Here's a plainspeak bombshell:
Democratic Party Official: Clinton Pursuing 'The Tonya Harding Option'

"l just spoke with a Democratic Party official, who asked for anonymity so as to speak candidly, who said we in the media are all missing the point of this Democratic fight.

The delegate math is difficult for Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, the official said. But it's not a question of CAN she achieve it. Of course she can, the official said.

The question is -- what will Clinton have to do in order to achieve it?

What will she have to do to Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, in order to eke out her improbable victory?

She will have to "break his back," the official said. She will have to destroy Obama, make Obama completely unacceptable.

"Her securing the nomination is certainly possible - but it will require exercising the 'Tonya Harding option.'" the official said. "Is that really what we Democrats want?"

The Tonya Harding Option -- the first time I've heard it put that way.

It implies that Clinton is so set on ensuring that Obama doesn't get the nomination, not only is she willing to take extra-ruthless steps, but in the end neither she nor Obama win the gold.

(In this metaphor, presumably, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., would be Oksana Baiul. Does that make former President Bill Clinton Jeff Gillooly?)"

Charlie,nj is now telling the dems to stop posting "dirty politics." :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

How funny! Seems to me that most of the "dirty politics" often come from the Cons. Hypocrisy at its finest, folks.

DisneyJosh, saw that, VERY funny :rotfl2: See, the rules don't apply to them either!

Lilyv, the only bombshell about what was written, is that she's doing it, propping John McCain up for this year so she can run again in four years....

On an aside, Donna Brazille just said one of them should step aside in June and she didn't seem to have too much preference as to which one...

If any of you can watch Chris Mathews re-run at 7, you should try, it's about Nafta & a certain President and first lady, very interesting nonetheless...

Oh, now, who among us hasn't had the occasional slip of the tongue and accidentally said that we'd experienced sniper fire?
Liar, Liar, Pantsuit on Fire - I want a bumper sticker that says this.

Do we want a president who hears imaginary sniper fire?

Anyone watching Hardball? I can't believe the representative who is trying to spend HRC's overexaggerated experience to say she will be ready on day 1.

I watched it at 5pm, I just shook my head, be sure to watch the WHOLE show.... it gets better...

OK, who has the magic decoder ring?

Reid: "Things Are Being Done" To End Dem Primary Before Convention

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) hints at some behind-the-scenes activity to bring the Democratic nomination race to a close:

Q: Do you still think the Democratic race can be resolved before the convention?

Reid: Easy.

Q: How is that?

Reid: It will be done.

Q: It just will?

Reid: Yep.

Q: Magically?

Reid: No, it will be done. I had a conversation with Governor Dean (Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean) today. Things are being done.

Wow Honu! That's a scoop! I am really glad some of the party leaders are considering options for this whole mess. It certainly doesn't make sense for the DNC to wait months, while the democratic nominees go after each other day after day. OK I'm crossing my fingers maybe we'll hear something sooner rather than later. :goodvibes

By the way, there's a link within your link http://www.lvrj.com/news/16948521.html It has some good explanations, a plan that that they're working on for seating Florida and Michigan. (He makes it clear they aren't victims, they broke the rules.)

Actually, what they will do is put Howard Dean on the ticket and he will be our nominee, Reid just didn't want to say it

Chris you're always great at interpreting this stuff. I guess it's possible we could hear fantastic news, or we could hear very scary news.

HRC claims sleep deprivation is the reason for her misstatements given on more than 1 occasion. What will be the next excuse???:happytv:

I just hope people out there don't really believe and accept these excuses :scared1:

Sadly, they REALLY do....

Lilyv, thanks for seeing it through my lens :magnify:

Now if she said she was sleep walking and talking, I'd cut her some slack.
But sleep deprived? I dunno. I can honestly say I've never been really tired and accidentally mentioned that I experienced sniper fire. I'm betting most of America is the same. Usually when I'm tired, I just say I'm tired. ;)

Not only saying it, but saying it several times and with such animation :magnify: Let's look at this closely....

Wait a minute...she doesn't know what she's saying when she's sleep-deprived and she wants to be the one to answer the phone at 3 am!!!!
