Luckily it was only about 30 miles from where I worked. I WAS on pins and needles the whole way, wondering if they would be gone before I got there. I was flying LOW the whole way. :car:

Funny story
When I got to the place to get the tickets, there were like 6 people in the area. I thought "Oh good, not too bad." One of the workers said "We don't have any right now but when we get more in I will let you know." I thought ..Oh HECK no, I didn't miss it did I? The worker went on to say "You can always buy the signs on the website." She was talking about yard signs.
I just about fainted right there. :faint: My hand was shaking so bad when I signed up for my tickets. The guy she was talking to turned to me and said that it was too bad they were only giving out 2 tickets per person. He and his friend were at the gym down the road when they heard the news and thought well, why not? I told him I have just driven from Winston to get the tickets - he looked suprised and ask why? :scared1: ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!

But I have them and that's all that counts. :woohoo: :dance3: :jumping1:

The doors open at 11am but it doesn't start until 1pm and we plan to be there about 10:30 so I hope we get good seats.
I will try to get some pictures and post them tomorrow night.

That is SO funny about the yard signs! Very funny about that guy too, makes you wonder! 30 miles is a L-O-N-G way when you want to get somewhere right NOW..... good luck tomorrow, get there ASAP & take notes of anything that comes up that is different than what is said in the regular arena's!

Did you see the latest campaign? Anyone who donates any amount between now and the 31st has a chance to be one of four to have a private dinner with Obama. I was due to donate again anyway, but how cool would that be?!?

So glad it worked out!! We'll all be looking forward to reading about your thoughts, experiences and highlights!:goodvibes

I looked into it this morning and just read that he's travelling from western PA and ending in the southeast. I wish they'd announce a schedule so I could make plans.

It's about time! Hillary and co. have been all over the place around here.

My mom heard he is going to be in Shippensburg....

I heard he was starting in Philly and ending in Philly but they did not mention where he would be.

McCain gave a speech on the housing problem, it was terrible. He really is a boring speaker and he really didn't say much other than he would not bail out the people who bought homes they couldn't afford. No details on how he would do it. At least he didn't do the Bush smirk.

I heard the speech as well, it was hard to try and pay attention after he said "people bought homes they could not afford", I tried REALLY hard, I did, but god was he boring and had very very little to ACTUALLY say as far as any action he would take. He said more information to come later, umm, okay then, we'll just wait :rolleyes1

Hey maybe someone from the supporters thread would make it. That'd be great. I would be thrilled to have dinner with him. :cool1:

Reedi - have a great time! I went to a similar event here in VA and I got there at 8:30 am and was about 50th in line. Doors opened at noon and it started at 2. They didn't let us sit in the "best" seats right up front as they were already reserved but we still got great seats. :thumbsup2

I couldn't find anything on the PA tour yet either but I did hear he will be in Scranton, probably at the U. of Scranton.

Sniff...The problems of the riff-raff. One must mention the little people and their housing problems occasionally. I'm sure he can relate. :rolleyes1
His net worth is about a cool 40-45 million dollars.

Nothing like dumping your first wife and marrying rich...it's a good gig, if you can pull it off!!

 Nomination, here we go! If we even hold Hillary to within a 10 point win, that is huge for us!

Hooray!!! Great news!
(Just for information, is North Carolina considered a legitimate state by Clinton, or is one of those places that is irrelevant? Someone really should print a map-I have a hard time keeping straight which states are allowed in her US, and who isn't.)

It depends if she wins it or not...right now, NC's not looking so important...stay tuned!

Well, yes, some people bought homes they couldn't afford. But not everyone goes into foreclosure because of an interest-only loan or something like that.

The latest from Hillary:

Not 'my pastor' Posted: Tuesday, March 25, 2008 1:36 PM by Domenico Montanaro
Filed Under: 2008, Clinton
From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
Clinton decided to weigh in on the Rev. Jeremiah Wright controversy, telling the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, "He would not have been my pastor," Clinton said. "You don't choose your family, but you choose what church you want to attend."

She continued later, "You know, I spoke out against Don Imus (who was fired from his radio and television shows after making racially insensitive remarks), saying that hate speech was unacceptable in any setting, and I believe that. I just think you have to speak out against that. You certainly have to do that, if not explicitly, then implicitly by getting up and moving."

On her sniper gaffe, "I was sleep-deprived, and I misspoke."

On earmarks: "I am proud of my earmarks. Part of the reason that I won New York by 67 percent are my earmarks."

DON'T get too excited, you'll jinx us!!!

But seriously, this is the first and only poll I've seen taken this week, I'd like to see other pollster's polls, but they are all from a week ago...

Maybe someone should ask her about her Pastor Manning in Harlem??? His stuff is so out there and FOR her, that it goes well beyond inflammatory...

About the sniper gaffe, she was so excited about it while telling the story I don't think it was sleep deprivation....

But given what McCain has said today :scared1: Well, it just scares me!

Lilyv, NC only counts if she wins... case closed!

And although some people bought homes they could not afford, not everyone did so, so to lump them together, PLEASE... how about the exportation of thousands and thousands of US jobs & giving the companies tax breaks to do it! It's immoral. How many people relied on jobs they'd had for 15 years to pay their mortgage only to have the job shipped off? I'm sure it's not a rare occurrence.
