

I'm at work too, but there are a couple snippets on the View's website. From what they show online, he does fine, in his usual, charming, understated style, although the questions are complete softballs "You're related to Brad Pitt?" and "Barbara thinks you're sexy!!". Honestly, what else would you expect?

Pardon us, but we're not all posting at 1 or 2am. But where did you get attacked? Did you say you believe Obama is Muslim? The "under a rock" comment was chris1gill's reference to the 10% polled who still think Obama's a Muslim--particularly now after the whole Rev. Wright thing having been all over the media. I would call believing that living under a rock, wouldn't you? And no, Obama didn't attend school in Africa, it was Indonesia. There he went to Catholic and public schools, the latter, naturally, having predominantly Muslim students.

Honestly, I think we're all getting too touchy here. There are some people who are relieved they have an "excuse" to not vote for Obama because they're closet racists. That doesn't mean everyone who's for Hillary falls under that umbrella, and not everyone who's for Obama is a closet sexist. Seriously--we all need to get over ourselves and not get offended at every other comment.

My prediction is she's going to be handed a very public kick in her *** by the SD's who've had it with the arrogance, the padded resume, the praising of John McCain, and sense of entitlement to the presidency.

I think that public " kick" will happen within a few days after the last primary.

Btw, Obama's negatives are going down and Hillary's are somewhere in the low to mid 50's.

I don't know why they stayed together. I would guess it was for political, economic reasons & for Chelsea. I'm 51 & have been married 20 years.....it doesn't surprise me that they would stay together.

Her Bosnia story was a "whopper" & pretty dumb for someone i consider pretty savvy. Truly a WTH moment.

Hillary's "Wright" comment smelled of political opportunism and not of right/wrong. Yeah, I know she's a politician, but a smart politician knows how to cover their "opportunism" butt with the right platitudes.
